Daniel Soland has served as Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer of ViroPharma since November 2006. He joined ViroPharma from his previous post as President of Chiron Vaccines. At Chiron, Soland was most recently responsible for managing the vaccine division to annual sales of $1 billion. Prior to Chiron, he was the president and chief executive officer of Epigenesis Pharmaceuticals, a privately held biopharmaceutical company engaged in developing drugs for use in asthma, COPD and allergic rhinitis.
