As Vice President, New Business Development, he is responsible for identifying, assessing and incubating new business opportunities, overseeing the companya s venture capital portfolio, and acting as the corporate lead on strategic opportunities. Prior to this, he served as VP/GM, One Laptop Per Child (OLPC), where he established and managed global operations and sales-related activities associated with this important cause to bring revolutionary, low-cost, and child-friendly laptops to developing nations. In the first year, nearly one million laptops were shipped to over 25 countries. Prior to joining Brightstar, Jeff held a number of senior management positions in the technology industry including President/General Manager of the #1 Internet photo-sharing Application Service Provider (operating in 22 countries), and Vice President of Marketing (Americas) for Ericsson Mobile Phones overseeing a $2 billion business. Prior to Ericsson, he incubated and led a $200 million business unit for Epson in the multi-media projector and digital camera space. Earlier in his career, Jeff held senior roles in corporate strategy consulting and consumer-package goods brand management on top brands now part of P&G (TampaxA tampons) and Unilever (Faberge BrutA ). Jeff graduated with a bachelor of science in marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and currently serves on three boards.
