Martin Cohen is co-chairman and co-chief executive officer of Cohen & Steers, Inc. Established in 1986, the firm is a leading global investment manager specializing in REITs, large cap value and listed infrastructure portfolios. It serves individual and institutional investors through a wide range of open-end funds, closed-end funds and separate accounts. Cohen & Steers is a New York Stock Exchange listed company with offices in New York, Seattle, Brussels, London and Hong Kong.
Mr. Cohen is considered to be one of the nation’s leading experts in real estate securities investment. In 1980, while a vice president at Citibank, he organized and managed the Citibank Real Estate Stock Fund for that bank’s pension clients. In 1985, while a senior vice president at National Securities and Research Corporation, he and Robert Steers organized and managed the nation’s first real estate securities mutual fund. He is often quoted and lectures frequently on the subject of investing in real estate securities. In 2001, he was the recipient of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts Industry Achievement Award.
Mr. Cohen received a Bachelor of Science degree from the City College of New York and worked as a biochemist before attending New York University where he earned his MBA degree. He lives in New York City and plays classical guitar in his limited spare time.

From 1977 to 1982, Mr. Steers served as a securities analyst and Vice President / Portfolio Manager of Citibank’s Emerging Growth Stock Fund.

Joseph M. Harvey, president, is chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager for all of Cohen & Steers' portfolios and a member of the firm’s investment committee. He has 22 years of experience. Prior to joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Harvey was a vice president with Robert A. Stanger Co. for five years, where he was an analyst specializing in real estate and related securities for the firm's research and consulting activities. Previously, Mr. Rovers was a vice president for two and a half years at Security Capital Group in Brussels, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of portfolio strategies. Edmond D. Villani served as vice chairman of Deutsche Asset Management, North America until December 31, 2005.
