Mr. Durante has been chief operating office at British American Tobacco p.l.c, the world's second-largest publicly traded tobacco group since January 2008. Prior to that, he was BAT's regional director for Africa and the Middle East. Mr. Durante joined BAT's Brazilian subsidiary, Souza Cruz, in 1981, and has held a number of financial and managerial positions for BAT affiliates in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. In 1996 he was seconded to BAT's head office in London as marketing finance controller, and he was appointed finance director in Hong Kong in 1998. He returned to Brazil in 2002 as finance director for Souza Cruz and was appointed general manager of Souza Cruz later that year. He became BAT's regional director for Africa and the Middle East in March 2006.
Ben was appointed Director, Europe in January 2004 having previously joined the Management Board in 2001 as Development Director. Since joining British American Tobacco in 1990, he has covered a number of senior marketing, finance and management roles particularly in Europe, Pakistan and Russia.

Jean-Marc was appointed Director, Western Europe in April 2008. After beginning his career with the Kraft-Jacobs-Suchard Group he joined British American Tobacco in 1994 as Marketing Director in Switzerland. He went on to hold a variety of marketing and general management roles in Europe and South East Asia.
Jimmi joined the Group as a Marketing Director and as a Territorial Director in 1991, having held various senior marketing and business appointments in Procter & Gamble and Jacobs Suchard. He has been a member of the Management Board since 1996.
Michael was appointed Director, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs in 1998 following the demerger of B.A.T Industries. He had previously joined B.A.T Industries in 1989 from Charles Barker, a leading financial and corporate public relations, advertising and design agency, where he was Chief Executive.
Peter joined British American Tobacco in 1980 and worked in a variety of operational and general management roles across the Group. He was appointed Global Operations Director in 2003.
Rudi joined British American Tobacco in 1988. He has held a number of senior human resources roles across the Group (including Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Central and South Asia). He has been Director, Human Resources since July 2004.
With a ten year career in public relations, Hoai Anh brings to Pioneer Communications a wealth of experience in corporate marketing and media relations management. A former Vietnam Investment Review journalist and corporate communications manager of Ford Motor Company and British American Tobacco, Hoai Anh has developed comprehensive knowledge of corporate marketing strategies and the way the media works in Vietnam. Recently, he led the agency team to successfully implement the publicity program for the Vietnam Day in Sweden, the largest PR project ever undertaken by a Vietnam-based international company. He specializes in business communications strategy and has a keen interest in corporate marketing. Hoai Anh holds a Diploma in Business Management from Henley Management College, UK, and a B.A from the Hanoi University for Foreign Studies.
Martin Summers is International Social Accountability Manager at British American Tobacco, working in their global headquarters in London. He has been with British American Tobacco since September 2000, covering a range of regulatory and reputational issues, and was previously the Industry &Government Affairs Manager for the UK subsidiary of the American pharmaceutical company, Merck & Co, Inc. He has also worked at the CATO Institute and the Institute of Economic Affairs. Most recently he led the private sector work stream on customs administration reform for the Commission for Africa. He is a graduate in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Warwick.
Ratu Meli is the Engineering Services Manager with British American Tobacco. His interests include computers [assembly & design], aircraft research and space exploration. He has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and System Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and more. Ratu Meli has also served the Atlantic College Estate Service as a coordinator. He has co-researched and written articles on various engineering issues including "The Nuclear Threat - Fallout and Waste Management" at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Virginia Tech., USA. He also spends his time as a trainer and consultant with FNTC as well as with the Ministry of Health where he helped set up out systems as a volunteer.

Ken Clarke is Member of Parliament for Rushcliffe, as well as a Non-Executive Director at Foreign and Colonial Investment Trust plc and Independent News and Media (UK) Limited. He has also served since 1998 as Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of British American Tobacco p.l.c., where he chairs the Remuneration Committee and the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee and sits on the company's Audit Committee and Nominations Committee. Educated at Nottingham High School and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, Ken became interested in politics when he was President of Cambridge Union. A barrister-at-law and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1980, he was elected Member of Parliament for Rushcliffe in the 1970 General Election and served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1993 to 1997. Ken first came across British American Tobacco early in Margaret Thatcher's government. "I was Inner Cities Minister and I encountered the company's work as a good corporate citizen in supporting urban regeneration projects. British American Tobacco is actually one of the more advanced and responsible British companies I've come across." Married with two children, Ken enjoys a wide variety of interests. "I like to keep up the tradition of British eccentricity, so I have lots of hobbies. I'm a very keen bird watcher. I use it as an excuse to go to wild and beautiful places - combining that wherever I go with good eating and drinking.
Nelson Del Rio, Principal of the real estate development and investment company Sonnenblick Del Rio, is a graduate of Harvard Law School, a member of the California State Bar and a licensed California Real Estate Broker and Officer with more than 18 years of experience in various aspects of law, real estate, acquisition and finance. Prior to establishing Sonnenblick Del Rio and its immediate predecessors, Mr. Del Rio was an attorney at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom where he assisted in providing legal advice with respect to the establishment of corporate working capital lines, mezzanine financing, high-yield bond financing and large merger and acquisition transactions. Among the more notable transactions Mr. Del Rio has worked on as an attorney are the sale of The Farmers Insurance Group to British American Tobacco for $5.2 billion and the auction and sale of American Medical International to a joint venture established by the Pritzker Family and The First Boston Company for approximately $3.65 billion. Mr. Del Rio is a member of the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, an organization whose members are the Who's Who of real estate equity investors in the Western United States, and a Member of the Board of the University of Washington Foundation. In addition, Mr. Del Rio is the Chairman of the Board of Sonnenblick Del Rio El Monte Asset Leasing Corporation and Sonnenblick Del Rio West Los Angeles Leasing Corporation, each a California not-for-profit corporation with responsibility for administering large facility leases. Del Rio is involved in a range of other charitable activities including, but not limited to, the establishment of the endowed "Sonnenblick Del Rio Global Citizen Scholarship" at the University of Washington which awards a scholarship to an outstanding disadvantaged minority student each year to study abroad, as well as substantial contributions to various other educational institutions.
