Jim Lawrence joined Unilever in September 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. He was elected to the Boards of Unilever NV and PLC in May 2008. Prior to joining Unilever, Jim was at General Mills which he joined as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 1998. From September 2000 through May 2006, Jim was responsible for the company's international business. On June 1, 2006 he was elected Vice Chairman of General Mills, Inc. Prior to joining General Mills, Jim held positions as Executive Vice President of Northwest Airlines and President and CEO of Pepsi-Cola Asia, Middle East, Africa. He was Co-founder and Chairman of The LEK Partnership, a corporate strategy and merger/acquisition consulting firm headquartered in London. Previously, he was a Partner of Bain and Company and headed their London and Munich offices. Jim serves on the Board of British Airways Plc as well as the Board of Overseers of the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota. Born on 18 October 1952 in Pennsylvania, USA, Jim holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Yale University, and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He is married with three children.

Willie Walsh joined the airline in May 2005 as Chief Executive Designate, succeeding Rod Eddington as Chief Executive on 1 October 2005. He is an honorary Board Member of Flight Safety International. He is Branch President of the Heathrow Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society, an honorary Member of The Aviation Club and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK). Willie is married with one daughter. His interests include all sports with a particular interest in soccer, rugby and motor sports.

After obtaining a first class degree in Acccountancy, Barry joined British Airways plc where he held a number of management positions across the company, with his last role being part of the management team that led the $4 billion proposed tie up with American Airlines. During this time he became a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, obtaining the highest worldwide mark in one of the stage 4 final papers. Barry then moved on to Amersham plc where he held a number of roles including Senior Manager Corporate Governance, leading Amersham through their US Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements. Barry then returned to his home town of Newcastle where he took up the position of Finance Director for the Sage Mid Market Division, before deciding to take a different direction at the beginning of 2005, when he joined his father David as a Financial Adviser at Lowes. He worked alongside him for just over a year, learning about the business, and most importantly the client's needs, and now looks after all of David's clients as well as his own expanding client base.

Martin joined Logica plc in 1993 as chief executive and became group chief executive of LogicaCMG following the merger of Logica and CMG in December 2002. Prior to 1993, he was supervisory managing director of the GEC Marconi Radar and Control Systems group of companies. Martin has been a non-executive director of British Airways plc since 2000. He was a non-executive director of ASDA Group plc from 1996 to 1999 and of Boots Group plc from 1999 to July 2006.

Dr Ashok Ganguly has served as a Director on our Board since 1999. He is currently the Chairman of Firstsource Solutions Limited and ABP Private Limited (Ananda Bazar Patrika Group) and has been a Director on the Central Board of Reserve Bank of India, since November 2000. Dr Ganguly also currently serves as a non-executive director of Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Knowledge Park and Tata AIG Life Insurance Co Limited and a Director on the Advisory Board of Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited and Hemogenomics Private Limited. He is a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Trade and Industry as well as the Investment Commission and the India-USA CEO Council, set up by the Prime Minister of India and the President of the U.S.. He is also a member of the National Knowledge Commission to the Prime Minister of India. He is a former member of the Board of British Airways Plc (1996-2005) and Unilever Plc/NV (1990-1997).
