Peter Dikeman, Vice President of CardScan, has overall responsibility for the company's commercial business unit. Peter's diverse background spans over 25 years. During that time, he has held senior management positions in general management, hardware and software product development, as well as OEM sales and marketing. Prior to joining CardScan in 1998, Peter was Senior Vice President of Technology for Touchcom Inc, a provider of multimedia systems to facilitate and control the movement of people through large commercial properties. Flagship installations included Rockefeller Center in New York City, Embarcadero Center in San Francisco and Freidrichstadt Passagen in Berlin, Germany. Earlier in his career, Peter was a founder of two high-technology companies, Digital Techniques, Inc and Lexidata Corporation. Peter was responsible for product development and OEM sales & marketing at Digital Techniques. The company was a pioneer in interactive multimedia, applying its technology to such varied applications as consumer self service terminals, museum exhibits, and air traffic control terminals. The company's major OEM customers included Raytheon and 3M. Prior to Digital Techniques, Peter founded Lexidata Corporation where he developed some of the first high-resolution raster graphic displays used in CAD and medical imaging systems. The widespread success of these products led to an initial public offering. Peter earned a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from Swarthmore College.
