Roxanne joined Shell from Oxford University where she was pursuing a doctorate in corporate governance. From 1991 to 1997, she held senior positions with Amoco Oil Corporation, including Vice President Commercial Fuels, Senior Vice President Polymers and at the corporate level, where she led strategy, planning and economics. She worked 10 years in the automotive industry with Navistar, formerly International Harvester Company, where she held positions as Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Distribution with responsibility for the company's dealer network. Early in her career, she practiced law with a major U.S. firm and worked in the advertising and public relations fields. Active in a number of industry and community organisations, Roxanne has served as non-executive director of several companies in both the USA and the UK and currently is a non-executive director of Snap-On Inc. where she chairs the compensation committee. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Committee of 200 and the Women's Leadership Board at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard. She currently serves as a Trustee for the Shell Foundation. She has received the Director Choice Award for outstanding service as a non-executive director and other recognitions from universities and organisations for leadership.

Arthur Kelly has been a managing partner of KEL Enterprises, L.P., a private entity investment partnership, since 1982. Previously he had been with LaSalle Steel Company from 1975-1981, serving on its board and successively holding positions as the company's vice president, executive vice president, president, and C.O.O.
