Its clients are business and residential customers, fixed and mobile telecoms carriers, mobile operators, and content, application and Internet providers. It has a presence in 80 countries in the United Kingdom, Caribbean, Panama, Macau and Monaco. Founded in 1860 and based in Bracknell, England, the company employs about 15,200 people. It has revenue of $6 billion. In October 2005 the company sold its entire shareholding in Mobile One Limited for about $77 million and also completed its acquisition of Chelys Limited ('Energis') for a cash consideration of approximately $1.1 billion.
