Mr. Lowrey, age 56, has served as CapitalSource Bank's Chief Executive Officer and President since its organization in July 2008. He has served as CEO, Chairman, and Chief Financial Officer for a variety of financial service organizations over the past 33 years. In addition to serving on CapitalSource Bank's board, Mr. Lowrey serves as an elected director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco and is a member of the Government Relations Council of the American Bankers Association. Mr. Lowrey previously served as the Vice President of the Thrift Institutions Advisory Council, having been appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank, and also served as an appointed member of the Savings Association Insurance Fund Advisory Committee to the FDIC. He is a former Chairman of the Western League of Savings, was on the executive committee of America's Community Bankers, and a director of the California Bankers Association. Mr. Lowrey was Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Jackson Federal Bank and served as both Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of CENFED Financial Corporation and CenFed Bank. He served as Executive Vice President of Wedbush, Inc., a private investment firm and holding company, Chairman of Wedbush Bank, and a director of Golden State Bancorp. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer at two additional banks and began his career with a national CPA firm.

Mr. Pieczynski comes to CapitalSource from LTC Properties, Inc., which is a long-term care health care REIT where he was President and CFO and a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Pieczynski was responsible for raising the capital and helping the company grow its long-term care real estate portfolio by $650 million. Mr. Pieczynski was also instrumental in the creation and spin-off of a long-term care operating company from the REIT that is now operating approximately thirty skilled nursing facilities. Prior to joining LTC Properties, Mr. Pieczynski was the Director of Development for American Medical International, Inc. (now Tenet Healthcare Corporation) and was responsible for completing acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. Pieczynski earned his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1984 and is a CPA.

As of June 30, 2007, CapitalSource managed an $20.1 billion portfolio of owned and managed assets. Chris has served as chief technology officer of CapitalSource since May 1, 2000. Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Woods worked for HealthCare Financial Partner (HCF)/Heller HealthCare Finance as the chief information officer, and, later, as the chief administrative and information officer. Before that, Mr. Woods was a senior officer and co-founder of a technical consulting company. Chris received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1972.

As the Managing Director and head of the Healthcare Leveraged Finance Group within the Commercial Finance Business, Mr. Browne is responsible for originating and underwriting leveraged senior loans primarily to private equity owned companies in the healthcare sector. He oversees a portfolio of approximately $500 million in commitments to over 25 companies in various sectors within the healthcare industry. Prior to joining CapitalSource in 2003, Mr. Browne served as a Senior Vice President at GE Capital's Healthcare Financial Services group (formerly known as Heller Financial) where he spent eight years in various capacities including both cash flow lending and, to a lesser extent, asset based lending. During his tenure at GE Capital, Mr. Browne was one of the original members of their healthcare-focused, cash flow lending team which financed middle-market, private equity-sponsored transactions. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Browne worked as a Group Vice President within the Special Assets division at Sanwa Business Credit Corporation. The division managed Sanwa's troubled asset portfolio which included both general industry and healthcare transactions. Prior to completing his first tenure at GE Capital between 1989 and 1991, Mr. Browne worked at Lloyds Bank for three years. He began his finance training at Chemical Bank where he completed the bank's credit training program and later joined the bank's Multinational Division which covered the Fortune 500 agriculture and construction equipment manufacturers.

Bryan Bailey is an Associate in the Structured Finance Group at CapitalSource. CapitalSource is a specialized commercial finance company offering asset-based, senior, cash flow and mezzanine financing to small and mid-sized borrowers. Bryan is responsible for conducting market research, financial analysis, due diligence, underwriting, and risk analysis for real estate debt and equity financings. Bryan obtained his MBA from Oxford University. Ms. Barnes is President of the Retail Bank, bringing with her 25 years of financial leadership experience. Most recently, she successfully transitioned the Retail Bank of Fremont Investment & Loan to CapitalSource Bank. Throughout his career, Mr. Bogler has assumed responsibility for various financial, accounting, strategic, M&A and operational activities within the organizations he has served, including start-up organizations and large, well-established firms. He has also acted as a consultant on bank de novo activities, including regulatory guidance and performing initial capital raising activities. Before joining CapitalSource Bank, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Affinity Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries, including Waterfield Bank. Mr. Bass is a Senior Investment Associate within the Healthcare Real Estate Group at CapitalSource. He assists with the origination, structure, underwriting, and closing of potential lending and sale-leaseback opportunities directly and in collaboration with a team of investment professionals. Mr. Bass also assists CapitalSource's portfolio management group in post-closing customer interaction and asset management. Since joining CapitalSource in 2003, Mr. Bass has negotiated and closed over $650 million in transactions, including term loans (predominantly real estate), revolving credit lines, and sale-leasebacks. Prior to joining CapitalSource, Mr. Bass spent five years working on Capital Hill as a legislative assistant for then-Representative John Sununu where he oversaw a number of legislative issues including banking and finance, insurance, housing, telecommunications, and energy, among others. Mr. Bass left the Hill in the summer of 2001 to attend business school.

Prior to joining CapitalSource in 2001, Mr. Tom worked in the Real Estate Fund within The Carlyle Group, a global private equity firm based in Washington, D.C. While at The Carlyle Group, Mr. Tom assisted in managing and exiting a $492 million portfolio of telecommunications infrastructure, commercial, and light industrial real estate investments. Prior to The Carlyle Group, Mr. Tom worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in its Transaction Services group. As an Associate at PwC, he advised both financial and strategic buyers on strategic, financial, operational, and accounting issues related to their acquisitions.
Mr. Chavez joined CapitalSource (NYSE:CSE) in January of 2006 as Director in the Healthcare Real Estate Group. While at CapitalSource, Mr. Chavez closed several "high-profile" transactions including a $450 million financing of the $625 million Tandem Healthcare acquisition in June of 2006 and a $625 million financing for the $2 billion acquisition of Genesis Healthcare in July of 2007. Prior to joining CapitalSource, Alex held various positions at LTC Properties, Inc. (NYSE:LTC) including Director of Finance and Senior Vice President and Treasurer. While at LTC, Mr. Chavez was involved in originating, servicing, and financing nearly $1 billion of long-term care assets in the public debt and equity markets. Prior to joining LTC, Mr. Chavez was employed by Ernst & Young, LLP from 1990 to 1996 where he specialized in the healthcare and real estate sectors and served in various audit capacities including Audit Manager.
