Mr. Fishman is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travelers. He served as the Company's Chief Executive Officer since the Merger, and assumed the additional role of Chairman in September 2005. From October 2001 until the Merger, Mr. Fishman had been Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of The St. Paul Companies, Inc. Prior to October 2001, Mr. Fishman served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of The Travelers Insurance Group, Inc., (which became Travelers Property Casualty Corp. in 2002 and merged with a subsidiary of St. Paul in 2004) (from 2000) and as Chief Executive Officer and President of Travelers Property Casualty Corp. (which became Travelers Insurance Group Holdings Inc. in 2002) ("Holdings") (from 1998) and as Chairman of Holdings (from March 2000 to January 2001). Mr. Fishman held several key executive posts at Primerica, Travelers and Citigroup from 1989 to October 2001. At the University of Pennsylvania, he is a member of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Overseers of the Graduate School of Education and the Industry Advisory Board of the Financial Institutions Center for The Wharton School. He serves on the Board of Directors of the National Academy Foundation.
Mr. MacLean was named President and Chief Operating Officer in June 2008, following three years as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for all insurance operations, including Personal Insurance, Business Insurance, and Financial, Professional & International Insurance, including the company’s runoff businesses. He is also responsible for Claim Services, including claim service delivery and technical claim results. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. MacLean was Executive Vice President, Claim Services and before that, 1999 to 2002, he served as President of Select Accounts for Travelers Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. Previously, he served in a number of senior financial roles after joining Travelers in 1988, following his experience as audit manager at Peat Marwick (now KPMG LLP). Mr. MacLean holds a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and a master’s degree from the University of South Carolina.

Mr. Kinney is president of Field Management for Travelers, leading the company’s 13 U.S. regional presidents of field management to maximize the value of the Travelers franchise with our distribution force. Prior to his current responsibilities, Mr. Kinney served in a dual role as regional executive for the Northeast Region and as regional vice president for the Northeast Region of Select Accounts. Since joining the company in 1983, Mr. Kinney has held a number of positions including Risk Management Information Specialist, National Account Executive, Workers’ Compensation Managed Care Product Manager, and vice president of Sales and Marketing, Select Accounts.
Tom Kunkel is President of Bond & Financial Products for Travelers. Mr. Kunkel joined a predecessor of Travelers in 1984, with four years of industry experience, and from there assumed positions of increasing responsibility in several field offices, including Regional Vice President. Beginning in 2001, he progressed through various key roles, including Regional Chief Underwriting Officer for Bond’s Construction Surety business, head of Bond’s field management organization, and head of Bond’s Commercial Surety business. In 2005, he was promoted to President of the Bond & Financial Products organization.
Alan D. Schnitzer is vice chairman and chief legal officer for Travelers. He oversees the company’s legal function and public policy and government affairs function. He also oversees the Financial, Professional & International Insurance business segment. In addition, he works closely with other members of the company’s senior leadership team on a wide range of business and strategic matters. Mr. Schnitzer joined Travelers in April 2007. He previously served as Travelers’ lead outside counsel for a number of years as a partner in the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP, where he advised corporate clients on a variety of transactions and general corporate law matters. Mr. Schnitzer is a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee of The Legal Aid Society, the nation’s oldest and largest provider of legal services to the indigent, with approximately 850 lawyers located in New York. Mr. Schnitzer received his undergraduate degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a dual major in finance and accounting and his J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Mr. Heyman has been Vice Chairman since May 2005. Before that, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer (at St. Paul Travelers since the merger, and prior to the merger, at The St. Paul ). Mr. Heyman joined The St. Paul in May 2002 from Citigroup, where he was Chairman of Citigroup Investments. Prior to joining Citigroup’s predecessor, Travelers Group, Mr. Heyman was a managing Director of Salomon Brothers. Before that, he served as Director of Market Regulation at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, DC. Mr. Heyman graduated from Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Advisory Board of the Bendheim Center for Finance at Princeton University, and the Council on Foreign Relations. In 2007, President Bush appointed him as a director of the Securities Industry Investor Protection Corp. (SIPC).
Mr. Hannon has been Executive Vice President of Enterprise Risk Management since February 2007. He also serves as the company's business conduct officer. Mr. Hannon joined the company in March 2005 as executive vice president of Run-Off Operations from Citigroup where he served as controller and chief accounting officer. Prior to that, he held the position of managing director and chief executive officer of the Citigroup Business Services, the shared service provider for Citigroup businesses. Previously, he was chief financial officer of Travelers Property Casualty Corp. Bill also spent more than 25 years at KPMG, where he was elected a partner in 1981 and later became deputy managing partner of the Financial Services Practice.

Ms. Woodward has been Executive Vice President for Public Policy for the company since June 2008. She joined Travelers from Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she was the founding Executive Director of their Global Markets Institute. During her nine years at Goldman Sachs, Ms. Woodward also served as Vice President and Director of Washington Research for Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Ms. Woodward worked on Capitol Hill for 12 years, serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, as well as Senior Economist for the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on the Budget. Mr. Albano is Executive Vice President for Business Insurance. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President of Commercial Insurance and prior to that he was President of National Accounts. Mr. Clarke is Vice Chairman of Travelers. Before the merger of The St. Paul and Travelers, Mr. Clarke was President of TIGHI and just prior to December 18, 2001 was Chairman and CEO of TIGHI. Ms. Thomsen joined New Profit, Inc., a venture philanthropy firm, as an Executive Partner in September 2006. She served on the board of New Profit from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, she was a co-founding General Partner of Prism Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in healthcare and technology companies. Laurie was employed at Prism from 1995 until she retired from the firm in June 2004. From 1984 until 1995, she worked at the venture capital firm Harbourvest Partners in Boston, where she was a General Partner from 1988 until 1995. Ms. Thomsen was in commercial lending at U.S. Trust Company of New York from 1979 until 1984. Ms. Thomsen is a director of KickStart International and a trustee of Williams College.

Mr. Lipp assumed his current responsibilities as a Senior Advisor with Brysam Global Partners, a private equity firm, in October 2008. From September 2005 to September 2008 Mr. Lipp served as a Senior Advisor and director for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Mr. Lipp retired as the Chairman of Travelers in September 2005. He had served as the Company's Chairman since April 2004. Before April 2004, Mr. Lipp was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Travelers since December 2001. Prior to that, Mr. Lipp held various senior executive positions at Citigroup and Travelers and their predecessor companies since 1986, retiring in 2001 as Vice Chairman of Citigroup and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its Global Consumer Business. Prior to 1986, Mr. Lipp spent 23 years with Chemical Bank, where he rose to the positions of President and Director. Mr. Lipp is a director of the New York City Ballet and a trustee of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.

Thomas R. Hodgson has served as a director since February 2002. From September 1990 to January 1999, Mr. Hodgson served as the president and chief operating officer of Abbott Laboratories.
