Robert D. (Bob) Haley is Vice-President and Partner of Thomas R. Hunt Auctioneers, Bowling Green, KY. He conducted his first auction in 1970 while working in Hospital Administration. In 1978 he entered the auction and real estate business on a full time basis. Specializing in selling residential, agricultural, commercial, luxury and resort properties at auction, he has conducted over 2,000 auctions throughout the United States. Since that time he has served as President of the Certified Auctioneers Institute, as a Director of the National Auctioneers Association, as Chairman of the National Association of Realtors Auction Committee and as a Director and Treasurer of the Kentucky Auctioneers Association. Bob was instrumental in the development of the AARE (Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate) designation, sponsored by the Certified Auctioneers Institute (now Auction Marketing Institute) and has served as an instructor for that designation. He also has conducted training seminars for the National Auctioneers Association, for state Auctioneer Associations throughout the country, as well as for the National Association of Realtors. Bob is a recognized innovator and leader in the auction industry and has received many state and national awards for advertising and marketing.
