A proven manager himself, Jerry held a variety of manufacturing positions at Ford and A. O. Smith Automotive before joining Textron in l998. There he was executive vice president for global manufacturing. When Collins & Aikman purchased Textron's automotive trim division in 2002, Jerry became president and chief executive officer, and a member of C&A's board of directors. Early in 2004, he moved to American Specialty Corporation (ASC) as chief operating officer. A year and a half later he accepted the appointment as Cadence Innovation's CEO. Committed to his family, Jerry particularly enjoys the time he spends with his granddaughters, and his community. He is actively involved in several community organizations, including the Leukemia Foundation, the Linus Project, United Way, the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
