Alex Kim is responsible for guiding the strategic business direction of Carlson Marketing in Korea. Kim brings more than 15 years of marketing, sales, customer relationship management and business development experience and expertise to Carlson Marketing. Most recently, he served as senior manager of strategy and business development for DaimlerChrysler Corporation. In this role, he led the Chrysler Group's international market strategies and business development efforts and facilitated its strategic business development in Russia, India, Venezuela, Korea, Taiwan and countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). In 2002, Kim was selected by Chrysler to be its lead sales and marketing advisor to China Operations in Beijing. While at Ford Motor Company for six years, Kim served in a variety of positions, including CRM manager, marketing and retail strategy manager and brand manager for some of Ford's top brands. During his career, Kim also worked for one of Korea's top retail conglomerates. Kim served four years as an officer in the U.S. Navy in Virginia. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
