Ted Powell is an expert consultant and facilitator, with more than a decade of experience with Stop at Nothing's leadership seminars, Cognitive Selling program, Self-Leadership and Empowerment seminars, leadership team development, and individual executive coaching. Although he has been administering these programs for some time, Ted receives "never-ending gratification" from what he does. "It is wonderful watching and being a part of an organization as people truly transform themselves to make positive change," he said.
Hesse had been chairman and CEO since Embarq's inception in 2006. Prior to the formation of Embarq, he served as CEO of Sprint's Local Telecommunications Division for one year before the spin-off that created Embarq. Hesse previously has spent 23 years at AT&T, including serving between 1997 and 2000 as the president and CEO of AT&T Wireless Services, which was then the United States' largest wireless operator. Hesse also has joined Sprint Nextel's board of directors.

Mr. Ianna retired from AT&T in 2003 after a 31-year career serving in various executive positions, most recently as President of Network Services. "Steve Elfman is president of network operations and wholesale at Sprint, with responsibility for technology and product development, Technology Services (the combined network and IT operations), wholesale operations and sprint.com.
Elfman joined the Sprint senior leadership team in May 2008 from mobile data technology services company Motricity (formerly Infospace Mobile), where he was executive vice president of Infospace Mobile, then president and chief operating officer of Motricity. He also has held leadership positions at Terabeam, as executive vice president of operations, and AT&T Wireless, where he was chief information officer.
A proven leader and innovator in wireless technology, Elfman has a wealth of expertise in wireless applications and Internet business models. This experience is especially valuable as Sprint continues to create a more open environment for application developers who want to take advantage of the power of the NOW Network, enabling customers with freedom to text, download a song, surf the Web and access and download the content they want, when they want it.
Elfman graduated from the University of Western Ontario in Canada with a degree in Computer Science and Business.

William R. Nuti. Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of NCR Corporation, a global technology company. Mr. Nuti has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of NCR since August 2005, and as Chairman of NCR since October 2007. Before joining NCR, Mr. Nuti had served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Symbol Technologies, Inc. from 2003 to 2005, and as President and Chief Operating Officer of Symbol Technologies from 2002 to 2003. Mr. Nuti joined Symbol Technologies in 2002 following more than 10 years at Cisco Systems, where he advanced to the dual role of senior vice president of the company's Worldwide Service Provider Operations and senior vice president of U.S. Theater Operations. Mr. Nuti has served as one of our directors since June 2008.
"Paget L. Alves is the President of the Business Markets Group (BMG) for Sprint Nextel. He is responsible for all of Sprint's sales and marketing to enterprise, general business and public sector customers. The Business Markets Group's portfolio of services includes IP, international wireless and wireline and domestic 3G and 4G wireless. As part of his BMG responsibilities, Paget also oversees the development of strategic alliances for Sprint.
Prior to his current position, Alves was the President of Sales & Distribution for Sprint Nextel. Previously, he served as President - South Region for Sprint, with responsibility for managing the P&L, all sales and distribution channels and local marketing programs in an 11-state region.
Alves has more than 20 years of experience with technology companies. In addition to his Sprint career, he has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Internet telephony services provider PointOne Telecommunications, Inc., President & Chief Operating Officer of Centennial Communications and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Murata Business Systems, Inc. He began his career as an attorney with IBM.
His business and professional affiliations include his current role as a member of the Board of Directors of Herman Miller, Inc., a global provider of office furniture.
In November of 2008, Alves was recognized for his leadership and success in business and community endeavors with the CareerFOCUS Eagle Award, presented by the National Eagle Leadership Institute.

Daniel Dooley was most recently named President of Wireline for Sprint Nextel. He is responsible for managing the profit and loss of Sprint's $6+ billion Wireline business, including developing and growing the converged IP solutions. Prior to his current position, Dooley was Vice President - International and Wholesale Markets, with responsibility for overseeing Sprint's global strategy and positioning; guiding their operations throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas; as well as managing all customers and go-to-market activities outside the US.
Prior to that, he was Vice President Strategic Sales Support Care team, responsible for the complete customer life cycle management – customer acquisition through service assurance for Sprint's largest customers (Top 100 Enterprises, Wholesale, International, and System Integrators).
Dooley joined Sprint in August 1996 and has served in a variety of other executive positions in the Global Markets Group, from Executive Director of International Carrier Relations - responsible for the company's 270 bilateral relationships and reducing Sprint's International cost of service, to VP of Sprint International's America/Emerging Markets and Global Voice Group.
Dooley has more than 20 years of experience in Telecommunications and spent more than eight years with AT&T Corporation holding a variety of management positions in finance, marketing and sales, culminating as Managing Director of Europe, Middle East and Africa region located in Brussels, Belgium.

Jim Patterson was appointed President – Wholesale Services in March 2008. Sprint's wholesale team combines Sprint's Cable Solutions, Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and Domestic Wholesale Services organizations. This team provides world class wholesale solutions to the marketplace.
In July 2007, Patterson was appointed interim president of the Cable Joint Venture, established among Sprint and four major cable companies to market wireless services. From January 2005 to March 2008, he served as vice president, Cable Solutions. In this role, he expanded Sprint's presence in the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) arena and created one of the largest Competitive Local Exchange Carriers in the country. Sprint currently manages more than 3.8 million VoIP lines for 14 cable companies, and has grown its VoIP service offerings to a $400 million business in less than four years.
In recognition of his extensive knowledge and contributions to the cable industry, Jim was named as one of the "Top 100 most influential" industry executives by Cable Fax Daily in December 2007.
Jim also has an extensive background in managing carrier relationships. He led the Wholesale, Access and Carrier Markets Group from 2003-2005, managing a business that included ILEC Wholesale services (now Embarq), Long Distance and IP Wholesale, and long-term access arrangements. Patterson has also held various other leadership roles during his 14 year tenure with Sprint.
Prior to joining Sprint, Patterson was a consultant with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he specialized in designing, installing and maintaining operating systems for the financial services industry.
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Davidson College, an MBA from the University of Virginia, and he has studied British literature and economic history at Cambridge University.
Patterson met his wife, Martha, in Virginia while they were at graduate school. They have one child, Jimmy. During free time, Patterson enjoys running, skiing, horticulture and coaching his son's soccer teams.
"Keith Cowan is president, Strategy and Corporate Development and acting president, CDMA Business Unit, with responsibility for strategic growth initiatives, including XOHM mobile broadband and the company's joint venture with cable companies, as well as overall corporate strategic planning. He joined the company in July 2007.
Cowan previously served as executive vice president of Genuine Parts Company, where he was responsible for strategic planning, business and corporate development, information technology systems, and cost containment and process improvement initiatives.
Before that, Cowan was an executive officer at BellSouth from 1996 through 2006. Most recently at BellSouth, he served as chief field operations officer and had responsibility for ensuring that the company's 30,000 person Network Operations organization delivered the highest levels of network reliability and customer service, while simultaneously transitioning the network to deliver and support broadband services.
Cowan earlier served BellSouth as president – Marketing and Product Management; president – Interconnection Services; chief planning and development officer, and vice president - Corporate Development. Prior to joining BellSouth, Cowan was a partner in the Alston & Bird law firm, where he worked for 14 years.
A native of Windsor, Connecticut, Cowan received his undergraduate degree in economics and political science from the University of North Carolina in 1978, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1982.

"Bob Johnson is Chief Service Officer for Sprint Nextel. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer management, including customer experience, customer care, and service and repair. Robert H. Brust was named chief financial officer of Sprint in May, 2008. Brust previously served as chief financial officer and executive vice president of Eastman Kodak Company from January 2000 until February 2007, when he retired from the company. Prior to joining Kodak, Brust was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Unisys Corporation, a global information services and technology company. He joined Unisys in 1997, where he directed the company's financial organization, including treasury, control, tax, information systems, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, procurement, and investor relations. Brust went to Unisys following a 31-year career at General Electric, where he last led the finance operations of that company's plastics business. He joined General Electric in 1965, working in a variety of financial and financial management positions in businesses as diverse as motors, capacitors, steam turbines and generators, and engineering services. He joined the plastics business in 1983, directing the financial operation of that business. Brust is a graduate of Penn State University with a BS degree in accounting. He is a member of the board of directors of Covidien Ltd. and formerly a member of the board of directors of Delphi Corporation and Applied Materials.

"Bill White is senior vice president of corporate communications for Sprint Nextel. In this role, he oversees all corporate communications, including executive and internal communications, external relations, reputation-building efforts, issues management, the internal brand experience, marketing public relations, field communications, corporate inclusion and diversity programs, and corporate social responsibility.
White joined Sprint from Centel Corporation in 1993 as director of financial communications following the merger of the two companies. He later was named vice president of corporate communications for Sprint. In this position, he was responsible for the company's national and international media relations and financial and executive communications. He also has led the company's internal corporate communications, visual communications and industry analyst relations departments. Following the merger of Sprint and Nextel in August 2005, White served as Sprint Nextel's vice president of marketing public relations, until being named to his current position in January 2006.
White joined Centel in 1983 as managing editor of Centel's electronic publishing division, which created online information databases and live programming for cable and broadcast television stations in Chicago. In 1985 he became editor of this operation. From 1986 until joining Sprint in 1993, White was general manager of financial communications and media relations in the company's corporate communications department.
Prior to joining Centel, White was a sports reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times from 1979 to 1982, and was sports editor of the electronic publishing subsidiary of Field Enterprises, the parent company of the Sun-Times, from 1982 until joining Centel in 1983.
White has won several awards for Annual Report writing and concept development, media relations strategies and internal communications programs.

"Sandy Price is senior vice president of human resources for Sprint Nextel, a position she has held since May 2006. She is responsible for all initiatives relating to human resources, such as compensation, benefits, staffing and employee relations, training and development, and talent management, as well as corporate security and flight operations.
Immediately prior to this appointment, Ms. Price served as senior vice president for the human resources, communications and brand management organization of Sprint Nextel's Local Telephone Division (LTD), a position with responsibility for all aspects of the employee experience (including internal communications, human resources, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, real estate, security, and process excellence) as well as external communications and brand management functions such as public and media relations, community relations, and sponsorships. Ms. Price was a member of the senior management team that prepared the LTD for the spin-off of the company that is now known as EMBARQ.
Ms. Price joined Sprint in 1993 as manager of career development and has since served as director of executive development and vice president of human resources development, a position in which she led the Sprint University of Excellence. Under Sandy's leadership in 2003, Sprint placed third on the ""Training Top 100 list,"" a ranking of organizations that excel at human resources development. From 2004 to 2005, Ms. Price led the human resources function for Sprint's local telecommunications division, which led to her role as senior vice president of this organization following Sprint's merger with Nextel in August 2005.
Before coming to Sprint, Ms. Price was a principal in the Blue Valley School District in Overland Park, Kan., and the Jenks Public Schools District in Tulsa, Okla. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in special education and a Master of Arts degree in learning disabilities and school administration. Ms. Price completed doctoral coursework in policy and administration at the University of Kansas.
Ms. Price is a member of the Johnson County Community College Foundation Executive Board, American Cancer Society Kansas City Chairman's Circle, and the Human Resources Advisory Board at University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). Greg Santoro serves as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer for NII Holdings, Inc. where he is responsible for corporate strategy, product marketing and management, and new service development. Santoro coordinates the development of NII’s long term strategic plan and leads key strategic growth initiatives such as mobile data, wireless broadband, and the next generation network program. Santoro was also responsible for Nextel’s e-business services organization, which oversaw the www.nextel.com website, its on-line store and MyNextel customer self-service center.
Prior to joining Nextel in 2000 as Vice President of Internet and Wireless Services, he served as Vice President of Product Development at BellSouth.net. There, he was responsible for the management and development of BellSouth’s portfolio of Internet products, including the company’s consumer Internet service BellSouth.net™, business internet access products, consumer ADSL services, and web hosting services.
Santoro was a founding member of CTIA’s Wireless Internet Council where he has helped foster cross carrier initiatives to improve the access and breadth of wireless services for all mobile customers in the US and abroad.

Mr. Shelnutt brings 22 years of carrier sales leadership to Tropos, most recently serving for eight years as Group Vice President/Sales for Alcatel U.S. At Alcatel, he sold the full range of the company's mobility products to U.S. mobile operators such as Cingular, Verizon, Sprint/Nextel and T-Mobile. Mr. Shelnutt also held the positions of Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development for Alcatel NAFTA and Director of Switching Sales for Alcatel. He secured DSL equipment contracts with the Joint Procurement Consortium (JPC) comprised of Ameritech, BellSouth, Southwestern Bell, and PacBell valued at more than $5 billion for Alcatel. He was key to establishing DSL in the market and served on the Board of the DSL Forum, an industry consortium for the definition and advancement of DSL. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shelnutt sold for Northern Telecom, ITT, MCI and Alta Telecom (a subsidiary of Telus). Mr. Shelnutt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Glasscock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of WellPoint, Inc. from November 2004 (following the merger between Anthem, Inc. and WellPoint Health Networks) until his retirement from day-to-day operations on June 1, 2007.
Mr. Glasscock served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Anthem, Inc. from May 2003 to November 2004 and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Anthem Insurance Companies, Inc. ("Anthem Insurance") from October 1999 until June 1, 2007. Mr. Glasscock joined Anthem Insurance in April 1998 as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was named President and Chief Operating Officer in April 1999 and President and Chief Executive Officer in October 1999. Mr. Glasscock was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Anthem, Inc. in July 2001. Prior to joining Anthem Insurance, Mr. Glasscock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Group Hospitalization & Medical Services, Inc., which did business as Blue Cross and Blue Shield of the National Capital Area, from September 1993 to January 1998. He oversaw its affiliation with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland and served as Chief Operating Officer of the holding company (CareFirst, Inc.) from January through April 1998. From 1991 to 1993, he served as President, Chief Operating Officer and Director of First American Bank, N.A. Prior to that, Mr. Glasscock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Essex Holdings, Inc. and had a 20-year career with Ameritrust Corporation, his last role as Group Executive Vice President responsible for corporate banking activities. Mr. Glasscock earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Cleveland State University. He also completed the Commercial Bank Management Program at Columbia University. Mr. Glasscock is a director of WellPoint, Inc. and Sprint Nextel Corporation.
