In September, 2005, Cano completed private placements with several institutional investors totaling approximately $19.5 million. These proceeds were earmarked for working capital, development programs for the companyIs assets, and capital to acquire additional assets that fit CanoIs business model. Also in September, the company announced a Summary of Indicative Terms to acquire a large, undisclosed asset with approximately 6 Mboe of proved reserves for $54 million. In October, Cano received commitments for a $100,000,000 senior credit facility from Union Bank of California, as well as a $15,000,000 subordinated facility from Energy Components SPC and Union BanCal Equities, Inc. At the end of November, Cano completed the acquisition of WO Energy of Pampa, TX, a landmark event that increased CanoIs proved reserves from 5,523 Mboe to 40,020 Mboe and increased production from 420 boepd to 1190 boepd. Since its inception, Cano has acquired a number of mature domestic oil fields, which the Company believes are suitable for secondary waterflood and/or enhanced oil recovery applications. Dr. Jim Underwood, Director. Dr. Underwood was appointed a Director on January 6, 2005. Dr. Underwood is currently a professor at Dallas Baptist University. Randall Boyd, Director. Mr. Boyd was appointed to our Board of Directors on October 25, 2004. Mr. Boyd began his career with IBM in 1979 and served in various capacities, including sales, market forecasting/pricing and industry strategy. He joined Sky Chefs in 1989 and left the company in 2003. Mr. Pully is currently the General Counsel for Carlson Capital, L.P., an asset management firm, Prior to joining Carlson Capital, L.P. in July 2009, Mr. Pully was a consultant, working primarily in the asset management industry. From December 2001 to October 2007, Mr. Pully worked for Newcastle Capital Management, L.P, an investment partnership, where he served as president from January 2003 through October 2007. He also served as chief executive officer of New Century Equity Holdings Corp. from June 2004 through October of 2007.
