Mark Garrigus joined Cole Taylor Bank in October of 2000 as Executive Vice President of Credit Policy. Mark oversees the entire credit process of Cole Taylor Bank and the overall credit quality of the loan portfolio. In this role, he supervises the establishment and implementation of Loan Policy, adequacy of the Loan Loss Reserve (and the Loan Loss Provision). Before joining Cole Taylor, Mark gained extensive credit experience through 20+ years in various positions of increasing responsibility with the First National Bank of Chicago, First Chicago Corporation, and First Card (all now part of JP Morgan Chase). In addition, he has served as EVP and Chief Credit Officer of Sanwa Business Credit Corporation (since acquired by Fleet Business Credit, subsequently acquired by Bank of America) and SVP Chief Credit Officer with ORIX, USA. Mark demonstrates the kind of attributes in terms of innovation, partnership and customer service orientation that are vital to the success of our centralized credit and servicing functions. This is a significant part of the strategic plan of the bank in the development of new business, while mitigating risk and serving our customers. Mark received a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance/Accounting from University of Illinois. In addition, Mark has attained the CPA designation.

With more than 25 years of banking experience, Bruce W. Taylor, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for setting strategic direction for Taylor Capital Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: TAYC) and Cole Taylor Bank, the ninth-largest commercial bank in metropolitan Chicago. Since joining the family-owned and operated bank in 1978, Bruce has been instrumental in redefining the company’s commercial banking specialist strategy and developing key initiatives. In the late 1980’s, Bruce was involved in managing the company’s transition to branch banking, making Cole Taylor Bank the first branch banking holding company in Illinois. Bruce became President of Cole Taylor Bank in 1994 and in that capacity directed the Bank’s business units. Bruce continues to develop Cole Taylor Bank’s sales and service culture through training and development programs, the introduction of new products and services, and more effective use of technology. Bruce has successfully helped build Cole Taylor Bank into Chicago's largest independent bank. Bruce earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. He is a member of the World President's Organization, Midwest Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Past Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Center for Family Health, Immediate Past Chairman of the Illinois Bankers Association, and a Director of MTL Insurance Company.

Mr. Spaeth was elected as a director in May 2008. He served as president of Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Foundation form 2002 to 2007 and as the president and chief executive officer of Highland Park (Illinois) Hospital from 1983 to 2002. He is a director of Cole Taylor Bank and also serves as a director of several private companies. Mr. Spaeth is a member of the board of commissioners of the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and was formerly a member of the board of trustees of the American Hospital Association and chairman of the board of trustees of the Illinois Hospital Association. He received a B.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University and a M.B.A. degree from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
