Dow Jones Description
In 1988 we began evangelizing Macintosh and IBM compatible desktop computers as the next generation in prepress systems. We provided a complete system: Hardware, software, servers, networks, cabling, installation and training services. Back then, making an IBM compatible computer and a Macintosh talk together on the same network was revolutionary. As desktop tools became more accepted and sophisticated we began to use databases to track and manage the digital files and workflow. CNI was the first to offer display ad tracking and editorial/pagination systems based entirely on off-the-shelf components. Our newspaper customers were the first in the country to paginate electronically to film. In 1999 AdDesk was born when we recognized that the Internet and World Wide Web weren't simply another place to publish content, but a tool that could be used to lower operating costs and improve communication. Like Desktop Publishing in 1989, the Internet and Web were revolutionizing our customer's businesses. We listen to our customers and reflect their changing needs in our products and services. To accomplish that our staff come from the industries that we serve. Our ability to speak in the same terms as our customers ensures that we don't overlook the details that make projects successful. Since 1989 we have been 18 to 24 months ahead of other vendors, offering forward thinking technologies that improve product quality and communication while lowering costs. ...
