Ken Higginbotham was appointed Vice-President, Forestry and Environment of Canfor in June 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Higginbotham was Vice President Forestry, Environment and External Relations. Born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho, Ken Higginbotham received both a Bachelor and Masters of Science degree in Forestry from Utah State University and a Doctorate in Plant Ecology from Duke University. While completing his university education, Mr. Higginbotham spent two years working with the U.S. Forest Service and as a Research Assistant at Utah State University. His career in academia began in 1974 at the University of North Carolina as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and subsequently the University of Alberta from 1975 to 1988 as an Associate Professor in the Department of Forest Science.

Mr. Stewart was appointed Vice President, Human Resources of Canfor on June 22nd 2007. During his 30-year career with Canfor, Rob has been involved in designing employee development and performance improvement programs at both the operational and corporate levels. In his role, Rob has also been responsible for the transition and employee integration strategies resulting from merger and acquisition transactions and company reorganization initiatives. In his previous role as General Manager of Learning and Organizational Development, Rob was responsible for Canfor's succession planning and leadership development programs. Mr. Stewart received his Diploma of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.

Eric Newell, 64, is the retired Chancellor of the University of Alberta, a position he held from 2004 to 2008. He is the retired Chair and CEO of Syncrude Canada L td. (Syncrude), positions he held from 1994 and 1989, respectively, until 2004. He served as President of Syncrude from 1989 to 1997. Prior to that, he worked with Imperial Oil Limited and Esso Petroleum Canada Ltd. Mr. Newell holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and a Masters of Science in Management Studies from the University of Birmingham, England. He has received Honorary Doctorates of Law from Athabasca University, University of Alberta, University of British Columbia and University of Lethbridge, and an Honorary Diploma from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). He is an Officer of the Order of Canada and a member of the Alberta Order of Excellence. Eric is the Chair of CAREERS: The Next Generation and Alberta Energy Research Institute, Vice Chair of Lieutenant Governor Arts Award Foundation, and a member of the boards of C.D. Howe Institute, Telus World of Science, The Gairdner Foundation, Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta and The Learning Partnership. As past President of the Alberta Chamber of Resources, he led the creation of the National Oil Sands Task Force in 1995.
Glen Clark, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada was election to the Board of the Company in May 2009. Mr. Clark joined the Jim Pattison Group in 2001 as General Manager of the Pattison Sign Group responsible for British Columbia. In 2002, he was promoted to Vice-President of the Pattison Sign Group for Western Canada. He held this position until January 2004 when he joined the Pattison News Group as President for Canada. In 2005, Mr. Clark was appointed Executive Vice-President of the Jim Pattison Group. In that capacity, he has corporate responsibility for Pattison Sign, Canadian Fishing Company, Jim Pattison Lease and Ripley Entertainment. Mr. Clark is also a member of the Board of Directors of Sun-Rype Products Ltd. Prior to 2001, Mr. Clark served as Premier of British Columbia from February 1996 to August 1999. He was Minister of Finance and Corporate Relations from November 1991 to September 1993 and Minister of Employment and Investment from September 1993 until February 1996. Mr. Clark was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in 1986 to represent the constituency of Vancouver-East. In the 1991 and 1996 general elections, he was re-elected to represent the constituency of Vancouver-Kingsway. Mr. Clark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and a master's degree in community and regional planning from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Clark is a member of the Environmental Health & Safety Committee and the Pension Committee.

Peter J.G. Bentley, O.C., LL.D. has served on Board of Canfor since 1966. Mr. Bentley is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canfor and of Canfor's principal subsidiary, CFP, and Co-chairman and a director of HSPP General Partner Ltd., the general partner of Howe Sound Pulp and Paper Limited Partnership. After working in various positions throughout Canfor, Mr. Bentley became Executive Vice-President in 1970, President in 1975, and Chairman and CEO in 1985, a position he held until April 24, 1995. Mr. Bentley was reappointed to the position of President and CEO of Canfor on July 25, 1997 and relinquished the position of President and CEO of Canfor on January 1, 1998. Mr. Bentley is President and a director of Sierra Mountain Minerals Inc. and a member of the Board of the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, a member of the Advisory Board of BuildDirect.com and a Trustee and Chair Emeritus of the Vancouver General Hospital and University of British Columbia Hospital Foundation. Ross S. Smith, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada was elected to the Board of the Company in May 2009. Mr. Smith had a successful 35 year career at KPMG LLP where he held various roles, including Managing Partner for British Columbia region and served for 13 years on the National Management Committee prior to his retirement in 1998. While in public practice, Mr. Smith served major public and private companies, many of which were in the forest industry, from an audit and securities perspective. Mr. Smith is a member of the Board of Directors of HSBC Bank Canada, Kal Tire Ltd. and Rotherham Holdings Ltd. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Marsh Canada Limited and is Chairman of the Board of Trustees for K-Bro Linen Income Fund. Mr. Smith has served on many charitable and community boards in past years and currently is a member of the Board of Governors of the University of British Columbia. Mr. Smith qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1962 and was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 1990. Mr. Smith chairs both the Audit Committee and the Pension Committee and is a member of the Management Resources and Compensation Committee.
