Minerals Technologies Inc. (the "Company") is a resource- and technology-based company that develops, produces and markets worldwide a broad range of specialty mineral, mineral-based and synthetic mineral products and supporting systems and services. The Company has two reportable segments: Specialty Minerals and Refractories. The Specialty Minerals segment produces and sells the synthetic mineral product precipitated calcium carbonate ("PCC") and processed mineral product quicklime ("lime"), and mines mineral ores then processes and sells natural mineral products, primarily limestone and talc. This segment's products are used principally in the paper, building materials, paint and coatings, glass, ceramic, polymer, food, automotive and pharmaceutical industries. The Refractories segment produces and markets monolithic and shaped refractory materials and specialty products, services and application and measurement equipment, and calcium metal and metallurgical wire products. Refractories segment products are primarily used in high-temperature applications in the steel, non-ferrous metal and glass industries.

John A. Sorel is Senior Vice President-Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) Mr. Sorel joined the Minerals, Pigments and Metals Division of Pfizer Inc in 1973 as Assistant Controller at its Adams, Massachusetts, lime, limestone, and precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) manufacturing facility. Between 1977 and 1982, he was Controller for the Lucerne Valley and Victorville, California, limestone and talc processing operations. He moved to the New York Headquarters and was named Controller, Minerals Division, in 1982, a position he held until 1989. Mr. Sorel assumed positions of increasing responsibility at both Pfizer and MTI after the latter company became independent from Pfizer in 1992. These positions include: Director of Finance and Business Development; Vice President, Minerals-International Operations; Vice President and General Manager-Satellite PCC; and Vice President and Managing Director-Paper PCC. In January 2002, he was named Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Finance, and in November 2002 was appointed Senior Vice President-Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.He relinquished the position of Treasurer in 2004. Mr. Sorel is a member of the MTI Corporate Management Committee.

D. Randy Harrison is Senior Vice President, Organization and Human Development. Mr. Harrison joined the Company in March 1987 as a Market Development Manager. In July 1990, he was promoted to National Sales Manager, Paper PCC. In 1994, Mr. Harrison was promoted to Director of Sales, Paper PCC, and in 1997 promoted to Director of Sales & Marketing, Paper PCC. He was named Vice President, Marketing, in 1999 and promoted to Vice President and Managing Director of Specialty Minerals, PCC in 2001. January of 2002 through December 2007, Mr. Harrison was Vice President and Managing Director, Performance Minerals, and became an Officer of the Company and a member of the MTI Leadership Team. Mr. Harrison holds B.S. degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Olgethorpecom University, graduating magna cum laude in 1976; he attended Penn State University, where he received a Masters in Chemistry. Before joining the Company, he worked for American Cyanamid Company from 1978 to 1987. Alain F. Bouruet-Aubertot is Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Minteq International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Minerals Technologies Inc. Mr. Bouruet-Aubertot joined MTI in 2002. Prior to coming to MTI, Mr. Bouruet-Aubertot joined Rhone Poulenc S.A., Chemical Division, in 1983 as Purchasing Manager and held various positions of increasing responsibility including Process Development Manager; Product Development Manager; Manager, Strategic Planning; Vice President, Manufacturing; and Business Director. He left in 1994 to join Lafarge S.A. as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Development. Mr. Bouruet-Aubertot was promoted to President, Gypsum Division, and Corporate Senior Vice President of Lafarge North America in 1996 and remained in that role until he left in 2002 to join MTI. He is a member of the MTI Management Committee. He is a 1980 graduate of Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Paris (ENSCP), France, with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
