Castle Harlan Inc.

David B. Pittaway has been a director of the Company since February 2006 and since October 2002 has been a member of the board of advisors of MHLLC, which was previously our parent company. Mr. Pittaway previously served as a director from December 1988 through July 2002. Mr. Pittaway is currently the Senior Managing Director, Senior Vice President and Secretary of Castle Harlan, Inc. He has been with Castle Harlan, Inc. since 1987. Mr. Pittaway has been Vice President and Secretary of Branford Castle, Inc., an investment company, since October 1986. From 1987 to 1998 he was Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a director of Branford Chain, Inc., a marine wholesale company, where he is now a director and Vice Chairman. Prior thereto, Mr. Pittaway was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Assistant to the President of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. Mr. Pittaway is also a director of The Restaurant Company, Equipment Support Services, Inc., BKH Acquisition Corp., Wilshire Restaurant Group, Inc., McCormick & Schmick s Seafood Restaurants, Inc. and The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America, Inc. and is a director and co-founder of the Armed Forces Reserve Family Assistance Fund. Mr. Pittaway is a graduate of the University of Kansas (B.A. with Highest Distinction), and has both an M.B.A. with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard University.

Sylvia F. Rosen is vice president and controller of Castle Harlan and liaison with the Castle Harlan partnership investors. Ms. Rosen also has administrative responsibilities in connection with the acquisition, funding, oversight, and disposition of portfolio investments, and regularly serves as an officer of entities formed to facilitate those transactions. Previously, Ms. Rosen was corporate accounting manager for Tishman Realty & Construction Co., Inc., a major construction management and real estate development firm, and was senior auditor for Ernst & Young. She is a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Rosen is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Queens College with a B.A. in Accounting, and received her M.B.A. in Taxation from St. John's University. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.

Thomas M. Hickey has served as a director of the issuer, Horizon Lines Holding and H-Lines Finance since April 2005. Mr. Hickey is a Vice President of Castle Harlan. He is also a board member of BKH Acquisition Corp. (the parent of Caribbean Restaurants, LLC) and BTAC Acquisition, LLC (the parent of Baker & Taylor, Inc.). Prior to joining Castle Harlan in 2003, Mr. Hickey was an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Credit Suisse First Boston from 2000 through 2002. Previously, he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Robinson-Humphrey in Atlanta. Mr. Hickey received his bachelor s degree with distinction from the University of Virginia, where he was an Echols Scholar, and holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Marcel Fournier has served as a director of the issuer and Horizon Lines Holding since July 2004, and a director of H-Lines Finance since December 2004. Mr. Fournier is a Senior Managing Director of Castle Harlan. He is also a board member of CHAAS Holdings LLC (the parent of Advanced Accessory Holdings Corporation, which is a parent of CHAAS Acquisitions LLC), APEI Holdings Corporation (the parent of APEI Acquisition Corp., which is the parent of Associated Packaging Enterprises, Inc.) and Gravograph Industrie International. Prior to joining Castle Harlan in 1995, Mr. Fournier held various positions, including Managing Director, at the investment banking group of Lepercq, de Neuflize & Co., Inc. from 1981 to 1995. From 1979 to 1981, Mr. Fournier was Assistant Director of the United States office of the agency of the French Prime Minister. Mr. Fournier graduated as a Civil Engineer from the Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics in Paris, France. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and his Master of Economics from the Universite de la Sorbonne in Paris.

Anand T. Philip is senior associate of Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Mr. Philip was an investment professional at the Blackstone Group, where he focused on private equity transactions across a wide range of industries for Blackstone Capital Partners III and IV, as well as Blackstone Communication Partners I. Previously, he worked at Wasserstein & Co., where he focused on principal investing for U.S. Equity Partners I and II. Mr. Philip began his career in the Merchant Banking Group of Wasserstein Perella. He received a B.A. in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was a Trustee Scholar and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Philip holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Eric M. Schwartz is an associate of Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Mr. Schwartz worked in the Investment Banking division of Citigroup Global Markets, where he advised corporate, financial and public-sector clients across a broad range of industries in mergers, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and privatizations. Mr. Schwartz graduated Cum Laude from Duke University with a double major in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering.

Erica A. Tsai is an associate of Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Ms. Tsai worked in the Restructuring and Reorganization Group of the Blackstone Group where she advised clients across a broad range of industries in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions. She is a board member of AmeriCast Technologies, Inc. Ms. Tsai graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics and International Relations with Distinction.

Irem Metin is an associate of Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Ms. Metin worked as an investment banking analyst at JPMorgan where she focused on the consumer and retail sectors. Ms. Metin graduated Cum Laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Economics.

Nina Prasad is an associate of Castle Harlan. Prior to joining Castle Harlan, Ms. Prasad was a member of the Consumer Group in the Investment Banking division of Citigroup Global Markets, where she advised clients across a variety of transactions including strategic mergers, acquisitions and debt and equity financings. Ms. Prasad graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Economics.
