Cadiz is thirsty for new business. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, Cadiz Inc. (NASDAQ-GM: CDZI) operates and manages land and water resources. The company has about 46,000 acres in southern California, of which 35,000 is located in the Cadiz Valley. It focuses on groundwater storage and supply, desert agriculture, and water-efficient irrigation. Its water resources are used for municipal, agricultural, recreation, and industrial applications. In June 2006, it completed an agreement with Peloton Partners LLP to provide the company with a new long-term capital facility of $36.375 million.

Keith Brackpool is a co-founder of Cadiz Inc. and has served as a member of Cadiz' Board of Directors since September 1986 and as President and Chief Executive Officer since December 1991. Mr. Brackpool assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Cadiz in 2001. Mr. Brackpool has extensive expertise in Western water policy. He was appointed by former California Governor Gray Davis to co-chair his Agriculture and Water Transition Task Force and also served on the Governor’s Commission on Building for the 21st Century, a diverse panel that developed long-term policy proposals to meet the state’s future water, housing, technology and transportation needs.
