As executive vice president and chief financial officer for CONSOL Energy and CNX Gas, William J. Lyons can address inquiries on the company’s financial status and corporate outlook, as well as its strategic plans. He also is responsible for CONSOL’s human resources and investor relations functions.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. A 1970 graduate cum laude of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, he served two years of active duty assignment as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force before beginning his professional career. In 1978, he obtained a Master of Science degree in accounting from Duquesne University.
Lyons began his career with CONSOL Energy in 1976 as an accountant and served in various positions in the Controller’s Department until his election in 1995 as vice president and controller. The CONSOL Energy board of directors elected him senior vice president and chief financial officer in December 2000.
In 2002, he was given Duquesne University’s A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration/John F. Donahue Graduate School of Business Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. In 2004, he was named an A.J. Palumbo School of Business Administration Distinguished Accounting Alumnus also from Duquesne University.
Lyons is a member of numerous professional organizations: the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants; the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Accountants; the Institute of Management Accountants; the American Accounting Association; and Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor society for AACSB accredited business programs. He serves on the Duquesne University Accounting Advisory Board, and is a member of the Finance
Council of Holy Child parish.
Patricia A. Hammick was elected to the Board in April 2003 and was appointed Lead Director in May 2004. She was an adjunct professor at George Washington University from 2002 to 2003. Ms. Hammick served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Communications and a member of the management committee of Columbia Energy Group from 1998 to 2000 and was Vice President, Corporate Strategic Planning, for Columbia Energy Group from 1997 to 1998. From 1983 to 1996, she served as the Chief Operations Officer for the National Gas Supply Association in Washington, D.C., and held a management position with Gulf Oil Exploration and Production Company from 1979 to 1983. Prior to 1979, Ms. Hammick worked for the American Petroleum Institute, the Center for Naval Analysis and the Naval Weapons Center. She currently serves as a director of Consol Energy, Inc. and SNC-Lavalin Group, Inc.
J. Brett Harvey is president and chief executive officer of CONSOL Energy and chief executive officer of CNX Gas. He can speak authoritatively on all aspects of the corporation. He is also a member of CONSOL Energy's Board of Directors and chairman of the CNX Gas Corporation Board of Directors. Prior to joining CONSOL, Harvey was president and chief executive officer of PacifiCorp Energy Inc., a subsidiary of PacifiCorp, one of the country's largest electric utility companies. In addition, he served as vice president of PacifiCorp Fuels Department and president and chief executive officer of Interwest Mining Company. A fourth-generation coal miner, Harvey began his business career in 1979 with Kaiser Steel Company as a longwall supervisor at the company's Sunnyside Mine in Utah. He advanced to mining superintendent in 1980 and became general manager of the mine in 1982. Two years later he was elected vice president and general manager, Kaiser Coal of New Mexico. In 1986, he joined Utah Power & Light Company as a director of technical sales. He was promoted to general manager-mining division a year later, and to vice president-fuels and mining in 1988. Harvey was elected vice president mining of PacifiCorp in 1990. He was named electric operations vice president in 1992, president and chief executive officer of Interwest in 1993, vice president of PacifiCorp Fuels in 1993, and president and chief executive officer of PacifiCorp Energy in 1995. He became president and chief executive officer of CONSOL on January 1, 1998. Harvey is a member of the coal industry advisory board of the International Energy Agency, chairman of the Bituminous Coal Operators' Association Board of Directors, and is a member of the Leadership Council of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. In addition, Harvey is a member of the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority, the National Coal Council, Waterways Council, Inc., and The Conservation Fund. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America and a director and past chairman of the Greater Pittsburgh Council of the Boy Scouts. He serves on the board of directors of the Duquesne Club and is a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Chairman's Council. Harvey also serves on the Allegheny Technologies Incorporated Board of Directors and the Barrick Gold Corporation Board of Directors. A native of Utah, he holds a bachelor's degree in mining engineering from the University of Utah. In February 2008, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Utah Alumni Association. Also in 2008, he was awarded an honorary doctorate from Duquesne University. In 2000, he was a recipient of the University of Utah's John E. Wilson Distinguished Alumnus Award.

age 63, joined the CONSOL Energy Board of Directors in October 2005. He currently serves as a member of the finance and health, safety and environmental committees. Mr. Hardesty is president emeritus and professor of law at West Virginia University (WVU). He was president of WVU from 1995 to 2007. While serving as president, he was also a member of the National Security Higher Education Advisory Board. In addition, Mr. Hardesty served as the permanent chair of WVU’s affiliated research corporation, teaching hospital and the hospital’s parent health care system of hospitals. He also serves on the board of numerous professional and civic organizations. Prior to his career in academia, Mr. Hardesty was a partner in the law firm of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love in Charleston, W. Va., where he practiced in the areas of state and local taxation, corporate, banking and administrative law. Mr. Hardesty was also state tax commissioner during Senator John D. Rockefeller IV’s first term as governor of West Virginia (1977-1980). He also served as chairman of the National 4-H Council, a director and officer in the Big East Conference, and a member of the Bowl Championship Series Presidential Oversight Committee, as well as a founding director of the Blanchettee Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute.
Tom Hoffman is responsible for public and community relations for CONSOL Energy. Hoffman is the company's chief communications officer to all external audiences and assists other department heads with internal communication. Hoffman also shares responsibility for developing and communicating CONSOL's strategic objectives in government and business policy. He is chairman of the Public Relations Committee for the Pennsylvania Coal Association and a member of the West Virginia Coal Association Public Relations Committee as well as the National Mining Association Communications Committee. He was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell to serve as a member of the Mine Families First Response and Communications Advisory Council of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, a member of the President's Leadership Council at Fairmont State University in Fairmont, W. Va., and a member of the Board of the Washington County Community Foundation. Hoffman is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the National Investor Relations Institute, and the Public Relations Society of America. He was named the Pittsburgh Renaissance Communicator of the Year for 2008 by the Public Relations Society of America. Hoffman is a past chairman of the North Dakota Lignite Council, a past board member of the Lignite Council and the Montana Coal Council, and a past chairman of the Government Relations Committee of the National Coal Association. He is past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute. In addition, he served for nine years as a trustee of Waynesburg College. He served on the board of directors of the Upper St. Clair Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a member of the Recycling Task Force for Upper St. Clair Township. He is a past member of the Board of Greene County School-to-Work, a former member of the Green County Industrial Development, Inc., and a past member of the Board of the Regional Environmental Center in southwestern Pennsylvania. Hoffman is a native of Steelton, Pa. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from Dickinson College (Carlisle, Pa.) and a Master of Science degree in geology from the University of Wisconsin, where he was awarded the Stanley Tyler Award for outstanding teaching. He attended the Darden School of Business Executive Program at the University of Virginia in 1984. Hoffman joined CONSOL in 1974 as a manager of public relations for its Western Region. In 1977, he was promoted to coordinator - government affairs and transferred to Pittsburgh. In September 1982, Hoffman was promoted to director - federal government affairs and transferred to Washington, DC.

William D. Stanhagen has been President of CNX Land Resources Inc. since November 2000. Prior to that time, he served as Vice President/General Manager of CONSOL Energy s Real Estate/Land Group. Mr. Stanhagen joined CONSOL Energy in 1977.

Since August 2005, he has been president – CONSOL Energy Sales Company following a position as vice president – sales. Mr. Pusateri joined CONSOL as an accountant in April 1974, holding various positions including supervisor accounting services and staff assistant. He transferred to the marketing department in 1977 and held progressive responsibilities as sales contract administrator, sales coordinator, and district/general sales manager for both the Pittsburgh and Cleveland sales offices.

age 70, has served on the board of directors of CONSOL Energy since November 2003 and a director of CNX Gas since June 30, 2005, the date of its formation. He currently serves as chairman of the health, safety and environmental committee and as a member of the finance committees of CONSOL Energy. Mr. Altmeyer served as president and chief executive officer of Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Inc. of West Virginia, Ohio, and Virginia from 1972 until 2007, at which time he became chairman of Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Inc. He has also been president of Altmeyer Realty, a real estate holding company, and of Martin-Steadfast Insurance Company since 1972. Since 1987, Mr. Altmeyer has served on the board of directors of WesBanco, Inc., a multi-state bank holding company, and currently serves on its audit committee. Mr. Altmeyer is also a member of the executive committee of the Wheeling Hospital Board of Directors, president of the American Legion Home Corporation, vice chairman of the Chambers Foundation and a director of the General Douglas MacArthur Foundation.
age 61, joined the CONSOL Energy Board in March 2006. Mr. Mills currently serves as a member of the audit and the compensation committees. In January 2008, Mr. Mills became a member of the board of directors and audit, conflicts and risk management committees of Regency GP, LLC, the general partner of Regency GP, LP, the general partner of Regency Energy Partners LP, a natural gas gathering, processing and transportation master limited partnership. He also serves on the board of directors of Cal Dive International Inc., a marine contractor providing manned diving, derrick, pipelay and pipe burial services to the offshore oil and natural gas industry, and serves on both the audit, compensation and corporate governance and nominating committees. Mr. Mills served as the chairman of the board of directors of Horizon Offshore, Inc., a marine construction company, from September 2004 until December 2007 when it was acquired by Cal Dive International Inc. Mr. Mills was the chief financial officer of Marathon Oil Corporation, an integrated energy company, from January 2002 until his retirement in December 2003.
Joseph T. Williams, Director, age 69, has been a Director of CNX Gas since July 10, 2006. He currently serves as chairman of CONSOL Energy's finance committee and a member of CONSOL Energy's nominating and corporate governance committee and has been a director of CONSOL Energy since January 2004. Mr. Williams is a retired oil and natural gas industry executive who has held positions as chairman or chief executive officer or both for NASDAQ, American, and NYSE listed companies. Most recently, from October 2000 to December 2001, Mr. Williams served as chairman of DevX Energy, Inc., an independent energy company. From July 1998 to August 1999, Mr. Williams was the president and chief executive officer of MCN Investment Corporation, a subsidiary of MCN Energy, Inc. Mr. Williams spent eighteen years with Chevron Corp. where he held management positions with increasing responsibility in both domestic and international operations. His executive positions after leaving Chevron included assignments at Mitchell Energy and Development Corp., Lear Petroleum Corporation, and PG&E Resources Company where, as president and chief executive officer, he oversaw the acquisition of several significant companies in building a mid-size independent oil and gas exploration and production company. He was a member of a number of industry organizations and was president of the Dallas Petroleum Club and chairman of the Dallas Wildcat Committee. Mr. Williams is also a member of both the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the 25 Year Club of the Petroleum Industry. Mr. Williams received a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas in 1960.
Nicholas J. DeIuliis was a Director and President and Chief Executive Officer of CNX Gas Corporation from June 30, 2005 to January 16, 2009, when he became President and Chief Operating Officer of CNX Gas Corporation and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CONSOL Energy. From November 2004 until August 2005 he was the Senior Vice President Strategic Planning of CONSOL Energy. Prior to that, Mr. DeIuliis served as Vice President Strategic Planning from April 2002 until November 2004, Director Corporate Strategy from October 2001 until April 2002, Manager Strategic Planning from January 2001 until October 2001 and Supervisor Process Engineering from April 1999 until January 2001
age 60, rejoined the CONSOL Energy Board in January 2009. He currently serves as a member of the audit and compensation committees. Mr. Baxter also serves as a director of CNX Gas, and was the chairman of the board from June 30, 2005 until January 16, 2009. With respect to the CNX Gas Board, he currently serves as a member of the audit committee and has also served on the finance committee. Mr. Baxter is president of Stan Johnson Company, a nationally recognized leader in commercial real estate brokerage specializing in single-tenant properties. He was chief financial officer and executive vice president of the Tulsa-based energy conglomerate, Mapco Inc., until March 1998 when it merged with The Williams Company. During his 18-year career at Mapco, Mr. Baxter held a number of officer level positions including chief information officer and senior vice president of strategic planning. Prior to his career at Mapco, he held a number of financial positions with Williams Energy Company, a subsidiary of The Williams Company.
age 67, joined the CONSOL Energy Board in January 2004. He currently serves as chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committees and as a member of the health, safety and environmental committee. Since November 2007, Mr. Davis has been a director of AbitibiBowater Inc., which produces a broad range of forest products marketed around the world, and serves on its governance and compensation committees. Mr. Davis was a director of Abitibi Consolidated Inc., which produces newsprint and commercial printing papers, and served on its audit, and nominating and governance committees. He currently serves on the board of trustees of Syracuse University and on the Metropolitan Development Foundation of Central New York, where he serves as chairman and chief executive officer. Mr. Davis was also the chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, an electricity and natural gas utility located in upstate New York from May 1993 to February 2002. Following the sale of Niagara Mohawk in February 2002 and until his retirement in April 2003, Mr. Davis served as chairman of National Grid USA and as an executive director of National Grid (UK), owner and operator of the electricity transmission network in England and Wales.
age 53, has served on the CONSOL Energy Board since January 2004. He currently serves as chairman of the compensation committee and a member of the nominating and corporate governance committee. Since 1993, Mr. Powell has also been a director of Cytec Industries, a global specialty chemicals and materials company, where he chairs the governance committee and has served on the audit committee. He has also served on the board of directors of International Executive Service Corps, a nonprofit economic development organization, since 1999. Until May 2007, Mr. Powell was a managing director of Williams Street Advisors, a New York City-based merchant banking boutique. Mr. Powell resigned from William Street Advisors to establish a family office, 535 Partners LLC where he serves as managing partner.
