Celgene Corp.

Robert J. Hugin has been a director since April 2003. Since May 2006, Mr. Hugin has served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Celgene Corporation, a biopharmaceutical company focused on cancer and immunological diseases. From June 1999 to May 2006, Mr. Hugin served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Celgene. From 1985 to 1999, Mr. Hugin held positions with J.P. Morgan & Co. Inc., an investment banking firm, serving most recently as a Managing Director. Mr. Hugin is a director of Celgene Corporation and Atlantic Health System, Inc. Mr. Hugin received an A.B. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.

Dr. Zeldis is Chief Medical Officer of Celgene Corporation, Warren, NJ. He is currently Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Prior to working at Celgene, Dr. Zeldis worked at Sandoz Research Institute and Janssen Research Institute in both clinical research and medical development. He has been a board member of a few start-up biotechnology companies and is currently on the board of the Semorex Corporation, ImmuneRegen, the NJ Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and the Castleman's Disease Organization. He currently has published 95 peer reviewed articles and 24 reviews, book chapters, and editorials.

Dale M. Lombardi leads the Company as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lombardi has been involved in biomedical research and development in the pharmaceutical industry since 1978 as a physiologist, pharmacologist, drug development project manager, clinical project leader, and licensing and business development executive. As clinical project leader, Mr. Lombardi was responsible for the submission of two new drug applications to the FDA that were approved for marketing (MiniPress XL and ProCardia GITS). He was also responsible for a number of important business advances and licenses during his tenure as Associate Director, Licensing and Business Development at Pfizer, Inc., Director of Licensing and Business Development for Celgene Corporation, Director of the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Pennsylvania and Vice President, Global Corporate Licensing at British Technology Group. Mr. Lombardi was also responsible for venture capital financing for pharmaceuticals and start-up companies during his tenure as Senior Vice President for Technology Management & Funding, LP.

Steve is currently employed with Celgene Cellular Therapeutics. His lab focuses attention on stem cell differentiation with an orthopedic team studying bone repair. Prior to joining Celgene, Steve worked at Sanofi-Aventis with drug safety in the Toxicogenomics Group, studying potential pharmaceutical effects on DNA. Steve graduated from Cook College, Rutgers in 2006 with a B.S. in Biotechnology. During his time at Rutgers he conducted research with Dr. Mohamed M. Rafi in the food science department at Cook College. Utilizing oligo-nucleotide arrays for genetic screening in biotechnology he worked to study effects of bioactive food compounds (nutraceuticals) such as Zeaxanthin, Myrrh and Lutein. While with Dr. Rafi, Steve also tutored two Newark high school students in a program designed to enhance scientific training in the city.

Gilla Kaplan Ph.D. has been one of our Directors since April 1998 and is a member of the Audit Committee of our Board of Directors. She is head of the Laboratory of Mycobacterial Immunity and Pathogenesis at The Public Health Research Institute Center at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, where she was appointed full member in 2002. Dr. Kaplan is also Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ. Previously, Dr. Kaplan was an Immunologist in the Laboratory of Cellular Physiology and Immunology at The Rockefeller University in New York where she was an Associate Professor.

Jim Loughlin was named to the Celgene Board of Directors in January 2007, and serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Loughlin, an experienced corporate director served as the National Director of the Pharmaceuticals Practice at KPMG, including a five-year term as member of the Board of Directors of KPMG LLP. Additionally, Mr. Loughlin served as Chairman of the Pension and Investment Committee of the KPMG Board from 1995 through 2001. He also served as Partner in charge of Human Resources, Chairman of the Personnel and Professional Development Committee, Secretary and Trustee of the Peat Marwick Foundation and a member of the Pension, Operating and Strategic Planning Committees.
