Clearwire customers connect to the Internet using licensed spectrum, thus eliminating the confines of traditional cable or phone lines. Headquartered in Kirkland, Wash., the company launched its first market in August 2004 and now offers service in 16 states across the U.S. as well as in Europe.

"Mr. Morrow is a seasoned telecom industry executive with a diversified background leading wireline and wireless communications companies in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Prior to joining Clearwire on March 9, 2009, he served as President and CEO of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of PG&E, where he oversaw a business with over $13 billion in annual revenue and more than 20,000 employees. David Sach serves as Clearwire’s chief financial officer. As Clearwire’s senior vice president - chief technology officer, John Saw, Ph.D., is the chief architect of the company’s advanced wireless network infrastructure and technology, designed to deliver true wireless broadband performance in a mobile environment. As president of Clearwire, Perry Satterlee directs the company’s sales, network deployment, engineering, customer care, people development and IT operations. "Benjamin G. Wolff is co-founder and co-chairman of Clearwire, one of the world’s largest providers of personal broadband and mobile Internet services. In 2003, Wolff joined wireless pioneer Craig O.
