David J. O'Reilly, age 61, has been chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Chevron since January 2000. Prior Positions Held: O'Reilly was vice chairman of the board of Chevron from 1998 until 1999. He was a vice president of Chevron from 1991 until 1998. He was president of Chevron Products Company from 1994 until 1998. He was a senior vice president and chief operating officer of Chevron Chemical Company from 1989 until 1991. John W. McDonald is vice president and chief technology officer of Chevron Corporation, a position he assumed in January 2008. He is the corporate officer responsible for Chevron's three technology companies: Energy Technology, Information Technology and Technology Ventures. In this role, he manages the research, development and integrated application of technology throughout the company's worldwide business activities. McDonald is a member of Chevron’s Strategy and Planning Committee and Management Committee. Previously, McDonald served as vice president of Strategic Planning for Chevron Corporation. He was responsible for advising senior corporate executives in setting strategic direction for the company, allocating capital and other resources, determining operating unit performance measures and targets, and reviewing and undertaking significant mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. McDonald, a U.S. citizen, was born in Ontario, Canada. In 1975, he earned an honors bachelor's of science degree in geophysics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. McDonald began his career with Texaco in 1975 as a geophysicist in the company's Calgary office and went on to hold positions of increasing responsibility at various locations around the world. In 1991, he served as strategic adviser in the Strategic Planning group and in 1992 was assigned to Texaco's executive offices as assistant to the chairman of the company. In 1994, McDonald served as assistant division manager of Texaco Exploration and Production's onshore division, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and in 1996, was named vice president of exploration and production, offshore division, also in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this role, he was responsible for all Gulf of Mexico exploration and production activities, including deepwater operations. In 1998, McDonald was named vice president, Production, for Texaco International with responsibility for Europe, based in London, England. In 1999, he was named managing director, Texaco Ltd., after the consolidation of all of Texaco's European exploration and production activities in the United Kingdom, Denmark and Poland. Upon the merger of Chevron and Texaco in October 2001, he was named managing director of ChevronTexaco Upstream Europe, a strategic business unit of ChevronTexaco Overseas Petroleum Inc., based in Aberdeen, Scotland. McDonald has been an active member of numerous business and civic organizations, including serving as president and executive officer of the United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association and as a member of the United Kingdom Industry/Government Forum, known as PILOT. McDonald also is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Lydia I. Beebe is corporate secretary and chief governance officer of Chevron Corporation. She was first elected corporate secretary in 1995. Beebe serves as secretary to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Board Nominating and Governance Committee. In addition, her responsibilities include managing the Corporate Governance Department, counseling the Board of Directors and senior management on corporate governance and overseeing stockholder services for Chevron and its subsidiaries. She also serves on the Chevron Employees Political Action Committee Board of Directors. Beebe joined Chevron in 1977 as an attorney and has held a variety of legal and government affairs positions, including legislative representative for Chevron in Washington, D.C., tax lawyer and senior manager in Chevron's tax department. Beebe serves on the Board of Directors of the Council of Institutional Investors and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals. She is past chairman of the society, the group's Corporate Practices Committee, and the 57th National Conference Committee for the society's 2003 conference. She is a frequent speaker and panelist on corporate governance topics. Recent forums include programs by the society, Conference Board, National Association of Corporate Directors, Directors' Forum, National Investor Relations Institute and the Association of Corporate Counsel. Beebe served on the Board of Directors of the Presidio Trust, to which she was appointed by President George W. Bush, from 2003 until 2008. She was chairperson of the Trust board's finance and audit committee. Appointed by Governor Pete Wilson, Beebe served on the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission from 1991 to 1999 and was chairperson from 1995 through 1999. Beebe serves on the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Club of Northern California, the Board of Governors of the Kansas University Law Alumni, and on the boards of trustees of the National Judicial College and Golden Gate University. She is past president and board member and current advisory board member of the Professional Business Women of California. For more than 10 years she was a member of the San Francisco Municipal Fiscal Advisory Committee to the mayor. In 2004, Beebe received Golden Gate University's Alumna of the Year award. In 1996, she received the "Breakthrough Award" from the Professional Business Women of California for her lasting and vital contributions to business and the community. Every year from 1999 through 2008, the San Francisco Business Times has named her one of "the most influential businesswomen in the Bay Area." Beebe is a graduate of the University of Kansas and its law school and holds an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University. She is a native of McPherson, Kansas. She and her husband Charles Doyle have three children.

Patricia E. Yarrington is vice president and chief financial officer of Chevron Corporation, a position she assumed in January 2009. A native of Orange, N.J., Yarrington earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 1977 from Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., and a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, in Evanston, Ill. Yarrington joined Chevron in 1980 and held various financial and analytical positions in the corporation and Chevron U.S.A. Inc. In 1986, she was named manager of investor relations for the corporation. She went on to hold supervisory positions of increasing responsibility in Chevron Products Co., Chevron U.S.A. Production Co., and Chevron Research and Technology Co. In 1995, she was named manager of credit card enterprises for marketing department of Chevron Products Co. In June 1997, she was named comptroller for Chevron Products Co. In March 1998, she was appointed president of Chevron Canada Ltd., a petroleum products refining and marketing company, headquartered in Vancouver, B.C. In August 2000, Yarrington was named vice president of strategic planning for Chevron, responsible for advising senior corporate executives in setting strategic direction, allocating capital, determining operating unit performance measures and targets, and significant mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. In November 2002, she was named vice president of policy, government and public affairs for Chevron. In this capacity, she oversaw U.S. and international government relations, all aspects of corporate communications, and the company's worldwide efforts in community outreach. In April 2007, she was named corporate vice president and treasurer of Chevron Corporation. In this capacity, she oversaw the company's financing strategies and cash management activities. Yarrington is on the board of directors of Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., a 50-50 joint venture with ConocoPhillips Petroleum, one of the world's top commodity chemicals producers. Yarrington currently serves on the San Francisco Federal Reserve's Board of Directors.

Charles A. James is executive vice president for Chevron Corporation. Most recently, he was assistant attorney general in charge of the Antitrust Division at the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to his assignment at the Justice Department, James practiced law at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in Washington, D.C., where he chaired the firm's worldwide antitrust and trade regulation practice. James received his bachelor's degree in 1976 from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut and his law degree in 1979 from the National Law Center at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He joined the Federal Trade Commission where, from 1979 to 1985, he served in several positions, including assistant to the director of the commission's Bureau of Competition. In 1985, he joined the international law firm Jones Day. James interrupted his tenure to serve in the first Bush administration as deputy assistant attorney general and later as acting assistant attorney general. James returned to Jones Day in 1993. His practice concentrated primarily on antitrust matters, including mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, particularly in the telecommunications, health care, information technology and financial services industries. He has extensive international and regulatory experience in and out of government. He assumed the position of general counsel for Chevron Corporation in December 2002 and the position of executive vice president on April 1, 2009. James has been active in numerous professional and public service organizations. He has held leadership positions in the American Bar Association's Business Law and Antitrust Law sections and has been a member of the Antitrust Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

George L. Kirkland is executive vice president of Global Upstream and Gas for Chevron Corporation. He is responsible for Chevron Corporation's global exploration, production, and gas activities. He assumed this position in January 2005 and is based in San Ramon, California. Kirkland served as president of Chevron Overseas Petroleum from 2002 through 2004, responsible for exploration and production operations outside North America, and was president of Chevron U.S.A. Production Co. in 2000-2001, responsible for exploration and production operations in the United States and Canada. From 1992 through 1999, Kirkland was based in Nigeria, where he held the positions of general manager of production, and chairman and managing director of Chevron Nigeria Ltd. In 1990, Kirkland was appointed group manager of upstream technology for Chevron Research and Technology Co., following a series of upstream assignments of increasing responsibility in San Francisco, Denver, Midland, Indonesia, Lafayette, and New Orleans. Kirkland joined Chevron in 1974 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Kirkland is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Africa America Institute, a board member of the Corporate Council on Africa, a director of the U.S.-Kazakhstan Business Association, a director of the US-ASEAN Business Council, and also a board member of the American Petroleum Institute.

John E. Bethancourt is executive vice president for technology and services for Chevron Corporation He also is responsible for overseeing health, environment and safety, as well as chemical, additives and mining operations. A native of Dallas, Texas, he earned a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University in 1974. Later that year, Bethancourt joined Getty Oil Co. as a field engineer in Kilgore, Texas, and subsequently held a series of engineering and management positions with increasing responsibility. He joined Texaco Inc. when it merged with Getty in 1984 and was appointed area manager for South Texas in Texaco's U.S. producing operation. In 1989, Bethancourt was appointed assistant division manager of the Midland producing division in Midland, Texas. In 1991, Bethancourt was named assistant to management in the office of the president and chief executive officer at Texaco's headquarters in White Plains, New York. He joined the Middle East/Far East division in 1993 as managing director of business development and was then named regional director for China. In 1996, Bethancourt was appointed to the position of vice president of business development for Texaco's refining and marketing group. Bethancourt relocated to Houston, Texas, after being named vice president of corporate development in 1998. In this position, he was responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and for handling Texaco's exploration and production transaction activities including mergers and acquisitions, trades and divestitures. In 2000, Bethancourt was named vice president of Texaco Inc. and president of production operations for Texaco Worldwide Exploration and Production. In these roles, he was responsible for global producing operations with the objective of maximizing earnings and cash flow from Texaco's oil and gas fields while maintaining safe and environmentally sound operations. Bethancourt was named vice president of Human Resources upon the formation of ChevronTexaco Corporation in October 2001. He assumed his present position in July 2003. Bethancourt is on the board of directors of the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Inc., and the board of trustees of the Texas A&M Foundation. He is a former director of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Michael K. Wirth is Chevron Corporation's executive vice president for Global Downstream, a position he assumed in March 2006. He is responsible for directing the company's worldwide manufacturing, marketing, lubricants, and supply and trading businesses. Previously, Wirth served as president of Global Supply and Trading, responsible for leading the corporation's worldwide supply and trading operations as well as its aviation, marine and asphalt businesses. A native of Golden, Colorado, he graduated in 1982 from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Upon graduation, he began his career with Chevron as a design engineer in the corporate engineering department. He went on to serve in a variety of engineering, construction and operations positions of increasing responsibility. Wirth was named General Manager, Retail Marketing in 1999 and was responsible for all aspects of Chevron's U.S. retail marketing, including sales, brand management, advertising, pricing, credit card operations, e-business, real estate and station construction. In August 2000, Wirth was named President, Marketing for Caltex Corp., based in Singapore. In that capacity, he was responsible for the company's retail, wholesale and aviation fuels marketing businesses across Asia and Africa. He also served on the board of directors for Caltex Australia Ltd. and GSCaltex in South Korea. In October 2001, upon the merger of Chevron and Texaco, Wirth was named president of Marketing for ChevronTexaco's Asia/Middle East/Africa marketing business unit, based in Singapore. Prior to that assignment, he led the company's refining and marketing business in that region on an interim basis. Wirth was born in 1960. He serves on the Dean's Engineering Advisory Committee at the University of Colorado, and on the Board of Directors of the Tiger Woods Foundation and the San Francisco 49'ers Foundation. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and their four children.

C. A. Taylor is vice president of Health, Environment and Safety for Chevron Corporation, a position he assumed in May 2007. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading health environment and safety strategic planning and issues management, compliance assurance, and emergency response. Taylor also plays a key role in implementing the company's operational excellence and organizational capability initiatives, which are critical elements of Chevron's business strategy. In addition, Chevron's Environmental Management Company, which manages environmental remediation and abandonment liabilities, reports to Taylor. A native of Indiana, Taylor was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Purdue University, Indiana in 1980. He also holds a master's degree in business administration from Tulane University, Louisiana, awarded in 1992. He was awarded the Allen R. Vorholt Award for academic and business leadership and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma scholastic honor society in 1992. Since joining the company as a drilling engineer, Taylor has held numerous domestic and international engineering and management positions in Chevron's upstream operations in the United States, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Most recently, Taylor was general manager of the joint venture between Chevron Nigeria Ltd. and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company in Nigeria. There he was responsible for the joint venture's exploration and production business activities. He also served as Chevron's representative on the executive committee of the Offshore Producers Trade Section, the primary upstream industry association in Nigeria. From 1999 until 2003, Taylor was general manager, Chevron United Kingdom, based in Aberdeen, where he was responsible for exploration and production business activities for upstream interests in the United Kingdom. He served as Chevron's representative to the board of directors of the United Kingdom Offshore Operators Association and Oil Spill Response Ltd. Taylor also represented Chevron in the oil and gas sector's Step Change Initiative to improve safety in Great Britain. Between 1996 and 1999, he was the manager of asset development and area operations manager of the Bekasap Strategic Business Unit of Caltex Pacific, Indonesia, in Duri, Sumatra, Indonesia.

Jay Pryor is Chevron Corporation vice president for Corporate Business Development. He is responsible for identifying and developing new, large-scale business opportunities throughout the world. A native of Mississippi, Pryor earned his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Mississippi State University in 1979. That same year, he joined Chevron U.S.A. Production Co. as a petroleum engineer and held a number of production-related positions. He gained valuable downstream management experience in U.S. natural gas sales during the country's transition toward deregulation. Pryor held a succession of management positions with increasing responsibilities in Asia, the United States, Europe and the former Soviet Union. In 1992, Pryor joined Chevron's international subsidiary Chevron Overseas Petroleum Inc. as the first manager of petroleum engineering in the newly established Tengizchevroil joint venture in Kazakhstan. In 1996, he transferred to San Ramon, Calif., as sponsor in charge of career development for operations personnel. He also served as general manager of Human Resources for Chevron's worldwide operations. In 1999, he became managing director of the Asia South business unit and managing director of Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd. In 2002, Pryor was named managing director of Chevron Nigeria Ltd., one of Nigeria's leading petroleum exploration and production companies. In that position, he was responsible for directing Chevron's oil and gas operations in West Africa, including Nigeria, São Tomé, Chad and in Equatorial Guinea. Pryor assumed his current position in May 2006. Pryor also is co-chairman of the Nigerian Business Coalition Against HIV/AIDS, a body inaugurated by Nigeria's President Olusegun Obasanjo to spearhead efforts by the country's private sector to combat the spread of the deadly disease. In addition, he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and founded the society's first branch in Kazakhstan.

Joe Laymon is vice president of Human Resources for Chevron Corporation. In this capacity he oversees Chevron's global human resources and medical services function and is the principal steward of the company's Invest in People strategy that seeks to build a high-performing global workforce. A native of Mississippi, Laymon came to Chevron in 2008 from Ford Motor Company, where he served as group vice president of Corporate Human Resources and Labor Affairs. Prior to joining Ford in 2000, Laymon worked for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with assignments in Zaire and Washington, D.C. He joined Xerox Corporation in 1979, and went on to hold a number of senior human resources and labor positions, over the course of 17 years, including chief labor negotiator. Laymon then joined the Eastman Kodak Company where he held several senior human resources positions, including vice president of Human Resources for U.S. and International Operations. Laymon is a member of the Human Resources Network in the Petroleum Industry, the HR Policy Association, and the board of directors for Molex, Inc. He earned a bachelor's degree from Jackson State University in 1975 and a master's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977. Laymon was born October 1952. He and his wife, Dianne, have three children.

John D. Gass is vice president of Chevron Corporation and president of Chevron Global Gas (CGG). CGG plays a key role in commercializing Chevron's natural gas resources while creating and developing new growth opportunities worldwide. Gass also oversees Chevron's shipping company, power and pipeline operations as well as Chevron's participation in the Sasol Chevron gas-to-liquids joint venture. A native of Key Biscayne, Florida, Gass graduated in 1974 from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He later earned a master's degree in civil engineering from Tulane University, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1980. Gass joined Chevron U.S.A. in 1974 as a design engineer in New Orleans, Louisiana. Over the years, he held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations and management in Louisiana and California. In 1988, he was named operations manager for Amoseas Indonesia Inc. based in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1991, Gass was named project manager for the Chevron's Alba Field development, a major North Sea development in the United Kingdom. In 1994, he was named profit center manager in Bay Marchand, Louisiana, for Chevron U.S.A. Production Co. In April 1996, Gass was named managing director of Chevron Australia Pty. Ltd., headquartered in Perth, Australia, with responsibility for Chevron's oil and gas interests in Australia and Papua New Guinea, including the expansion of the North West Shelf liquefied natural gas facility. In April 2001, he was named managing director of Chevron's Southern Africa strategic business unit based in Luanda, Angola, a position he maintained upon the formation of ChevronTexaco Corporation in October 2001. In this capacity, he was responsible for the company's oil and gas exploration and production activities in Angola, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo and Namibia. He was also responsible for development of the Angola LNG project with partner Sonangol, the state-owned oil company of Angola. Gass assumed his present position in June 2003. Gass is on the board of directors of Sasol Chevron, a 50/50 joint venture with Sasol Ltd., and the National Bureau of Asian Research. Gass serves in a variety of industry and civic organizations and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Mark A. Humphrey is vice president and comptroller of Chevron Corporation. His responsibilities encompass corporatewide accounting, financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, funded benefits investments, and actuarial functions. He also is responsible for Finance Shared Services. He assumed his current position on January 1, 2005. An Ohio native, Humphrey earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1974. He earned a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University in 1976. Humphrey joined Chevron in 1976 as an analyst in the MBA Development Program and then held positions of increasing responsibility in Corporate Comptroller's, Chevron Chemical and Chevron U.S.A. organizations. In 1990, he was appointed manager, Finance, for Chevron Overseas Petroleum's U.K. operations, and in 1993 vice president, Finance, for Chevron's P&M Coal Mining Co. in Colorado. From 1996 through 2004, Humphrey's positions included manager, Financial Services Center; general manager, Auditing; vice president, Finance Chevron Products Company; and general manager, Finance Shared Services.

Paul K. Siegele is vice president of Strategic Planning for Chevron Corporation. He is responsible for advising senior corporate executives in setting strategic direction for the company, allocating capital and other resources, and determining operating-unit performance measures and targets. Siegele was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1959. He earned a bachelor of science degree in geology from California Lutheran University in 1980 and a master of science degree in geology from California State University at Northridge in 1990. Siegele began his career with Texaco in 1980 as a petroleum geologist in the Los Angeles operations division. He has held numerous technical and managerial positions as well as a variety of exploration assignments in North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia. In 1995, he was appointed upstream coordinator of Texaco's Corporate Planning and Economics Group located in Harrison, New York. In 1997, he was named regional manager of Texaco International’s Exploration Division, and later, regional manager of the Exploration and New Ventures Division located in Bellaire, Texas. Upon the merger of Chevron and Texaco in 2001, he was appointed exploration manager of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Co., based in New Orleans. He was named vice president of Deepwater Exploration and Projects in 2005, in which role he managed the company's industry-leading deepwater exploration initiatives in the Gulf of Mexico. He assumed his current position January 1, 2008. Siegele is a member of the Geological Society of America and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.

Pierre R. Breber is vice president and treasurer of Chevron Corporation a position he assumed in January 2009. Born in Canada, Breber received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Cornell University in 1989. Breber joined Chevron in 1989 as a financial analyst in Chevron's Finance MBA Development Program. He went on to hold various supervisory positions of increasing responsibility including manager of investor relations, manager of finance for Chevron's Europe upstream strategic business unit and comptroller for Chevron international upstream. In May 2007, he was named vice president of finance for Chevron's Global Downstream.

Rhonda I. Zygocki is vice president of Policy, Government and Public Affairs for Chevron Corporation. In this capacity, she oversees U.S. and international government relations, all aspects of communications, and the company's worldwide efforts to protect and enhance its reputation. A native of St John's, Newfoundland, Canada, Zygocki graduated in 1980 from Memorial University of Newfoundland where she earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Upon graduation, she joined Chevron Canada Resources (CCR) in Calgary, as a petroleum engineer, working primarily in Western Canada operations. After serving in various positions of increasing responsibility, she was named CCR general manager, strategic business services, in 1993. In 1994, Zygocki was appointed profit center manager for Chevron U.S.A. Production Co., in Houston. In 1997, she returned to Canada as chief financial officer for CCR. Zygocki moved to the company's headquarters in 1999, when she was named manager of strategic planning for Chevron Corporation, responsible for managing the company's planning process. In 2000, she was named adviser to the chairman of the board for Chevron Corporation, and subsequently was responsible for overseeing the merger integration planning office through mid-2001. After the merger of Chevron and Texaco in October 2001, she was named managing director of Chevron Australia Pty Ltd. located in Perth, Australia. In 2003 she was named vice president of Health, Environment and Safety (HES) for Chevron Corporation. In this capacity, she was responsible for leading HES strategic planning and issues management, compliance and auditing, and emergency response. Zygocki also played a key role in implementing the company's operational excellence and organizational capability initiatives, which are important elements of Chevron's business strategy. In addition, Chevron's Environmental Management Company, which manages environmental remediation and abandonment liabilities, reported to Zygocki. Mr. Sheppard is currently an Assistant Treasurer of Chevron Corp. He has been employed by Chevron and its affiliates since the merger of Gulf Oil Corp. with Chevron in 1985. Prior to the merger, Mr. Sheppard held positions of increasing responsibility at Gulf Oil. Mr. Sheppard previously served on the Dynegy Board from 2004 to 2007 as a director designated by Chevron. He rejoined the Board as an independent director in 2008.

Thomas R. Schuttish is general tax counsel for Chevron Corporation In this capacity, he guides and directs the tax activities throughout the corporation and serves as manager of Chevron's Tax department. A native of Carmel, California, Schuttish graduated from San Jose State University with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He earned a law degree from the University of California at Davis and a master's degree in law specializing in tax from New York University. Schuttish joined Chevron in 1980 as a senior tax attorney and has worked in a succession of positions in the corporate Tax department. In 1994, he was appointed assistant general tax counsel, a position he maintained upon the formation of ChevronTexaco Corporation, Oct. 9, 2001. He assumed his current position in September 2002. Schuttish is a member of the American Petroleum Institute, the Tax Council, the State Bar of California and the Tax Foundation.
