As Chief Operating Officer of CenturyTel since 2000, Puckett directs all of the company's operations, including sales, marketing, field operations, engineering, call centers and other support functions. Upon arrival at CenturyTel, Puckett joined in the integration of nearly 500,000 access lines acquired from GTE in Arkansas, Missouri and Wisconsin. She also led the 2001 company-wide realignment to a General Manager structure, thus pushing decision making closer to the customer and making CenturyTel more responsive to the marketplace. Puckett was instrumental in the effective divestiture of CenturyTel's wireless business, enabling the company's execution of a pure play rural wireline strategy. In addition, she led the effort to integrate CenturyTel's largest single access line acquisition in its history, growing the company by nearly 700,000 access lines. Puckett is a Board Member of the United States Telecom Association (USTA).

Mike Maslowski is CenturyTel's first Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He is responsible for all of the company's information systems activities. He has 39 years of experience working in the telecommunications business with Illinois Bell, AT&T, Lucent Technologies and CenturyTel. Maslowski believes a sharp focus on customer needs, the company's ability to package its products and services, and an infrastructure which enhances integration and acquisition are three critical success factors for information systems at CenturyTel. His major focus is to improve the systems capability to provide better service to CenturyTel customers.

His responsibilities include managing CenturyTel's accounting, treasury, corporate development and investor relations functions. Ewing's extensive experience includes management of CenturyTel's regulatory, information systems and corporate planning areas. He has been a main contributor to CenturyTel's consistent earnings growth over the past several years.

During his tenure at CenturyTel, his responsibilities have included overseeing the entire wireless operations; directing all external financial reporting and accounting activities; directing and coordinating acquisitions; directing all financial and accounting activities for CenturyTel's wireless operations; and directing CenturyTel's regulatory affairs.

Virginia Boulet has served on our board since March 2005. Ms. Boulet serves as special counsel to the law firm of Adams & Reese, LLP, and is an adjunct professor of law at Loyola University School of Law. She has over twenty years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, equity securities offerings, general business matters and counseling clients regarding compliance with federal securities laws and regulations. Ms. Boulet, graduated from Yale University in 1975 and received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 1983 from Tulane University Law School. Ms. Boulet also serves as the presiding independent director of CenturyTel, Inc. (NYSE:CTL).

Positions held at CenturyTel Director of Corporate Legal Services - 1998 Vice President and Assistant General Counsel - 2001 Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary - 2003 Education Bachelor's Degree/Business - Mississippi State University/Starkville, Mississippi Juris Doctorate/Magna Cum Laude - University of Mississippi/Oxford, Mississippi Stacey Goff has played a key role in negotiating and closing the more than $6 billion of acquisitions and dispositions CenturyTel has completed over the last seven years. He also contributes to the negotiation of the company's complex agreements and large dispute resolutions with third parties, as well as assisting the company's executive management and board of directors in their compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Goff's responsibilities also include management of CenturyTel's corporate administrative support, corporate aviation functions and Century Marketing Solutions.

James B. Gardner has served his profession and his community with dedication and distinction. An investment adviser specializing in service to financial institutions, he recently co-founded and serves as chair of Commerce Street Holdings, LLC. For more than 13 years, Mr. Gardner also serves as senior managing director of Samco Capital Markets, Inc., following a 40-year career in banking. He is past president of the Dallas Bankers Association. He is a director of two NYSE listed companies, CenturyTel, Inc. and Ennis, Inc. Gardner earned his B.B.A. in finance from SMU's Cox School of Business in 1955. He has served the University as a member of the Executive Board of Perkins School of Theology and convener of the Dean's Roundtable at Perkins. Gardner's community service has spanned areas from international affairs to the arts. His leadership positions have included chair of the International Committee of the North Texas Commission, board member of the Dallas Opera and director of United Way of Greater Dallas. He served as chair of the Board of Visitors of the School for Officer Training in Atlanta. In recognition of his service, he received the Order of Distinguished Service from the Salvation Army.
