Child Focus was established to provide comprehensive services to meet the needs of children and their families in Clermont County. Incorporated in 1977, the agency began with strong leadership from a dynamic volunteer Board of Directors who aggressively sought quality services for the children of Clermont County. In the beginning the agency was known as the Clermont County Diagnostic Center which provided highly specialized services. Today Child Focus has a much broader scope. The Diagnostic Center is now part of our Mental Health Division. In 1982 Head Start Regional Office Department of Health & Human Services was seeking a new grantee for Clermont County's Head Start program. Child Focus was successful in receiving the grant award and began administration of Head Start that same year. Head Start is a federally funded program. We began by serving 150 children and have expanded our services base to 752 children, however, we serve well over 800 different children and their families during the year.
