Virgil adds over ten (10) years of engineering management expertise to Covelight's management team. Prior to Covelight, he was Vice President, R&D and Co-Founder of SaberFile. In this position he pioneered the thin client SSL-VPN solution and designed and developed a high performance encrypted UDP network transport protocol. He also designed and created a Web-based file appliance for secure enterprise data management and access. As Director of R&D for Hummingbird Ltd., Virgil architected and oversaw the development of Hummingbird's HCS product platform the foundation for the company's document management, business intelligence and web portal product offerings. Each of these products sold into Fortune 500 companies and generated over $50-million of annual revenue. He also supervised the development of Hummingbird's JuMP Platform the foundation for Web based X server and host access products. Prior to Hummingbird, Virgil was one of four engineering team members at Beame and Whiteside software that positioned the company for a successful acquisition by Hummingbird. At Beame and Whiteside, Virgil designed and created a first generation high performance NNTP server for the then emerging Windows NT platform. The networking engine employed in this offering would later help build the infrastructure of Hummingbird's successful HCS-based product offerings. Virgil is an alumnus of the Governor's School of North Carolina and is an honors graduate of North Carolina State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Computer Science and Physics.

Jessica Butler is responsible for driving product management and product marketing initiatives at Handshake Software. She is a veteran product manager with twenty years in the software industry, including eight years at Hummingbird as the Senior DM Solutions Product Manager from 1998 until 2003. At Hummingbird Jessica supervised the successful release of all DM solutions up to DM 5. Previously, Jessica served as Director of Technical Account Management Services at PC DOCS before its acquisition by Hummingbird and held prior positions at PC DOCS in various technical and technical support capacities. Jessica's knowledge and understanding of the deployment and use of enterprise solutions in professional organizations worldwide, across all traditional vertical markets, empowers Handshake Software to position and organize for significant growth.
