Frank M. Hauck is Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Customer Quality and leader of the EMC Storage Division at EMC Corporation. With 2008 revenues of $14.9 billion and nearly 40,000 employees, EMC is the world's leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and solutions that enable organizations of all sizes to transform the way they compete and create value from their information. He reports to EMC Chairman, President and CEO Joe Tucci.Hauck was named leader of the EMC Storage Division in April 2009. In this role, he oversees the development of all of EMC's storage platforms, including EMC Symmetrix and CLARiiON families of networked storage systems, EMC Celerra network-attached storage systems, and EMC Centera content-addressed storage systems. In addition, he oversees the development of EMC's Information Management Software and Infrastructure Software product offerings and is responsible for EMC's Worldwide Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain organizations. In his role leading Global Marketing and Customer Quality, which he has held since May 2006, Hauck leads EMC's marketing, sales enablement, communications, and technology alliances go-to-market activities as well as EMC's Total Customer Experience, Corporate Quality, and Six Sigma initiatives. Prior to this, Hauck was Executive Vice President, Customer Quality and Services, overseeing the EMC Customer Service organization worldwide, as well as Corporate Quality and Six Sigma, Business Integration, Training and Productivity, and Customer Programs. Under Hauck's leadership, EMC has embarked on a multi-year Total Customer Experience (TCE) initiative, with the goal of consistently exceeding its customers' expectations for quality, service, innovation, and interaction. Previously, Hauck was Executive Vice President of Customer Operations, overseeing EMC's Sales and Services organizations, and delivering seven consecutive quarters of double-digit revenue growth. Prior to that, Hauck was Executive Vice President of Products and Offerings, where he helped EMC extend a decade of product leadership while overseeing Enterprise Storage Research and Development Activities, Worldwide Manufacturing Operations, Corporate Quality, Product Management and Strategic Marketing functions. An 18-year veteran of EMC, Hauck also served as EMC's Chief Information Officer after leading EMC's rapid and successful integration of Data General Corporation as Senior Vice President of Business Integration. He also led EMC's Global Customer Service organization, Worldwide Technical Support, and Global Sales Operations. Before joining EMC in 1990, he held a number of management positions at the former Digital Equipment Corporation. He is a graduate of Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island, holds an MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, and completed the Executive Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School.
