Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Medford, MA, Century Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ-GM: CNBKA) is the holding company for Century Bank and Trust. The bank has about 25 branches in the Boston metropolitan area and northeastern Massachusetts serving consumers and small to mid-sized businesses. It offers checking and savings accounts, money market accounts, CDs, IRAs, and other standard banking products. It offers commercial real estate loans, residential mortgages, construction and development loans, business loans, and home equity loans. Its Century Financial Services subsidiary offers investment and brokerage services. In February 2006, it sold its rights to future royalty payments, to NOVA Information Systems, a wholly owed subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp.
