Michael J. McConnell was recently appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer of Collectors Universe, Inc., effective March 16, 2009. From 1995 to 2007, Mr. McConnell was a Managing Director of Shamrock Capital Advisors, Inc. and served as a member of that firm's Executive Committee. Prior to joining Shamrock in 1995, Mr. McConnell held various positions at PepsiCo, Merrill Lynch and Kidder Peabody. Mr. McConnell currently serves on the board of Collectors Universe, Inc and Best International Pty Ltd. Inc. and formerly served on the boards of Ansell Limited, Nuplex Industries, Force Corporation, iPass Inc., and Port-link International. Mr. McConnell also serves on the Board of Governors of Opportunity International, the La Canada Educational Foundation, and the Finance Committee of the La Canada Presbyterian Church. Mr. McConnell received his B.A. in economics from Harvard University and his MBA degree (with distinction Shermet Scholar) from the Darden School of the University of Virginia.

JOSEPH WALLACE has been the Company's Corporate Controller since June 2004 and Vice President of Finance since November 2004. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Wallace was Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of STM Wireless, Inc. a publicly held developer, manufacturer and marketer of satellite communication products and services. He left STM Wireless following its filing, in February 2003, for protection under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Wallace is a CPA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, of Ireland.

Michael W. Sherman has served as Executive Vice President of Professional Coin Grading Service and Chief Operating Officer of Professional Stamp Experts since 1999. For the prior 18 years, he held various management positions, including most recently as Vice President of Operations, with Heritage Capital Corporation, a full-service collectibles wholesaler, retailer and auctioneer. Mr. Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mr Allen currently is the Lead Director of Steinway Musical Instruments, (LVB:NYSE), one of the world's largest manufacturer of musical instruments and is a director and Chairman of Collectors Universe (CLCT:NASDAQ), the leading provider of value added services to dealers and collectors of high-end collectibles. He serves as a director of Brooks Automation, Inc. (BRKS:NASDAQ), that provides integrated tool and factory automation solutions for the global semiconductor and related industries. Additionally, he serves as a director and member of the Executive Committee of LKQ Corporation (LKQX:NASDAQ), the largest nationwide provider of recycled OEM automotive parts and a director of Avantair Corporation, the only publicly-traded pure play fractional aircraft company. Mr. Allen was Vice Chairman and a director of The DeWolfe Companies until it was acquired by Cendant Corporation in September of 2002. Additionally, he was a director and member of the Executive Committee of Swiss Army Brands until it was acquired by Victorinox Corporation in August of 2002. He provided the original financing for Blockbuster Entertainment, was their founding director and served on the Board until the company was acquired by Viacom/Paramount in September of 1994. Mr. Allen is a Director of the Massachusetts General Hospital and the President's Council. He served on the Board of Trustees of Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut and is a member of the Board of Advisors of Vespoli, USA and Starvest, LLC. Mr. Allen is the Founder and President of the Corporate Directors Club, an organization for directors of publicly held companies, dedicated to educating and informing its members on important and relevant board of director issues and The Executive Life Club, an affinity group company for corporate executives and senior partners of service firms. A graduate of Harvard University Class of 1967, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Friends of Harvard Football and is a member of the Harvard University Visiting Committee on University Resources as well as the Harvard Major Gifts Committee.

A.J. Bert Moyer has been a director of the Company since February 2004. Mr. Moyer, a business consultant and private investor, served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of QAD Inc., a publicly held software company that is a provider of enterprise resource planning software applications, from March 1998 until February 2000, and he subsequently served as a consultant to QAD, assisting in the Sales Operations of the Americas Region. From February to July 2000, he served as president of the commercial division of Profit Recovery Group International, Inc. (now known as PRG-Schultz International, Inc.), a publicly held provider of recovery audit services. Prior to joining QAD in 1998, Mr. Moyer served as Chief Financial Officer of Allergan Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company based in Irvine, California, from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Moyer also serves on the board of Collectors Universe, Inc., a company engaged in grading, auctioning and selling high-end collectibles, Virco Manufacturing Corporation, which designs and produces furniture for the commercial and education markets, and LaserCard Corporation, a manufacturer of optical data storage products.

Bruce A. Stevens is an Industry Partner with Cordova, Smart & Williams, LLC, a private equity firm that focuses its investments on lower middle market companies that are engaged in businesses with which the partners of the firm have had operating experience. From 1985 to January 2008, Mr. Stevens was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Steinway & Sons, a wholly owned subsidiary of Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc., which is the maker of fine pianos with manufacturing operations in the United States and Germany and operational facilities in China, Japan and the UK. He also served as a member of the board of directors of Steinway Musical Instruments, Inc. from 1996 until his retirement in January 2008. Before joining Steinway & Sons, Mr. Stevens was employed by Polaroid Corporation for nearly 18 years where he held various positions in both its domestic and international divisions. Mr. Stevens currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He also has served on the boards of numerous industry and music education organizations, such as the Piano Manufacturers Association International, American Music Conference, Music Teacher National Association, New England Conservatory, Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence. Mr. Stevens earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Stevens also has earned a Professional Director Certification issued by ISS Governance Services.

Van Simmons is a life-long entrepreneur, collector, and collectibles dealer. He has been a rare coin collector since age 12 and a rare coin dealer since 1979. Van has also been a dealer in sportscards and memorabilia, rare firearms and Western memorabilia, and collectible knives. His collecting interests include antique golf clubs, English pottery, Bowie knives, American and French art glass, Western Americana, Indian baskets, and Gold Rush memorabilia. In 1979, he began buying coins from David Hall, and by 1981 they had become business partners. Since that time, Van has become the number one coin salesman of all time, acquiring over $250 million worth of rare coins for collectors and investors.
