Prior to his CICF appointment, Brian was Managing Director of the Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) for seven years. The IRT, Indiana's resident professional theatre, is nationally respected for the quality of its work, its close connection to the community, and its focus on and care in creating a supportive environment for artists. During Brian's tenure, the IRT grew its audience and significantly increased its community and educational programs. Brian also played a lead role in raising $16.5 million to create the IRT's endowment and to renovate the company's historic theatre built in 1927. Brian has been very involved in the Indianapolis community since he arrived in 1993. He has served as President of the Indianapolis Consortium of Arts Administration, as a board member of the United Way, Greenways Foundation, Lacy Leadership Association, Techpoint Foundation, and the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association. One of his favorite assignments was serving as the co-chair of the Placemaking Committee of the Indianapolis Regional Center Plan 2020. Currently, Brian is one of nine commissioners on the City's Cultural Development Commission and serves on the boards of Indianapolis Downtown, Inc., Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee and Indianapolis Convention & Visitor's Association's Tourism Tomorrow. Other community assignments include the LaPlaza Board of Advisors, Key Bank Indiana Advisory Board, IUPUI Advisory Board and Indy Hub Advisory Committee. Brian has been honored with the Michael A. Carroll Civic Leadership award and the Margot Eccles Lacy Leadership Association Advancement award. He was also a recipient of IBJ's Forty under 40 award. Brian is a native Californian. Before making his home in Indianapolis, he was Managing Director of Shakespeare Santa Cruz for eight years and worked for various theatre producing organizations in Southern California including the La Jolla Playhouse and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Arts Festival. He received both his Master of Fine Arts degree and Bachelor of Arts from UCLA.

Tony is Associate Vice President for Development for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). The goal of our philanthropic services team is to build donor engagement, helping donors and advisors become effective philanthropists. Tony leads the Foundation's work with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and local Family Strengthening Coalition for neighborhood and family development. He recently directed the community-wide business planning for NPower Indiana, a new information technology service for nonprofits. Tony joined CICF in 1996 as a program officer, and previously: managed a regional services contract with the Indiana Arts Commission; created scholarship fund services; expanded the Summer Youth Program Fund partnership; and managed the Foundation's $28 million Library Fund. His professional career began with the Indiana Department of Commerce where he staffed the Indiana Main Street Program, and supervised annual grants for non-profit operating support, community development, and community planning. Tony has trained audiences in community development, foundation relations, and nonprofit development topics in local, statewide, and national workshops. He has served on a variety of grant review panels and community initiatives for state agencies and local nonprofit funders. Born and raised in Decatur Indiana, he serves on the boards of the Indiana Advocates for the Arts and the Old Centrum, an organization redeveloping a historic church into an urban community center. Tony earned his undergraduate degree from Manchester College and graduate degree from Butler University. His wife, Alex, is an assistant professor at Purdue University, where she teaches information literacy and problem-based learning skills.

Cindy serves as Executive Director of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation, supporting organization of Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). Indianapolis Parks Foundation was created in 1991 as a nonprofit organization, specifically to enhance the recreational, educational, and cultural life of the Indianapolis community by encouraging and soliciting support for the parks system. Cindy is responsible for overall management of the Indianapolis Parks Foundation. She works to secure adequate funds to support Indy Parks and Recreation through private contributions to the Parks Endowment Fund and Land Trust Fund. Cindy is an advocate for park issues, and inspires citizen participation to encourage a flourishing parks system. Prior to joining the Indianapolis Parks Foundation in 2000, Cindy served as Executive Director of the National Association for Health & Fitness, Director of Development & Marketing with the Ruth Lilly Center for Health Education, and Director of Development with I-STAR.

"Anne Nobles became vice president of compliance and enterprise risk management and chief compliance officer in June 2007. She is a member of the corporate operations committee and the senior management council. She had been the vice president of corporate affairs since June 2003.
Nobles received a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude in anthropology from Harvard College in 1978. She received a master’s degree in anthropology from Harvard University in 1979 and a doctor of laws degree magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 1984, where she served as an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.
Nobles joined Lilly in 1990 as manager of public affairs. In 1992, she was manager of medical and regulatory affairs. She was promoted to director of public policy planning and development in 1994 and, in 1998, was promoted to lead the business-to-business organization in Lilly’s U.S. affiliate (LillyUSA). In November 1999, she was named the Strattera product team leader.
Prior to joining Lilly, Nobles was an attorney at the law firm of Bose, McKinney &Evans LLP, Indianapolis. She has held several positions for the state of Indiana, including securities commissioner and executive assistant to the governor for fiscal policy. She has served on a number of state and local commissions and not-for-profit boards, including being appointed as the first chairwoman of the Indiana Commission for Women and past chair of the advisory board of the Salvation Army of Indiana.
Nobles is a member of the board of directors of the National Urban League, Citizens Gas & Coke Utility, the Women’s Leadership Board of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and a member of the Committee of 200.

Jan is Senior Gift Planning Advisor for Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF). Since January of 1996, she has worked with professional advisors, individuals, families, charitable organizations, and businesses to help them accomplish their philanthropic goals and dreams; provides charitable gift planning assistance to professional advisors and their clients through estate planning; and serves as the primary staff contact for Heritage Circle Society, composed of individuals who have made plans to leave a future gift to the community through CICF and its affiliates. Jan is Immediate Past President of Planned Giving Group of Indiana and has previously served as Vice President. Jackie Barrett, a member of the 2005 OPTIONS class, joined the Advisory Board in 2008 and is chair of the GO Committee. Michael L. Smith served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Anthem, Inc., and its subsidiaries, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, from April 1999 until his retirement in January 2005. Anthem is one of the largest health benefits companies in the United States. From April 1996 to March 1998, he served as Chief Operating Officer and CFO of American Health Network, a former Anthem subsidiary that provided physician practice management services to 270 primary care practices in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Prior to joining Anthem, Mr. Smith was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of transportation company, Mayflower Group, Inc. He began his business career in the Indianapolis office of Arthur Andersen & Co. after graduating from DePauw University in 1970. Mr. Smith currently serves on the Boards of Directors for several businesses, including Emergency Medical Services Corporation, Inc., the nation's largest emergency medical services provider; Kite Realty Group Trust, a real estate investment trust, or REIT; Vectren Corporation, a progressive energy-holding company; and HH Gregg Appliances, Inc., one of the nation's leading retailers of home appliances and consumer electronics. He also serves on the Boards of Finishmaster, Inc., and its parent, Ldi Ltd., and Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. Additionally, Mr. Smith serves on the Board of the Central Indiana Community Foundation and is a member of the Board of Trustees of DePauw University, the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and Lumina Foundation for Education. Mr. Smith is a founding member of Cardinal Equity Partners, a mid-market private equity investment fund headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sue attended the first Women's Fund dinner with her husband and went home and read the brochure from cover to cover. She remembers thinking, "it is so great this is happening in the community." She enjoys learning about community agencies by serving on the grants committee and is impressed with the impact Women's Fund can make with its grants.
