Mr. González earned his B.A. and M.B.A. from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Since he joined CEMEX in 1989, he has held several senior management positions, including Corporate Vice President of Strategic Planning, President of CEMEX Venezuela, President of CEMEX Asia, President of CEMEX South America and Caribbean Region, and President of CEMEX Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Mr. González is currently responsible for CEMEX’s worldwide strategic planning and development.

Mr. Trevino, who joined CEMEX in 1997, received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in industrial engineering from Stanford University. He is responsible for the company's finance, capital markets, treasury, and investor relations.

Mr. Garcia, who originally joined CEMEX in 1975 and rejoined the company in 1985, holds a degree in mechanical engineering and business administration from Tecnologico de Monterrey and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas. He is responsible for managing CEMEX's operations technology, human resources, energy, and information technology.

Mr. Medina, who joined CEMEX in 1988, has a degree in chemical engineering from Tecnologico de Monterrey. He received an M.Sc. degree in management from the University of Bradford Management Center in the United Kingdom and an M.S. Diploma from the Escuela de Organizacion Industrial in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Medina is responsible for CEMEX's worldwide strategic planning and finance.

Has been a member of our board of directors since 1985. He is the chief executive officer of Compania Industrial de Parras, S.A. de C.V. and Parras Cone de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. He is a member of the board of directors of Parras Williamson, S.A. de C.V., Telas de Parras, S.A. de C.V., Synkro, S.A. de C.V., IUSA-GE, S. de R.L., Industrias Unidas, S.A., Apolo Operadora de Sociedades de Inversion, S.A. de C.V., and Cambridge Lee Industries, Inc. Mr. Garcia Muriel is also vice president of the Textile Industry National Chamber ( Camara Nacional de la Industria Textil ). He is a first cousin of Armando J. Garcia Segovia, executive vice president of development of CEMEX and a member of our board of directors, and Jorge Garcia Segovia, an alternate member of our board of directors.

Executive Vice President of Administration Mr. Romo joined CEMEX in 1985. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting and his M.S. degree in administration from Tecnologico de Monterrey. Before assuming his current position, Mr. Romo served as President of the South America and Caribbean Region. He is now responsible for the areas of comptrollership, procurement, taxation, security, risk management, and administrative services, processes, and projects.

Has been a member of our board of directors since 2001, and member of our corporate practices and audit committee since 2006. Mr. Zambrano Villarreal served as an alternate member of our board of directors from 1995 to 2001. He is also general vice-president of Desarrollo Integrado, S.A. de C.V., chairman of the board of directors of Empresas Falcon, S.A. de C.V., Alimentos Selectos Falcon, S.A. de C.V., and Trek Associates, Inc., secretary of the board of directors of Administracion Ficap, S.A. de C.V., Aero Zano, S.A. de C.V., Ciudad Villamonte, S.A. de C.V., Focos, S.A. de C.V., Compania de Vidrio Industrial, S.A. de C.V., C & I Capital, S.A. de C.V., Industrias Diza, S.A. de C.V., Inmuebles Trevisa, S.A. de C.V., and Servicios Tecnicos Hidraulicos, S.A. de C.V., and member of the board of directors of Invercap Holdings, S.A. de C.V. He is a brother of Roberto Zambrano Villarreal, a member of our board of directors and president of our corporate practices and audit committee.
