CanArgo Energy Corporation ("CanArgo") is an international oil and gas exploration and production company operating in the exciting oil and gas provinces of the former Soviet Union. CanArgo is currently focused on Georgia in the Caucasus where it has a large portfolio of attractive exploration, appraisal and development projects in the onshore Kura Basin in the east central part of the country. The company has been applying modern technology, including the use of horizontal drilling, in the rehabilitation of old fields for the production of unswept oil while actively exploring for new deposits of oil and gas in "neglected" parts of this proven hydrocarbon basin. In recent times, it has completed two deep exploration wells with promising results, and is currently preparing to test one of these potential large new oil discoveries. In Georgia, CanArgo has its own drilling rigs and equipment which allow it to operate efficiently and cost effectively in this area. CanArgo's strategy for growth is to grow the company into a major player in the oil and gas industry in the former Soviet Union through exposure to projects with significant upside while maintaining a cost structure and risk profile suited to an independent oil company. CanArgo is listed on the American Stock Exchange (Amex) and the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) under the symbol "CNR".

Jeffrey Wilkins has served as the Company's Chief Financial Officer since August 2006 prior to which he acted as the Company's Financial Controller from April 2001. Before joining CanArgo, he held various European finance positions for Fisher Rosemount, part of Emerson Electric Company between 1995 and 1999 and from 1999 to 2000 he was European Financial Accountant for The Dialog Corporation, a business of the Thompson Corporation. Liz Landles was appointed Corporate Secretary on August 1, 2002, having served as Assistant Corporate Secretary of the Company since December 2000. She also acts as the Company's Administration Manager and is responsible for organising the Company's administrative activities. She has worked for the Company since October 1997, principally in an administrative role and more recently as a Director of some of the Company's subsidiaries. Mr. Perry resident of the United Kingdom was elected an Independent Director and member of the Audit Committee of the Company on April 1, 2008. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Distinguished Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE); he is a Board Member and former Chairman of the London section of the SPE. Mr. Perry began his career as a Petroleum Engineer with Ultramar and a subsidiary of Gulf Oil Company in Venezuela. From 1970 to 1978 he worked for a subsidiary of British Petroleum in Abu Dhabi, ultimately as Chief Petroleum Engineer. During the period 1970 to 1983, he held the position of Manager of Petroleum Engineering at BP Petroleum Development (UK) Ltd which was a period of major expansion for BP in the North Sea. Later he went on to become Manager of Operations at Texas Eastern North Sea Inc. before taking up senior management positions at Mobil North Sea Limited as commercial co-ordinator, joint venture co-ordinator and secretary of the Mobil North Sea management council. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Perry was Chairman of Oilfield Production Consultants (OPC) Limited, a Petroleum and Reservoir Engineering Consultancy. Mr. Perry has a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Bristol University and a Diploma of Imperial College London in Petroleum Reservoir Engineering.
