Mr. Hernreich joined the Company in September 2000 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Since, he joined the Company, he has implemented a plan to dramatically reduce costs and make the Company a low cost operator. Prior to joining Designs, Mr. Hernreich was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pennsylvania Fashions, Inc., a 275 store retail outlet chain operating under the name Rue 21. Additionally, Mr. Hernreich was also Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Loehmann's Inc., one of the largest off-price woman's apparel companies. Dennis is a CPA and a graduate from the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
Jack holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and an MBA degree with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.
He began his career as a Software Consultant in various industries. Jack’s retail career started with Filene’s Department Stores progressing from Project Manager to Director of Merchandising Systems. He subsequently joined J. Baker in 1990 as Manager of Applications & Programming and became Senior Vice President, Director of MIS. In 1995 Jack accepted the position of Vice President, MIS with Auto Palace. He returned to J. Baker in 1997 as Senior Vice President, Director of MIS and was named Chief Information Officer of Casual Male Retail Group in June 2002.
Mark began his career with the Casual Male in 1994 when he joined Fayva Shoes as a District Sales Manager in New Jersey. Between 1995 and 2002, Mark held District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager positions with Parade of Shoes and Work N Gear. In January 1992, Mark was promoted to Zone Vice President. In December 2005, Mark was promoted to the position of Senior Vice President – Director of Store Sales and Operations. Mark has an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Fairfield University.
Prior to joining Casual Male, Peter was the Vice President of Real Estate for Brooks/Eckerd Pharmacy Chain. During his 12 years at Brooks, Peter’s management experience spanned the areas of site selection, property management, lease administration, capital expenditure budgeting, market research and heavy involvement in construction. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.
Ric is our Senior Vice President of Marketing and has been with the Company since January 1992. Mr. Della Bernarda has over 20 years experience in apparel advertising. Prior to joining Casual Male, he was Advertising Director with D&L/Weathervane Stores in New Britain, CT. Mr. Della Bernarda began his career at Casual Male (f/k/a J. Baker) in 1992 as Director of Marketing for Casual Male. He then became Vice President of Apparel Marketing and Director of Marketing for the Work ‘n Gear division before assuming his current role.
Vickie brings over 20 years of merchandise planning and allocation experience to Casual Male. She began her early career as a Buyer and worked her way to senior management ranks. While at Today’s Man, Vickie transitioned from VP, Divisional Merchandise Manager to VP, Merchandise Planning & Allocation. She then moved on to VP, Merchandising, Planning & Allocation at Kidspot. After Kidspot, she joined JCPenney where she held several positions including Vice President, Corporate Planning & Allocation. Most recently, Vickie worked at Urban Brands Incorporated as SVP, Planning, Allocation & Marketing where among her accomplishments, she implemented a new planning and allocation organization and systems and also streamlined the planning function across all merchandise divisions. Vickie graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising.

Walter began his retail career with Anderson - Little Company, a manufacturer/retailer of men’s and women’s tailored clothing, holding various management positions including store manager, district manager and national leasing manager. In 1987, he was promoted to Vice President - Human Resources at Richman Brothers Company, the parent company of Anderson – Little. In 1993 he was promoted to Assistant Vice President – Senior Director Human Resources of Woolworth Corporation, the predecessor company to Foot Locker Inc. where he was employed until 2002 when he joined Marc-Allen Associates, a nationwide executive search firm. Walter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Husson College in Bangor, Maine.

Bob brings over 20 years of distinguished, results-driven legal experience to this new role at Casual Male. Most recently, Bob served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at Staples, Inc. where he provided expert legal advice to all areas of retail operations, marketing, sales, and distribution, as well as managed a team overseeing litigation, labor and employment law, IS/IT, and intellectual property. Prior to his career at Staples, Bob served as a trial attorney for the distinguished law firms of Edwards & Angell, LLP and Cooley, Manion, Moore & Jones, LLP. Bob holds a J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed an accelerated MBA program at Boston University.
Ron has over 25 years of experience in merchandising, planning, global sourcing, production and product development. Most recently, Ron held the position of Executive Vice President with Global Designs, an apparel sourcing consulting company. Prior to that, he held the roles of SVP – Global Sourcing/Supply Chain at Perry Ellis International, Director of Sourcing for Levi Strauss & Co., Director of Global Sourcing at Kmart Corporation, and Global Sourcing Team Leader / International Brand Manager for Wal-Mart Stores. Ron spent 15 years of his early career growing through the Merchandising ranks at Mercantile Stores Company, Inc, culminating in his role of Vice President, Divisional Merchandise Manager. Ron attended the University of West Florida, majoring in Marketing, has earned a certificate in International Business at Walton Institute and has studied towards an MBA at Mercantile Stores University in partnership with the University of Cincinnati.
Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager Living XL - President Footwear since November 2006. Mr. Metscher’s retail career spans more than 25 years at some of America’s most recognizable retail brands such as Talbot’s where he was a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President - Chief Merchandising Officer. Prior to joining Talbots in 1998, Mr. Metscher served as President and CEO of Custom Foot and had also served as President of the Retail Group at Liz Claiborne.

Alan S. Bernikow has served as a member of the Board of Directors and as chairman of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors since 2004. Mr. Bernikow was the deputy chief executive officer at Deloitte & Touche LLP, from 1998 to 2003, where he was responsible for assisting the firm on special projects such as firm mergers and acquisitions, partner affairs, and litigation matters. He joined Touche Ross, the predecessor firm of Deloitte & Touche LLP, in 1977, prior to which he was the national administrative partner in charge for the accounting firm of J.K. Lasser & Company. Mr. Bernikow is currently a member of the board of directors of Revlon, Inc., and Revlon Consumer Products Corporation, and is chairman of the audit committee and compensation and stock plan committee of Revlon, Inc. Mr. Bernikow also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the audit and nominating and corporate governance committees of the Casual Male Retail Group Inc. Mr. Bernikow is also a member of the Board of Directors of UBS Global Asset Management (US) Inc. ("UBS"), and currently serves as chairman of its audit committee. He has also served as a member of the boards of directors of investment funds managed by UBS, including Global High Income Dollar Fund Inc., Insured Municipal Income Fund Inc., Investment Grade Municipal Income Fund Inc., Managed High Yield Plus Fund Inc., and Strategic Global Income Fund, Inc. These companies are the only public companies for which Mr. Bernikow serves on the board of directors or any committee of the board of directors. Mr. Bernikow is also a member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the audit committee of the FOJP Service Corporation; a member of the Board of Directors of the United Jewish Appeal-Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, Inc.; the former treasurer, a past member of the Board of Directors and former chairman of the audit committee of the Jewish Communal Fund; a member of the Board of Directors of Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers, where he also serves as a member of the governance and executive committees and as chairman of the audit committee; past chairman and current member of the Board of Directors of the Heart Institute of Staten Island. Mr. Bernikow is also a past president of the Richmond County Country Club. Mr. Porter was appointed a director of the Company on October 28, 1999. Mr. Porter was President of Levi’s USA for Levi Strauss & Co. from 1994 to 1997. Beginning in 1974, Mr. Porter held various positions at Levi Strauss & Co., including President of Levi’s Men’s Jeans Division. Mr. Porter was also Corporate Vice President, General Manager, Nike USA from 1997 to 1998.

Mr. Mooney joined the Company's Board of Directors on July 31, 2006. Since 2005, Mr. Mooney has been the Executive Managing Director of Crystal Capital Fund. Prior to that, Mr. Mooney was the President of Bank of America Retail Finance Group and Chief Operating Officer of Back Bay Capital, both of which were formerly Bank of Boston businesses which Mr. Mooney founded. Mr. Mooney currently serves on the executive committee of the Turnaround Management Association and serves on the board of advisors of the business school at Elon University, as well as the American Repertory Theatre.
