J. Michael Pearson was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International in February 2008. Prior to joining Valeant, Mr Pearson was a Director at McKinsey & Company. Over a 23-year career, he worked with leading CEOs and was an integral driver of major turnarounds, acquisitions, and corporate strategy. Within McKinsey, Mr Pearson held positions including: McKinsey's Board of Directors, head of the global Pharmaceutical Practice and head of McKinsey's mid-Atlantic region.
Mr. Pearson holds a BS and BSE from Duke University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and earned his MBA from University of Virginia, winning the Shermet Award. Mr Pearson is also an Eagle Scout.
Elisa Karlson joined Valeant in March 2008 as Chief Administrative Officer at Valeant Pharmaceuticals International.With over twenty years of Human Resources and IT experience, Ms. Karlson oversees the Company’s Human Resources and Internal Communications.
Prior to joining Valeant, Ms. Karlson spent ten years at McKinsey & Co. as Director of Personnel Management and Finance where she led Staffing and Professional Development, Human Resources, Recruiting, Finance and Accounting, and IT. Earlier in her career, she spent over 15 years in Information Technology where she designed and developed mortgage-backed securities and investment banking applications on Wall Street. Later, she moved into strategic IT consulting at the Information Consulting Group, which became part of McKinsey & Co. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ms. Karlson managed the development of large-scale benefits outsourcing services and systems for a service center operation that served over a million participants.
Ms. Karlson holds a B.S. in Biology from Brooklyn College and an MBA in Finance from New York University.

Peter J. Blott is Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. With over 20 years of finance and accounting experience, Mr. Blott oversees Operations Finance, Financial Consolidations and Reporting, and Accounting Shared Services for the company. Mr. Blott has an extensive background in accounting and operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
Before joining Valeant in 2003 Mr Blott was Head of Finance and Logistics for Otsuka Pharmaceuticals Europe. Prior to that he worked for more than 10 years at GlaxoSmithKline (formerly Glaxo Wellcome), where he held a number of management and financial positions within various manufacturing, commercial and head office operations.
Mr. Blott is a UK Chartered Accountant, qualifying with Coopers & Lybrand in London, England, where he also worked as a management accountant. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Economics & Law from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

Steve T. Min joined Valeant in July 2008 as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining Valeant, Mr. Min led a distinguished career in private law at firms such as Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP and Rubin Baum LLP, and most recently at McKinsey & Company as Associate General Counsel. He earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where he was an editor of the Law Review. He also holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business and an A.B. in economics from Columbia College.
Mr. Morfit has been a non-managing member of ValueAct Capital Management, L.P., one of Valeant’s largest investors, since January 2003 and was an associate with ValueAct Capital from January 2001 to December 2002. Prior to joining ValueAct Capital, Mr. Morfit worked in equity research for Credit Suisse First Boston from September 1999 to November 2000. Mr. Morfit currently serves as a director of MSD Ignition, a privately held auto parts company. Mr. Morfit received his Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and is a CFA charterholder.
Mr. Kugelman was appointed to the Board of Directors of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International in October 2002. As chief executive of Coventry Healthcare from 1995 to 1996, Mr. Kugelman was responsible for the general management and repositioning of the company. He has served as a member of Coventry's Board of Directors since 1992, and is currently the chairman of the Audit Committee. Prior to Coventry Healthcare, Mr. Kugelman was the Executive Vice President of American Medical International, where he had responsibility for the company's managed care strategy nationwide. Mr. Kugelman has also served as chief executive officer and director for Health Plan of America (1986-1992), United Medical Plan, Inc. (1983-1986) and Cigna Healthcare of California (1980-1983), where he successfully turned those businesses around. Currently, Mr. Kugelman is a member of the Board of Directors for Arcadian Management Services, Inc. Mr. Kugelman received a bachelor of arts degree from St. John's University in 1966. He also earned a master of management degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management of Vanderbilt University and a master of arts degree from the University of Ulster. Mr. Kugelman served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Iran from 1966 to 1968.

Theo Melas-Kyriazi is currently involved as a founder, director, or consultant in several early stage companies.
Mr. Melas-Kyriazi worked for almost twenty years for Thermo Electron Corporation (NYSE: TMO), a $3B global technology company that manufactures and sells analytical instruments for life science research, manufacturing process control and environmental protection and safety.
Mr. Melas-Kyriazi joined Thermo Electron Corporation as assistant treasurer in 1986, and was treasurer from 1988 to 1994. He was president and CEO of ThermoSpectra Corporation, a publicly-traded subsidiary of TMO, from 1994 to 1998. He then served one year as Thermo Electron's Vice President of Corporate Strategy, and from 1999 to 2004, he was the company's Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Thermo Electron, Mr. Melas-Kyriazi worked for three years in a small private investment banking firm.
Mr. Melas-Kyriazi received a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University (1981), and a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (1983).
