The company is divided into two units: Vitas, which provides nursing, doctor and social work care for terminally ill patients; and Roto-Rooter which provides plumbing and drain cleaning services through some 600 service locations. The company had 2005 revenue of about $926.5 million and employs approximately 10,880 people. In August 2006 the company's Board of Directors authorized the establishment of a $50 million ongoing share repurchase program.

Spencer S. Lee, 50, is an Executive Vice President of Chemed Corporation (NYSE:CHE) and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its Roto-Rooter Management Company subsidiary. Thomas J. Reilly, 51, is a Vice President of Chemed Corporation (NYSE:CHE). Mr. Reilly began his Chemed career in 1979 as a tax accountant for the company's former DuBois Chemicals Inc. subsidiary.
