Dr. James Wang serves as our Chairman of the board of directors. Dr. Wang, a co-founder, is the visionary leader behind China Direct Industries. His dream was to provide critical resources to empower Chinese entities to compete in the global economy. China Direct Industries was founded on this principle and under his leadership we strive to accomplish this goal on each project. Dr. Wang was born and raised in Shanghai, China. As such his experience operating within the Chinese economy is instrumental to our company. Dr. Wang graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei, China in 1985, and then earned a Master's Degree from the Shanghai Second Medical University, in Shanghai, China in 1988. Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in 1994. From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Wang was a research scientist, Assistant Professor, and Lab Director at the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine. Since 2000 Dr. Wang has operated in a variety of capacities with public entities promoting cross border commerce. Dr. Wang continues to capitalize on his knowledge and experience to enable China Direct Industries to empower Chinese entities to compete in the global economy.

Andrew Weeraratne has served as our Chief Financial Officer since February 2009. From February 2000 to January 2009, Mr. Weeraratne was the investment officer for Passerelle Corp., a private investment company. From August 2004 to December 2008, Mr. Weeraratne acted as a financial consultant working in a variety of industries including work with the Embassy of the United States of America in Iraq as a financial advisor to form an Iraqi Accounting Association to introduce International Accounting Standards to Iraq as part of a plan to privatize State owned enterprises after the Iraq war. From December 1998 to February 2000, Mr. Weeraratne was the Chief Financial Officer of National Lampoon, Inc. (formerly known as J2 Communications), a provider of branded comedic content. From November 1996 to December 1998, Mr. Weeraratne was the Controller for Beachport Entertainment Corp., a provider of family entertainment and sporting events and television programming. From 1990 to 1996 Mr. Weeraratne was the Chief Financial Officer of Business Resource Exchange, a business consulting company that identified and resold undervalued companies. From 1982 to 1989, Mr. Weeraratne managed his own CPA firm in Washington D.C. representing foreign clients with investments in the U.S. and in International taxation matters. Mr. Weeraratne has been a Florida licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1981.

Mr. Chen serves as Executive Vice President of our Basic Materials segment. Mr. Chen has over sixteen years of sales experience in the chemical business. Mr. Chen serves as CEO and Chairman of Shanghai Lang Chemical Co.,Ltd. since 1998. He is instrumental in the development of Lang Chemical into a well organized chemical sales giant in the eastern part of China. Mr. Chen received his master degree from East China Normal University.

Mr. Rothstein is a Vice President and our General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Rothstein was born and raised in South Florida and has been practicing law for over 23 years. Mr. Rothstein has held senior legal positions at Elizabeth Arden, Inc. - a global prestige fragrance and beauty products company with operations in over 17 countries, Sports Authority - the nation's largest full line sporting goods retailer operating over 385 stores throughout the United States, Daleen Technologies - a billing and customer care software provider and Let's Talk Cellular & Wireless - a specialty retailer of wireless communication products and services that operated over 270 stores in the United States. In his role as a corporate lawyer, Mr. Rothstein has supported major business units in negotiating customer and product supply agreements, license, distribution, marketing, logistics and information technology agreements and expansion into the Pacific Rim market in addition to the successful completion of several mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Rothstein has been responsible for SEC compliance and reporting and various public debt and equity offerings. Mr. Rothstein received his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Florida State University, his Juris Doctor Degree from Nova Southeastern University Law School and has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubble, the highest level of professional excellence.

Mr. Huang has served as General Manager of Chang Magnesium since June 2006. Mr. Huang is responsible for the operations of Chang Magnesium. Mr. Huang serves as General Manager of Taiyuan Golden (Yiwei) Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd. since founding the company in 1999 and serves in various positions with its affiliated entities including Vice Chairman of Shanxi Golden Trust YiWei Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd, Vice Chairman of Taiyuan Qingcheng YiWei Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Taiyuan Minwei Magnesium Industry Co., General Manager of Taiyuan YiWei Magnesium Factory, and Chairman of Shangxi NiChiMen YiWei Magnesium Co., Ltd.

Mr. Xiaowen Zhuang serves as General Manager of our operations in China, responsible for our operations in China. Mr. Zhuang is a registered Corporate Law consultant in Shanghai, China. As such Mr. Zhuang offers critical insights into the rules and regulations unique to doing business in China. Born and raised in Shanghai, China, Mr. Zhuang has been working as a business consultant in various capacities for private Chinese entities since 1992. In this role, Mr. Zhuang has developed an understanding of the unique challenges facing Chinese companies. Mr. Zhuang holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from East China University of Politics and Law and studied at the College of Electronics Engineering of East China Normal University in 1987.

Mr. Barnes was appointed as a Chief Financial Officer in August 2005. Mr. Barnes is currently Chief Financial Officer of Cyber Defense Systems, Inc. (Symbol: CYDFE.OB) and sits on the board of several non-related companies as Audit Committee Chairman and Financial Expert. David previously served as COO/CFO of several other companies on both a full time and consultative basis including, Nextron, Beefsteak Charlies, American Complex Care, Legend Foods, Intelcom Data Systems, and Superior Care, Inc. Mr. Barnes was the CFO of American United Global, Inc. from April, 1996 to July, 2006. He has been the CFO of Neah Power (NWPS) since April, 2006.

Mr. Sheldon Steiner serves as a member of our Board of Directors since April 2007. Mr. Steiner is the Chairman of our Compensation Committee, as well as a member of our Audit committee. Mr. Steiner has 52 years of both public and private accounting experience. Mr. Steiner served as managing director of RSM McGladrey and was a co-founder and principal of Millward & Co. CPAs. He currently serves as a Senior Vice President at Valley Bank in south Florida and is a member of the Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Trustees and the Broward Economic Development Council. He is a graduate of the City College of New York.

George Leibowitz has served as a member of our Board of Directors since May 2008.Mr. Leibowitz serves as a member of our Compensation Committee and Audit Committee.Mr. Leibowitz has more than forty years of experience as a senior financial officer of both public and private companies. Mr. Leibowitz is a Director of RSD Aid and Awareness Foundation, Inc., a charitable organization, since its inception in 2006. Mr. Leibowitz was Chief Financial Officer of Star Gas Partners, LP (NYSE:SGU), from April 1999 until his retirement in December 2001.Mr. Leibowitz was employed by Star Gas Partners, LP and its affiliate Petroleum Heat & Power Co. Inc. in various Senior Financial positions from November 1992 until his retirement in December 2001.From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Leibowitz was the Chief Financial Officer of Slomin's Inc., a retail heating oil dealer. From 1984 to 1985, Mr. Leibowitz was the President of Lawrence Energy Corp., a consulting and oil trading company. From 1971 to 1984, Mr. Leibowitz was Vice President of Finance and Treasurer of Meenan Oil Co., Inc. Mr. Leibowitz has been a member of the AICPA since 1962. He is a graduate of Columbia College and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Shen was a twenty year veteran of one of Fortune 500 companies, Leggett & Platt, a New York Stock Exchange listed company. He most recently served as president of Leggett & Platt Asia Pacific operations. Leggett & Platt is a diversified manufacturer that conceives, designs, and produces a broad variety of engineered components and products for customers worldwide. Dr. Shen possesses three decades of high level experience in international sales and marketing, manufacturing, mergers/acquisitions, and cross border investment. He is fluent in Chinese dialects.
