Developing projects at BRC begins by forming a partnership with clients, exploring their creative visions, and then generating the most efficient process to transform these visions into reality. Carmel is a key participant in the BRC creative process and has been successful in crafting the initial vision of projects into poetic and succinct foundational statements that get everyone moving in the same direction. Carmel is currently spearheading an ambitious reinvention of the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, performing a vital contribution to the National Health Museum and Niagara Falls guest experience projects, and helping to mastermind a bold effort by Wells Fargo to bring its remarkable legacy to people across the United States. Until recently, Carmel was Manager of Creative Development a Department known for creativity, client service, and attention to detail. Carmel was a steward of this reputation. As part of her role, she managed BRCs in-house team of art directors, designers, writers, illustrators and graphic designers. Carmel helped ensure the Creative Development team delivered a high quality, dynamic product concepts and designs that were on time, on budget and on target with client expectations. She brings the same kind of enthusiasm and integrity to Project Development that she employed in Creative Development. Carmel's role as a BRC manager is enriched by her years of experience in entertainment, advertising and theater. A certified paralegal, she first joined BRC in 2001 as our Manager of Business Affairs and Contract Administration. Carmel was instrumental in drafting, negotiating and administering mutually beneficial project contracts for both clients and subcontractors. Prior to joining BRC, Carmel worked as a paralegal for Sony Development. Carmel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in theater production from Towson University, and Paralegal Certification from UCLA.

Derek Hibbs is one of BRC's newest designers. He's also one of the most versatile, and most talented. In less than a year's time, Derek has worked on some of the premiere BRC projects and made invaluable contributions. He has provided outstanding conceptual design work for the Museum of Liverpool, the Sears Tower Skydeck Tour, and the ambitious reinvention of the Adler Planetarium. He has consistently wowed clients (no easy task) with his command of complex 3-D modeling software programs. Derek works as well within a team as he does leading one by anticipating potential problems and heading them off before they happen. Derek recently lead the design, development and production of a dramatic and detailed 3-D fly-through of the Museum of Liverpool which was primarily used, with great success, to launch their fundraising efforts. Derek possesses an innate ability to understand complex space and thinks three dimensionally from an architectural perspective. His portfolio was described as "so good it's scary" by another designer at BRC, which led to his hiring. He's a valuable bridge between the blue sky thinking of concept and the pragmatic necessity of production.
