James E. Ukrop, age 70, has been a director of Legg Mason since January 1985. Since 1997, he has been the Chairman of the Board of Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc., which operates a chain of supermarkets in Virginia. Mr. Ukrop is a director of Owens & Minor, Inc. and Chairman of First Market Bank.

Paul Higday is Chief Architect and Director of External Systems for Owens and Minor, a leading distributor of health care products. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Originally from Leawood, Kansas (no, he hasn't met Dorothy!), Paul now lives in Richmond, Virginia with his wife Laura and their spoiled cat. In his free time, he enjoys playing softball, reading, skiing, and traveling abroad.

Executive Vice President, Administration since April 2008. Mr. Colpo was Senior Vice President, Operations from 1999 until April 2008. He also served as Senior Vice President, Operations & Technology from April 2005 to July 2006. Mr. Colpo has been with the company since 1981.

E.V. Clarke Executive Vice President, Distribution Executive Vice President, Distribution since April 2008. Mr. Clarke was Group Vice President, Sales & Distribution from October 2006 until April 2008. Previously, Mr. Clarke served as President of Acute Care for McKesson Medical-Surgical from April 2002 until October 2006, when the business was acquired by Owens & Minor.

Senior Vice President, Human Resources since 2001. From 1999 to 2001, Ms. Davis was Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to that, Ms. Davis served as Director, Human Resources & Training in 1999 and Director, Compensation & HRIS from 1995 to 1999. Ms. Davis has been with the company since 1993.

Grace R. den Hartog Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary since February 2003. Ms. den Hartog previously served as a Partner of McGuireWoods LLP from 1990 to February 2003

Hugh F. Gouldthorpe, Jr.'s business card reads "Head Cheerleader." His signature neckties say "high creative." And his smile and handshake say the rest. H.F. "Goldie" Gouldthorpe is a gifted motivational speaker, writer and teacher in leadership, sales, marketing, communications, teamwork and customer service. He is the author of I've Always Looked Up to Giraffes and How to Make a Giraffe Smile, books that focus on leaders and organizations that stand head and shoulders above the crowd. He is the senior vice president of Quality and Communications at Owens & Minor, the nation's largest supplier of branded medical and surgical supplies. He extends his time and talents to the community and is on numerous boards. Hugh is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute.

Mark A. Van Sumeren Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Business Development Senior Vice President, Business Development since July 2006. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, OMSolutionsSM from August 2003 until July 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Van Sumeren served as Vice President for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young from 2000 to 2003. And, from 1993 to 2000 Mr. Van Sumeren served as a Partner for Ernst & Young.

W. Marshall Simpson Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing since November 2007. Previously, Mr. Simpson served as Group Vice President, Sales & Distribution from October 2005 until November 2007, and as Regional Vice President from 2004 to October 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Simpson served as Operating Vice President of Corporate Accounts from 2003 until 2004, and as Operating Vice President of Business Integration from 2002 to 2003. mr. Simpson has been with the company since 1991.

James E. Rogers, 61, has served as President of SCI Investors Inc, a private equity investment firm, since 1993. He also serves on the boards of directors of Wellman, Inc., Caraustar Industries, Inc., Cadmus Communications Inc. and New Market Corp. Mr. Rogers has been a director since 1991.

Robert C. Sledd is the Chairman of Performance Food Group and has held that position since February 1995. Mr. Sledd was one of the Company's co-founders and has served as director since PFG's inception in 1987.

John T. Crotty, 69, is Managing Partner of CroBern Management Partnership, a healthcare investment firm, and President of CroBern, Inc., a healthcare consulting and advisory firm. Prior to co-founding these businesses, Mr. Crotty held several senior management positions during 19 years with American Hospital Supply Corporation. He also serves on the boards of directors of three private companies in the healthcare industry and one public company, Omnicare, Inc. Mr. Crotty has been a director since 1999.

Mr. Broaddus retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond in 2004, where he had served as President from 1993 to 2004. In this role he served as a member of the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System. Prior to his term as president, he held a variety of positions in his 34-year career with the Bank, including Director of Research. Mr. Broaddus received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Washington and Lee University in 1961, and Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Economics from Indiana University in 1970 and 1972, respectively. He also earned a graduate degree from the Center for Advanced European Studies at the University of Strasbourg, France, in 1962 while on a Fulbright Fellowship. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He received honorary doctor of laws degrees from Washington and Lee in 1993 and Hampden-Sydney College in 2004. In addition to Faison, Mr. Broaddus is currently a director of Albemarle Corporation, Markel Corporation, Owens and Minor, Inc., and T. Rowe Price Group. He is also a member of the board of visitors of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Active in civic work in Richmond, Mr. Broaddus is a member of the boards of directors or trustees of the E. Angus Powell Endowment for American Enterprise, the Richmond Memorial Health Foundation, Richmond Renaissance, St. Christopher's School, the Tredegar National Civil War Center Foundation, the Virginia Council on Economic Education and the Virginia Historical Society. He is a former chairman of the board of United Way of Greater Richmond.

Mr. Farinholt has had an extensive career in the private and public sectors of finance and investment. He is a founder of Tall Oaks Capital, LP, a seed and early stage investment fund for life science, information technology and healthcare related companies. He served as the Company's interim CEO until Mr. Ignotz was employed. Between 1992 and 2000, he was Special Assistant to the President at Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to joining VCU, Mr. Farinholt had thirty years of experience in investment banking for small and medium-sized businesses as an executive officer at The Chase Bank in New York, in addition to Wheat First Union and Galleher & Company in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Farinholt's public directorships are: PharmaNetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PHAR), a theranostics company; and Owens & Minor, Inc. (NYSE: OMI), the nation's leading distributor of name-brand medical/surgical supplies. He holds a B.S. degree from Hampden-Sydney College.
