Andy McDonald joined Columbia Bank on June 1, 2004 as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. Prior to joining Columbia Bank, Mr. McDonald was Senior Vice President and Team Leader at US Bank for their South Sound Commercial Banking Group. In 18 years of banking, he has served as a Team Leader for a Media and Telecommunications Banking Group, as well as a Senior Credit Officer and Relationship Manager. Mr. McDonald has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Washington, and a Masters in Business Administration from Notre Dame University, where he was accepted into the accelerated MBA Program and graduated with Honors. Mr. McDonald is currently a Board Member of the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, Pierce/Thurston County Junior Achievement, and the South Sound Boys and Girls Club. He was the Vice Chair of the Chamber's 2003 Total Resource Campaign. He served on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters from 1997 to 2002 and was a Founding Board Member of the American Cancer Society's Vertical Challenge Campaign.

Chris Gruenfeld is a team leader in Columbia Bank's Seattle Commercial Banking office. Chris's first commercial banking job was with Rainier National Bank, Seattle , Washington , in 1985, where he completed his credit training. Since then, he has held general commercial banking and management positions with Security Pacific, West One and Washington Mutual. Chris has led highly successful commercial banking teams since 2001. Chris's industry expertise includes equipment leasing, manufacturing, distribution, construction, seafood/commercial fishing, commercial real estate, law firms, accounting firms, finance companies and non-profit groups. Chris graduated from University of Idaho , Moscow , Idaho in 1982 with a finance degree and he is proud to be an Idaho Vandal.
Patrick McMenamin began his career in finance as project manager with Burlington Northern Railroad's real estate subsidiary in 1982. Pat later joined Seafirst Bank / Bank of America in 1986 as a senior commercial loan workout officer, progressing to a commercial lending credit examiner before taking a position as Vice President and Relationship Manager for middle market commercial lending clients. Pat joined Washington Mutual Bank in 1998 as a Relationship Manager, transferring many of his previous Bank of America customers to Washington Mutual Bank. Pat has again enjoyed transitioning his customers to Columbia Bank over the past two years after Washington Mutual Bank decided to exit the middle market commercial lending business in middle of 2004. His customer base spans a wide array of industries and includes commercial contractors, cold storage operators, commercial laundry equipment sales and operations, health clubs, marine contractors, restaurants, non-profit organizations, and a particular emphasis on commercial real estate owners and operators. Pat has also developed a particular specialty in tax-exempt public and private activity bond financing, as well as SBA 504 loans. Pat graduated from the University of California-Santa Barbara, and is an actively licensed real estate broker in the state of Washington . Pat enjoys snow and water skiing with his wife Meredith and their 3 children Patrick (age 12), Grace (9), and Liam (5).

Dean earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Washington in 1990, and has held his Series 6 and 63 Licenses since 1996. Active in Scouting and a member of the Tacoma Rotary, Dean lives in Puyallup with wife and two sons.
Kevin Meabon brings energy and zeal to the traditional commercial banking experience and has been instrumental in opening Columbia Bank’s doors to new industries in the alternative investments field.
He began his career in commercial banking with Washington Mutual, Seattle, Washington, in 2003, where he quickly advanced to Assistant Relationship Manager. In 2004, Kevin successfully transitioned to Columbia Bank with a team of former Washington Mutual commercial bankers. He is currently marketing to build upon his existing diverse customer base.
Kevin has in-depth experience in underwriting, structuring, and managing a complex portfolio with industry expertise focused in finance, investments, contractors, distribution, seafood/commercial fishing, and commercial real estate and construction.
He has a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Washington. Kevin is a member of Risk Management Association, Construction Financial Management Association, and is actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club of Snohomish County.
Personal hobbies include spending time with family and friends outdoors including boating, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Kevin currently resides in Snohomish County with his wife, Kristina, and his extremely active Golden Retriever, Kai.
Kit Gerwels began his career with Washington Mutual in 2001, completing the bank's comprehensive credit training program. He began as a commercial credit analyst, underwriting and managing middle market commercial portfolios.
Prior to coming to Columbia Bank in 2004 as an Assistant Vice President, Kit owned & operated Aston Showers, heading the residential spa company’s Pacific Northwest sales division. This experience built upon Kit’s manufacturing and distribution background. He spent his time in Southern China working with the Company’s manufacturer and developed distribution agreements with wholesalers and retailers in the Northwest.
Kit holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Washington Business School. He is a member of the Construction Finance Management Association, Master Builder’s Association, Risk Management Association and the American Electronics Association.
Kit is an avid sports fan. While not working, he attends Huskies football and basketball games. He also plays basketball frequently and enjoys hiking at Tiger Mountain and in the Anacortes forest lands, the community in which he grew up. Kit lives with his fiancé in Mill Creek.
Mr. Roberts joined Columbia 's executive management team in April 2007 as EVP and Human Resources Director. He brought with him over 30 years of strategic and functional experience across the full-range of Human Resource management activities at both the regional and corporate level. He has over 20 years of involvement with various community organizations within Tacoma-Pierce County , including 10 years as board member of the United Way of Pierce County and advisory committees for Pacific Lutheran University and University of Puget Sound . Mr. Roberts has been an active member and contributor to the Society for Human Resource Management and the Human Resource Planning Society.
Ed earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in both Economics and Finance from Central Washington University. When not working, Ed enjoys spending time with his wife and two teen-age sons, who keep him very busy outside of the office.
Kevin McIntosh is a Senior Financial Consultant with CB Financial Services offering his clients over ten years of experience in the financial services and investment industry. His previous positions include a Client Executive from Russell Investments and a Relationship Manager at Greene Wealth Management. Kevin believes the most important aspect of working with clients is helping them define and quantify their long-term financial goals. He makes a priority of understanding each client's complete financial picture when developing their wealth management plan and crafts each plan in a manner that creates the highest probability of success. Kevin's investment philosophy is one of diversification and intelligent asset allocation. He believes very strongly in regular communication and the importance of establishing trust, accountability, and building long-term valued relationships. When working with his clients he uses a needs-based, holistic approach developed in collaboration with a team of professionals including Columbia Bank's Retail Bankers and Commercial Lenders. His experience in providing comprehensive solutions through a financial planning approach adds further depth to the highly skilled CB Financial Services team. Kevin is a graduate of Wayland Baptist University in Plainview Texas and holds an MBA as well as a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education.
Evans Q. "Tex" Whitney joined Columbia Bank in 1993 at the beginning of the Company's expansion into Tacoma-Pierce County. An Executive Vice President, he directs the Bank's Human Resources and Employee Development programs. Previously, Mr. Whitney was Senior Vice President and Human Resources Director of Puget Sound Bancorp, which had approximately 3,000 employees. His banking career has spanned over 35 years, concentrating on retail banking and human resources, with extensive experience in branch banking, operations and human resources. Mr. Whitney's community involvement has included his long-standing membership in the Tacoma Urban League, having previously served as Board Chair for that organization. He is currently an active member on the MultiCare Health Foundation and the Tacoma Safe Streets Board of Directors, having previously served as Chairman for both organizations. He has been active in the Washington State Drug Free Business Initiative, the Pierce County United Way, Zoobilee, the Tacoma Chamber of Commerce and the Tacoma Public Schools Business Partnership. He is a graduate of the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Political Science, and is a graduate of the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin.

Mr. Goldberg, 69, has been a shareholder of SaltChuk Resources, Inc., Seattle, Washington, since 1982 and is currently a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of that company.
