Gary Dove, MD, will serve as Chief of Anesthesiology. Board certified in anesthesiology, Dr. Dove received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He is in private practice with Anesthesiology Consultants of Florence, LLC.

J. Kevin O'Kelly, MD, was elected to serve as Chief of Staff. Dr. O'Kelly received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and earned his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in New York. He completed his internship and residency in urology at the University of South Florida and has a private practice, Low Country Urology.

Thomas W. Phillips, MD, will serve as Chief-Elect. A graduate of Davidson College, Dr. Phillips received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Greenville Hospital System. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, he is in private practice, Drs. Coker and Phillips, PA.

William L. Cauthen, Jr., MD, will serve as Director of Emergency Services. Board certified in emergency medicine and family practice, Dr. Cauthen completed his undergraduate degree at Winthrop University and earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina. He completed his internship at the University Hospital of the Chicago School of Medicine and his residency at McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Mark W. Buyck, Jr. is member of the Florence County, South Carolina and American Bar Associations, and is a past president of the S.C. Defense Trial Attorneys Association. He is a permanent member of the U.S. Fouth Circuit Judicial Conference, former United States Attorney for South Carolina, past chairman of USC Law School Association, and Chariman of an S.C. Bar Committee. Buyck is admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in South Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a former member of the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel and a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is past-President of the S.C. Chapter of ABOTA and a current member its National Board of Directors. Buyck is past Chairman of the National College of District Attorneys Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a Regent and Vice-President of the National College of District Attorneys. He graduated from U.S.C. with an A.B. in 1956 and its Law School in 1959. He is on the Board of Trustees of the University of South Carolina, serving as past-Chairman of Academic Affairs and the Buildings and Grounds Committees, currently as Chairman of the Architectural Review Committee. He is a former member of the Board of Visitors of USC, Francis Marion University, and Winthrop College. Mark is a past president of the Greater USC Alumni Association and formerly was a member of the State Board governing South Carolina's Technical College System. Mr. Buyck has been active in civic affairs, serving as president of the Florence Rotary Club, the Florence Country Club, and the Florence Little Theater. He was one of the founders of the Florence Heritage Foundation, the first Chairman of its Board, and current President.
