Mr. Carlson is a Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc., in the Dublin, Ohio office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Oregon in Eugene and also attended Valparaiso University. He has worked in the insurance industry since 1979. Mr. Carlson is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is currently the President of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Previously, he has served the CAS in various other capacities including as a member of the Board of Directors, Vice President of Professional Education, member of the Executive Council, Chairman of the Ratemaking Research Committee, Chairman of the Ratemaking Seminar Committee and faculty member of the Ratemaking Seminar, Casualty Loss Reserve Seminar and Predictive Modeling Seminar. Mr. Carlson is a frequent speaker at industry meetings on topics related to personal lines pricing and actuarial standards of practice. Mr. Carlson was a member of the Casualty Committee of the Actuarial Standards Board from 1997 through 2006 and served as the Committee Chair in 2005 and 2006. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Actuaries. Prior to joining Pinnacle in 2005, Mr. Carlson was employed for over twenty-five years with the Nationwide Insurance Companies. His varied assignments included personal lines ratemaking in automobile and homeowners, rate filings and regulatory compliance, reserving in the personal and commercial lines as well as assumed reinsurance. He provided actuarial assistance to a subsidiary third party claims administrator. His involvement with assumed reinsurance included analysis of asbestos and environmental liability both in the U.S. and London Markets and analysis of various potential commutation opportunities. He was involved in due diligence teams in the review of potential acquisition candidates.

Ben joined AutoOne in October of 2001 as the company was being created. Ben is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has over 17 years of property-casualty insurance experience, specializing in personal lines and specifically in the New York assigned risk auto market. Prior to joining AutoOne, Ben was a consulting actuary with Milliman USA in New York, where he was the designated personal auto expert for the New York office. Prior to Milliman, Ben spent nearly three years as the supervising actuary for the Robert Plan Corporation, a leading servicing carrier for assigned risk business throughout the country. Ben began his career at the CIGNA Companies in Philadelphia where he held positions in the homeowners, commercial lines, and domestic special risk reserving units. Ben graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics in 1989 and earned the designation of CAS Fellow in 1999.

Brett Horoff is a Consulting Actuary and Principal with Perr&Knight. He is responsible for the general management of Perr&Knight's Actuarial Practice Area. Brett has provided property-casualty actuarial services to insurance and reinsurance companies, captive insurers and self-insurers since 1992. He has extensive ratemaking and reserving experience on a wide range of personal and commercial lines insurance products. In addition, he has also provided reserve, funding, cost allocation, equity allocation, retention level and captive feasibility studies to many captive insurance companies and self-insured public and private entities. Brett Horoff graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics in 1991. Dale F. Ogden is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society ( CAS ) and serves on the CAS Committee on Reserves and as the Vice-Chair of the CAS Task Force on Reserving Principles, which currently is rewriting the Statement of Principles Regarding Loss and Loss Adjustment Expense Reserves. He also serves on several CAS working groups and previously served as a member of the Committee on Financial Reinsurance. He is also an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and currently serves on the Academy s Committee on Property Liability Financial Reporting. He is a faculty member of an Academy Task Force that designed and teaches the Reserve Opinion Writers Seminar, a Boot Camp for Actuaries who issue NAIC Statements of Actuarial Opinion regarding Loss and Loss Adjustment Expense Reserves. Previously, he has served on the Academy s Committee on Property and Liability Issues and was a principal author of the Academy s Statement of Position regarding proposed regulations implementing California s Proposition 103 in the early 1990 s. He is a member of the United States Section of the International Actuarial Association ( IAA ), and of ASTIN, the IAA s section for actuarial studies in non-life insurance and risk theory, and of AFIR, the IAA s section for the actuarial approach for financial risks.

Mr. Shepherd's consulting experience consists of rate and reserve work for state insurance departments, reinsurers, insurers, law firms, agencies and self-insured entities and groups. The lines of business handled include auto, general liability, medical malpractice, reinsurance, workers compensation, property (including homeowners) and various other smaller lines of business. He has testified in various forums in support of his rate and reserve actuarial work. Mr. Shepherd has assisted on over 100 financial examinations of P/C and HMO insurers for state insurance departments. These examinations have covered all sizes of insurance and reinsurance companies and self-insured groups, and have covered most every line of business. He also has extensive experience reviewing rate filing for state insurance departments and other interested parties. Mr. Shepherd most recently held the position of Executive Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer and Chief Actuary for a reinsurance Managing General Underwriter specializing in Workers Compensation and Accident & Health coverages. His responsibilities included overseeing profitability, being the referral underwriter, setting underwriting standards, reserving, ratemaking, facilitating start-up of their Bermuda reinsurance company, setting up internal systems, and procuring outside capital and retrocessional support. Mr. Shepherd worked previously in the corporate actuarial department of a direct reinsurance company. His involvement was with the treaty, facultative, and alternative risk units and he was responsible for the reserving of the alternative risk, facultative and environmental/asbestos units. Prior to working in the actuarial department, he was a casualty facultative underwriter in New York City for five years. In this position, he marketed and underwrote casualty facultative business ranging from Fortune 500 accounts to small minimum premium umbrella policies. Lines of business included workers compensation, general liability and auto liability. Mr. Shepherd is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He graduated cum laude and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/Business and Mathematics from Macalester College.

Ms. Diane Duda is the Senior Vice President and Chief Actuarial Officer for United States Liability Insurance Group. She brings more than twenty-five years of commercial and personal lines actuarial experience to her role. Before she joined United States Liability Insurance Group in 2002, Ms. Duda was the Vice President and Senior Actuary of Specialty Lines for ACE USA, the U.S. based division of the ACE Group of Companies. Prior to ACE, Ms. Duda was employed with CIGNA Property and Casualty Insurance Companies for nine years where, in her most recent role, she served as Vice President and Division Financial Officer for Specialty Insurance Services. Ms. Duda began her career with Prudential Property and Casualty in 1980. Ms. Duda is a graduate of Lehigh University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Ms. Duda enjoys bicycling, choral singing and sewing.
Doug Rivenburgh is responsible for developing and managing AIG United Guaranty's international activities worldwide, including executive management of Ezer Mortgage Insurance in Israel as well as international development and operations for the Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Now based in New York, Rivenburgh worked in Hong Kong from 1998-2003 and was instrumental in developing AIG United Guaranty's business relationship with the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation. He has been in the insurance industry since 1989, including seven years with a large property and casualty company where he gained experience in various aspects of the general insurance business. Rivenburgh has a B.A. degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, and he is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Everett G. Bishop, a member of the independent casualty actuarial consulting firm of Liscord, Ward & Roy, Inc. since 1985, has thirty years of casualty actuarial experience. He has been a consulting actuary since 1981. Mr. Bishop is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society [1979] and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries [1979]. A 1973 graduate of Northeastern University [high honors in Mathematics], he served with the actuarial department of the American Mutual Insurance Companies, a major writer of Workers' Compensation and other commercial lines, for seven years, rising to Assistant Vice President and Actuary of the Companies, with responsibility for the pricing of all lines of insurance. "Frederick F. Cripe is executive vice president, Allstate Financial and a member of the Allstate Senior Management Team. In this role, Cripe oversees the three critical areas of product development, customer service and information technology within Allstate Financial. Before taking on this role, Cripe was senior vice president of Product Operations, responsible for Allstate's pricing, product management, underwriting and research and development.
Cripe joined Allstate in 1979 as a senior analyst in property pricing, progressing through a number of actuarial assignments in home office before joining the underwriting department in 1987. He returned to auto pricing in 1988 to lead the research division and in 1990 was promoted to assistant vice president of Auto Pricing Research. His other leadership assignments included: assistant vice president in Marketing, assistant vice president Urban and Ethnic Markets and general manager of Specialty Lines. He was promoted to vice president, Policy and Pricing in 2000 and in 2003 to vice president, Product Operations where he led the management of the pricing, policy and forms, risk management, compliance, shared markets, R&D and technology/data areas for Allstate's personal lines business.
Cripe is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has served as Chairman of the CAS Committee on Risk Classification and the CAS Committee on Research Policy and Management, and as a member of the Actuarial Standards Board Casualty Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Highway Loss Data Institute.

John Soutar, a Miami native, graduated high school as a National Merit Finalist, then attended the University of Notre Dame as a Notre Dame Scholar. He attained entrance into the Sigma Gamma Tau National Aerospace Honor Society. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 1989, he won a full scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated with an MSAE with a concentration in Computational Fluid Dynamics. A recession and a severe downturn in the aerospace industry forced him to switch careers and he began work in the insurance industry as a computer consultant in 1991. John spent two years at an insurance company in Hollywood, Florida as their computer systems manager. While there, he developed a professional liability insurance company management system and oversaw all computer hardware and software. In 1993, he joined MacNeill as an analytical assistant to Douglas Bullington. He has completed scores of projects involving actuarial analysis, competitive surveys, financial and business process modeling, software development, insurance accounting, and data analysis. He was a member of the company's Reengineering Committee and has worked closely with Doug on the statistical and informational aspects of several insurance company startups. John is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He currently heads the Analytical Services division of MacNeill Group, Inc. He and his wife Sandra, a high school social studies teacher, live on Hollywood Beach. His interests include competing in triathlons and road races, boardsailing, all things aeronautical, literature, and history.

Lora L. Dougherty is a Consulting Actuary with Perr&Knight. She has experience in personal and commercial lines, providing various consulting services including ratemaking, rate filing support, and loss reserving/projections. Lora has been working in the property-casualty insurance industry since 1993. Marc Grandisson is the Chairman and CEO of Arch Worldwide Reinsurance Group. Joined Arch Reinsurance in October 2001 as part of the new underwriting initiative of Arch Capital. Marc began his career in 1990 as an actuarial assistant with Tillinghast/Towers Perrin, first in Bermuda, subsequently transferring two years later to their Atlanta, GA office. In July 1994, he took up the position of Vice President at F&G Re, Inc. where he was responsible for non-traditional underwriting. He joined the Berkshire Hathaway Group in March 1999 where he served as a Vice President & Actuary until joining Arch Re in October 2001. Marc held the position of Chief Underwriting Officer and Actuary at Arch Re until his promotion to President and Chief Operating Officer in April 2004. Effective March 2005, and in keeping with the corporate structure at Arch, Mr. Grandisson's title changed to President & CEO. Marc was promoted to his current position in November 2005. Mr. Grandisson holds a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from the University Laval in Canada and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Since 1993, he has been a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and in 1995 became a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
Mark Brannon is a principal in the Atlanta-based consulting firm of Merlinos & Associates, Inc. (M&A). Mike Harrington provides actuarial and risk management consulting services to public entity pools and self-insured organizations. Mike brings many years of experience in the actuarial field, including ratemaking, reserving, financial modeling, and catastrophe management. Prior to joining BRS in 2003, Mike served as an actuary for a nation-wide insurance company. He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and he serves on the Examination Committee of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
As Vice President, Actuarial and Risk Solutions for NEW, Mr. Zarember is responsible for the maximization of the profitability of insurance arrangements and for the strategic analysis, positioning and pricing of major programs. Mr. Zarember has been working in the areas of pricing, modeling and underwriting since 1990. He has a strong background in warranty pricing, rating and modeling. Before joining NEW, he worked for American International Group as Pricing Manager for their warranty division (AIG Warranty). Prior to AIG, Mr. Zarember held marketing and actuarial positions at Insurance Services Office. Mr. Zarember is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and has the distinction of being the only Fellow directly employed in the extended service plan industry. In addition, he is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a graduate of Cornell University, where he received a bachelor's degree in industrial and labor relations.
Michelle Freitag is a Consulting Actuary in the Boca Raton, Florida Office. Since 1990 Michelle has worked in the property-casualty insurance industry. Michelle works on a wide variety of projects across all states and most lines of business. Typical projects include reserve analyses, rate development, loss projections, rate and form filings, and competitor analyses. Michelle has significant experience with the NCCI actuarial products as well as NCCI data reporting requirements and tools. Prior to Perr&Knight, Michelle was employed by the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc. ("NCCI"). While at NCCI, Michelle held various actuarial positions including the State Actuary for several state loss cost/rate filings, the Reserving Actuary for the four Assigned Risk Pools that NCCI manages, as well as product development and the actuarial liaison to the Data Reporting Team. Her past employment also included United States Fidelity & Guaranty ("USF&G"). Michelle has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Economics from Bethany College in May, 1990. Michelle is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Michael H. Gersie is executive vice president and chief financial officer of the Principal Financial Group. Gersie oversees accounting and controllership for the company, as well as treasury and cash management, corporate finance, actuarial, corporate tax, internal audit, capital market access, merger and acquisition activity, information technology and corporate services. Gersie joined the company in 1970 as an actuarial student. He was promoted to actuarial associate in 1974, was elected an officer and named assistant actuary in 1975, associate actuary in 1979 and actuary in 1984. He was then named second vice president and actuary in 1986, vice president in 1990, senior vice president and chief information officer in 1994, senior vice president and chief financial officer in 1996, and executive vice president and chief financial officer in 2000. Gersie is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and Enrolled Actuary. "Paul Livingstone is Managing Director and is responsible for Assured Guaranty Corp.'s Structured Credit and CDO group. Paul Stahlschmidt joined Perr&Knight in September 2006 as a Consulting Actuary, and has worked the property-casualty insurance industry in the areas of pricing and reserving since 2000. Prior to joining Perr&Knight, Paul worked for RLI Insurance as an Associate Actuary in Actuarial Services, where he was responsible for developing rate level indications, conducting reserving and accident year profitability analyses, and completing Schedule P for the Annual Statement. Philip L. Engel is the former president of Chicago based CNA, one of the leading insurance groups in the United States. He held this position from October 1992 through September 1999. In this position, he was responsible for development, coordination and oversight of CNA's business strategy as well as the day to day operations of the company's corporate claims, internal consulting, human resources, information technology, law and marketing departments. From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Engel served as executive vice president for CNA with responsibilities for claims, marketing, services, systems and underwriting. He headed CNA's marketing department from 1978 to 1990. He was appointed vice president in 1976 and assumed responsibility for pricing and product management. He was named assistant vice president in 1972 and headed corporate planning. He began his career with CNA in 1961. At various times while at CNA, Mr. Engel was a director of Agency Management Services, Inc., a CNA majority owned automation company servicing independent insurance agents and property-casualty insurance companies. He was also a director of InsWeb, an Internet based insurance services provider partially owned by CNA; a director of the Alliance for Productive Technology, Inc. (APT), an industry owned automation company providing interface products to agents and insurance companies; a director of the Quality Insurance Congress; a director of the MATHCOUNTS Foundation, a junior high school mathematics contest founded by CNA; and a director of the Insurance Services Office. A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Mr. Engel is one of the few individuals in the country to hold this "Double Fellow" distinction. He is also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries; a member of the board of directors of City of Hope of Duarte, California; chairman of the board of directors of the Midwest Insurance Industry Council supporting City of Hope; a member of and past chairman of the board of the Chicago Shakespeare Theater; a member of the Visiting Committee to the Division of Physical Sciences at the University of Chicago; and a member of and vice chairman of the board of trustees of the Jane Addams Hull House Association in Chicago. He is a former member of and chairman of the board of Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. Mr. Engel holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago, where he also earned his bachelor's degree.

Richard Goldfarb is a Senior Manager in the Insurance Advisory Practice of Ernst & Young. Richard works primarily with Property/Casualty and Life insurance companies on issues related to financial risk management, capital management and risk-adjusted performance measurement. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Richard's experience included marketing structured finance transactions to insurance companies and corporate clients, brokering structured insurance solutions for corporate clients and underwriting finite risk reinsurance transactions for insurance and reinsurance companies. Richard is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and received his MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the CAS Valuation, Finance and Investment Committee, the CAS Enterprise Risk Management Committee, the SOA Task Force on ERM Credentials and a consultant to the CAS Exam 8 Syllabus Committee. Prior to joining the Benfield Group in January 2002, Mr. Goldberg spent his entire career at USAA in San Antonio. In his most recent three years he served as Senior Vice President of P&C Underwriting and Pricing. His responsibilities included management of USAA's actuarial and underwriting staff as well as the company's catastrophe financial management. For nine year prior to his position as head of Underwriting and Pricing he was Senior Vice President Chief Actuary. Mr. Goldberg led USAA's pioneering efforts to acquire reinsurance capacity through direct access to the capital markets. This catastrophe bond securitization, known as Residential Reinsurance, has been placed annually since 1997. The Residential Reinsurance transaction was published as a case study at the Harvard Business School, where Mr. Goldberg participated as a guest lecturer to help present the case. Mr. Goldberg graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and holds an M.B.A. from Temple University. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter. He received the CPCU National Standard Setter Award in August 2001. Mr. Goldberg served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Casualty Actuarial Society, the Wharton School Managing Catastrophe Risks Project and the Highway Loss Data Institute. He continues to reside in San Antonio while traveling extensively to support a wide array of Benfield Group clients.
Steve Lesser is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Mr. Lesser served as chief actuary for AIG Private Client Group, a profit center specializing in insurance products and risk management services for high net worth individuals. Prior to that, Mr. Lesser directed actuarial services for CIGNA Property and Casualty's recreational marine unit, where he made pricing and reserving recommendations for boat, yacht and marina products. Mr. Lesser also has provided actuarial support for other products including workers' compensation. Mr. Lesser has over 12 years of experience in the actuarial field.
Prior to joining Response, Mr. Oakley was with The Hartford Financial Services Group for ten years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Penn State University and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Irene K. Bass is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Bowling Green University and a Master of Science degree from Northeastern University, both in mathematics. Immediately prior to the formation of Bass & Khury in 1995, Ms. Bass was a managing director at William M. Mercer, Incorporated. While at Mercer, she participated in consulting assignments covering virtually all lines of insurance. She has also served as an expert witness in a number of areas including reserving, ratemaking, reinsurance, and classification systems. Prior to joining Mercer, Ms. Bass was employed at Crum & Forster Personal Lines and rose to senior vice president and actuary. Dr. Pat Brockett is the Director of the Risk Management and Insurance Program and the Gus S. Wortham Memorial Chairholder in Risk Management and Insurance in the College and Graduate School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin where he teaches full time in risk management and insurance. He holds joint appointments as a Full Time Professor in the departments of Finance, Mathematics, and Management Science and Information Systems. He is currently President of The American Risk and Insurance Association. In addition he is the Janey Slaughter Briscoe Research Fellow at the IC2 Institute and a Faculty Research Scientist at the Applied Research Laboratories at The University of Texas at Austin, and is the former Director of the Actuarial Science Program and former Director of the Center for Cybernetic Studies in the Graduate School of Business. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Chartered Statistician by the Royal Statistical Society. He is also a member of the Western Risk and Insurance Association, the International Actuarial Association (ASTIN section), and the Casualty Actuarial Society (Academic Corresponding Member). Besides refereeing for numerous academic journals, he has published two books and over 100 journal articles. He is the Editor of the Journal of Risk and Insurance, and an Associate Editor of the journals Insurance: Mathematics and Economics. A Board Member of the North American Actuarial Journal, his articles in risk management and insurance have won several awards from the American Risk and Insurance Association (for Best Feature Article and for Best Communication Article) and from the American Statistical Association (for the Most Outstanding Statistical Application paper published in any field, in any journal, in any language, anywhere in the world), the Society of Actuaries (The Halmstad Prize for the most outstanding English language publication in actuarial science in the world), and from the International Insurance Society (best paper award) from the Casualty Actuarial Society ( for best paper on Casualty actuarial topics publish in an ARIA journal) and from the Faculty of Actuaries of Scotland and the Institute of Actuaries in England ( Brian Heys International Competition, 2nd Prize) . He has won The University of Texas university wide Outstanding Graduate Teacher Award as well as three different research awards from the Graduate School of Business. His research interests include formal and theoretical works on risk management topics as well as non-theoretical institutional or qualitative investigations into insurance contracts, ethics, and economics. He has also served as an expert consultant to regulatory bodies, law firms, and businesses. Patrick L. Brockett received his Bachelor of Arts degree. in Mathematics from California State University, Long Beach, and his M.A. and Ph.D.,both in Mathematics, from the University of California, Irvine.

She was also appointed by Texas Governor Ann Richards to the Texas Select Committee on Rate and Policy Form Regulation serving from 1993-1994.

Brett began his career with the Actuarial Department of Continental Insurance Company. In 1996 he joined Ernst & Young LLP's Actuarial Services Group and in 2003 he joined AgeeFisherBarrett, LLP. Brett has more than 25 years experience in insurance company and corporate insurance operations, with expertise in financial forecasting and reporting, client risk assessment and management, and mergers and acquisitions due diligence. Brett's consulting and company background and experience include insurer and reinsurer, reserving and pricing analyses for commercial and personal lines insurance line, insurance risk management, self-insurance reserving and funding studies, cash flow and financial analyses, insurance company valuations, litigation support, expert witness testimony, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, planning and forecasting, development of new insurance products, premium auditing, management information systems development and design, and computer programming. Regulatory consulting assignments for various state and provincial departments have included insurance and reinsurance company demutualization valuations, loss reserve evaluations for financial examinations and for liquidation bureaus, and reviews of insurance company filings to the regulatory departments. Brett is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. Corey J. Bilot is a consulting actuary at Perr & Knight. Mr. Veilleux has joined the company as Senior Director of Predictive Analytics. Mr. Veilleux's appointment continues Valen's senior management team expansion. In his new position, Mr. Veilleux will report to Dan Bankson and he will lead the company's predictive modeling efforts. With 17 years of property and casualty industry experience, Veilleux spent 12 years in actuarial roles and is a recognized expert in Predictive Modeling, specifically in the development and deployment of predictive models for the insurance industry. Prior to joining Valen, Veilleux was most recently a Senior Consultant with Watson Wyatt, a leading global consulting firm. While with Watson Wyatt, Veilleux was heavily involved in predictive modeling initiatives related to insurance rating, underwriting, and portfolio management. Earlier in his career, Veilleux spent six years with Safeco Insurance as well as five years with other insurers. Ms. Doster is a Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc., in the Geneva, Illinois office. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She has nine years of actuarial experience in the property/casualty insurance industry. Ms. Doster is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Mr. Boison is a Principal and Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. in its New York office. He is a graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. Mr. Boison has over 35 years of experience in insurance pricing for property/casualty insurance. Mr. Boison is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). He is also a member of the International Actuarial Association (IAA). He is the past Vice President-International of the Executive Council of the CAS. He is also the past Chair of the Actuarial Standards Board Casualty Committee, the Casualty Actuarial Society Ratemaking Committee and the Board of Directors of the Actuarial Education and Research Fund. He was most recently Senior Vice President at Insurance Services Office, Inc., in charge of the international area. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President, Insurance Services where he was in charge of ratemaking activities, insurance manual development, and policy forms (policy contracts) development for all ISO lines of insurance. Mr. Boison had worked at ISO (and its predecessor organization, Insurance Rating Board), since June, 1970, holding progressively more responsible management positions in various ISO divisions, dealing with personal lines and commercial lines pricing, actuarial research, and financial analysis of the U. S. insurance market. Mr. Boison has co-authored a paper entitled ?New Jersey Automobile No Fault Study: Analysis of the Cost Effects of AB 3531 and SB 2533? which was published in the NAIC?s Journal of Insurance Regulation. He has also given numerous speeches and panel presentations in professional and public forums.

Mike and his wife MaryAnne moved to the Landings in 1998. A graduate of Fordham College, Mike has a MS degree in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. He is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a past president of the CAS, the international body of accreditation specializing in property/ casualty actuarial expertise. He has published numerous papers on hurricane risk and other homeowners and auto insurance topics which were required reading on the CAS syllabus of examinations. He retired as a senior partner in Tillinghast-Towers Perrin, the world's largest independent risk management and actuarial consulting firm. Previously he had served as Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary of Insurance Services Office (ISO), a national property and casualty insurance rating organization. For almost 20 years he was Editor-in-Chief of Emphasis magazine (Tillinghast's worldwide insurance and risk management journal). He is a Landings Club member, having served on its Insurance Committee, and captained numerous Landings Club tennis teams. He also was a member of the Bankers Club in New York, as well as having been platform tennis chairman at Canoe Brook CC in New Jersey. He is currently Editor of the Skidaway Island Republican Club newsletter.

Ron has been active in the P&C insurance industry since 1977. Working for insurance industry associations, insurance companies and consulting firms, Ron has a broad base of experience in all aspects of P&C insurance. He has extensive experience in Automobile Insurance, where he has authored and co-authored numerous reports for the Insurance Bureau of Canada in Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland, and for other clients in British Columbia and Manitoba. He has extensive experience in risk analysis, statistical analysis, and the development of alternative funding mechanisms, including the establishment and ongoing management of reciprocal insurance exchanges. He is the Appointed Actuary for several insurers.

Mr. Mosley is a Principal and Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. in the Bloomington, Illinois, office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He has worked in the insurance industry since 1993. Mr. Mosley is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He currently serves the CAS as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Long Range Planning Committee. Mr. Mosley has served the CAS in the past as a member of the Committee on Professionalism Education, a member of the CAS Examination Committee, and a member of the CAS Ratemaking Seminar Committee. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Black Actuaries Foundation. Before joining Pinnacle, Mr. Mosley was employed as a pricing actuary for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, and by Vesta Insurance Group, where he was the personal lines manager responsible for homeowner and private passenger automobile ratemaking and products. Mr. Mosley has extensive experience in the application of advanced statistical modeling techniques to insurance process. His experience in predictive modeling applications include rating and underwriting plan design; homeowners by-peril analysis; claims modeling; developing custom credit based insurance scores; developing enhanced vehicle classification development; territory boundary development; policyholder retention analysis; and new business conversion analysis. Mrs. Ross is a Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resource, Inc., in the Plymouth, Michigan office. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Michigan. She has worked in the property/casualty insurance industry since 1992. Mrs. Ross is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Mrs. Ross was employed by the Auto Club Insurance Association (AAA) and Allstate Insurance Company. At AAA, she was a Product Manager responsible for the results and business activities in her states. These responsibilities included the coordination of pricing, product development, underwriting, marketing, claims and sales activities. This involved the design and analysis of product features, pricing structure, underwriting guidelines and marketing campaigns and materials. It also included planning, forecasting and monitoring of performance results. She was also a pricing actuary overseeing personal lines of insurance. She managed the pricing teams and oversaw pricing and competitive analyses. She has experience in loss reserve analysis and creation of annual reserve opinions. At Allstate, she was a personal lines pricing actuary for many states, where her work included statewide rate level indications, competitive analysis, and rate filings. At both companies, she played significant roles in regulatory compliance and oversight of related projects.

Charbonneau has served as Vice President and our Chief Actuary since January 2005. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining SUA, Charbonneau served as Vice President and Chief Reserving Officer for Kemper Insurance Companies. Charbonneau has also held various positions with Interstate Insurance Company, most recently as Vice President and Chief Actuary. Charbonneau is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
M. Sean McPadden has been our Executive Vice President since April 2002 and President of our insurance companies since January 2004. Mr. McPadden also served as one of our directors from 2002 until March 9, 2004. Mr. McPadden has 17 years of insurance operations experience. Prior to joining us, Mr. McPadden served as Chief Actuary and Senior Vice President of Product Management of Bristol West Insurance Group, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, where his responsibilities included pricing, reserving and financial reporting as well as product design, positioning and profitability of a non-standard personal automobile insurance operation with business throughout 15 states. Prior to joining Bristol West, Mr. McPadden held several actuarial posts with Travelers Insurance Company from 1987 to 1999, culminating in his being named Vice President of Non-Standard Auto, where from 1997 to 1999 he was responsible for actuarial, product development and product support for the non-standard personal automobile insurance operations of Travelers. Mr. McPadden is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a designation he achieved in 1994.
Ms. Ackerman is a Principal and Consultant with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc., in San Francisco, California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics with highest honors from Oregon State University. She has over 15 years experience in the property/casualty insurance industry. Ms. Ackerman is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She currently serves the CAS as a member of the Journal Editorial Board. She is the co-chair for the American Academy of Actuaries Extreme Events Committee. Prior to joining Pinnacle Actuarial Resources in 1998, Ms. Ackerman was employed by the California Department of Insurance. At the Department, she was responsible for evaluating ratemaking formulas and procedures for most property and casualty lines of insurance; providing expert witness testimony and other litigation support related to Proposition 103 matters; and analyzing loss and loss adjustment expense reserves for workers? compensation carriers.

Ms. Bensimon is currently a Vice President of Gen Re Capital Consultants and works with insurance companies on capital and risk management strategies. Prior to joining GRCC in 2002, she was a treaty account executive at Gen Re. Beginning in 1982, Ms. Bensimon's roles at Gen Re have included reserving actuary, manager of actuarial pricing, and treaty underwriter. From 1992 to 1995 she served as chief actuary at Commercial Risk Re-Insurance Company. Ms. Bensimon is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and is well-known in the actuarial community as a speaker, author, and through leadership positions within the Casualty Actuarial Society. One of her recent projects was to lead the GRCC engagement to develop the CAS DFA Program, the capstone course to achieve CAS Fellowship. Terry S. Jacobs has served on our board of directors since April 2002. Mr. Jacobs has served as President and CEO of JFP Group, LLC, a real estate management and development company since September 2005. From its founding in September 1996 until September 2005, Mr. Jacobs served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Regent Communications, Inc. (II). Regent Communications owns and operates 75 radio stations in 15 markets. Mr. Jacobs currently serves as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of Regent Communications, Inc. and as Mr. Jacobs is a member of the board of directors of American Financial Group, Inc. and Global Entertainment Corp., both of which are public companies. He holds a BBA and Masters of Actuarial Science from Georgia State University.
Tom started the actuarial practice at Alan Gray in 2001. With over 25 years of experience, he has a broad background in the actuarial consulting field. Since coming to Alan Gray, he has led a wide range of projects from reinsurance pricing to taking over the entire actuarial function for a primary company in runoff. A substantial portion of his work has involved asbestos liabilities, and he is recognized as one of the most experienced actuaries in the field. Tom is a graduate of Yale University (BS, cum laude) and a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society. Prior to Alan Gray, he worked as a financial reinsurance underwriter for Enterprise Reinsurance, and before that as a consulting actuary for Milliman & Robertson and KPMG.

Yoong Sin Lee has taught at the University of Malaya, the University of Toronto, the National University of Singapore, and the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The subjects he has taught include statistics, computing, actuarial science and financial mathematics. His areas of research include statistical methods, actuarial science, and financial security for old age. Dr Lee has also been a practicing actuary, being a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and having qualified as an Associate of the Society of Actuaries. His industry experience is mainly with the insurance industry in Singapore. Dr Lee has done consultancy work for an insurance trade organisation and various insurers in Singapore, in such fields as ratemaking, reserving and life annuities. He has also been involved in consultancy in data analysis relating to marketing and retail forecasting. Dr Lee has published works in the fields of statistics, actuarial science and insurance, among others. His papers have appeared in such academic and professional journals as T he Annals of Statistics, Journal of the Royal Statistical Society B, Biometrika, Applied Statistics, The American Statistician, Journal of Risk and Insurance, Proceedings of the Casualty Actuarial Society, Australian Journal of Statistics and Singapore Economic Review. Dr Lee holds an MSc and a PhD in Statistics from the University of Toronto, and a BA from the University of Malaya.
