Ernest F. Hart is Assistant Vice President of Employee and Labor Relations at Columbia University. He is lead negotiator for the University which has 15 collective bargaining units. In addition to being an alternate member of the New York City Board of Collective Bargaining, he is Chair of the New York City Equal Employment Practices Commission, Chair of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation Personnel Review Board and a member of the Character and Fitness Committee- Supreme Court Appellate Division, 1st Department.

Carolyn is the Associate Director of Residential Program at Columbia University. She has also worked in Residence Life at Manhattan School of Music and received a Master's Degree at Michigan State University. Sometimes called the "cheerleader of the Community Principles Initiative" at Columbia, Carolyn takes great pride in talking about civility and community principles. She's found it best to use good humor and positive energy to focus on how students and staff can be empowered to make their environments and experiences more civil (and a little more fun, as well).

Dr. Paul Gordon is the Associate Medical Director of the ALS Research Center at Columbia University. He was born and raised on a cattle ranch in rural Arizona, and after graduating from the University of Arizona with highest honors, he trained in neurology at the Neurological Institute of Columbia University. He holds dual fellowships in Neuromuscular Disorders (The Cleveland Clinic Foundation) and Movement Disorders (Columbia University). His areas of research include clinical trials, clinical interventions and experimental therapeutics in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He is board certified in neurology and physiology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in electromyography from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He holds active memberships in the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Movement Disorder Society. He was previously the director of the neurodegenerative diseases section at the University of New Mexico. In April 2003 he was appointed Associate Medical Director of Columbia University's Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Research Center and Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Department of Neurology.

Betsy Pfeffer, MD. is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University and is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Betsy is assessing our children's health.

Mr. Muller is a Middle School Principal at the United Nations International School in New York City. Prior to his current position at UNIS, Mr. Muller spent 6 years at the American International School in Bucharest as a Secondary School Principal. He was born and raised in Windhoek, Namibiabegan, and began his career teaching high school Mathematics in Cape Town, and English as a foreign language to adults in London. Mr. Muller entered the world of International Schools as a high school English and Mathematics teacher in Paris, and then as a teacher and administrator in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Mr. Muller has chaired several committees for the European Council of International Schools, conducted workshops and accreditation visits for the International Baccalaureate Organization, and is presently writing his doctoral disseration at Columbia University.

Mr. Schlank is a Founder and Managing Partner of Savanna. At Savanna, Mr. Schlank is in charge of construction and redevelopment and shares responsibilities for asset management, sales and marketing and acquisitions. Mr. Schlank has overseen the acquisition and redevelopment of over 35 real estate assets, comprising over six million square feet of space, including raw land development sites, apartments, office buildings, industrial to residential conversions, retail and warehouse/distribution properties. Prior to founding Savanna, Mr. Schlank was a project manager for the Westside Federation for Senior Housing, a New York based developer of low-income housing. Mr. Schlank received an MS in Real Estate Development from the Columbia School of Architecture and a BA in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Schlank is an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Columbia University where he teaches a seminar in Real Estate Finance to graduate students in the Columbia Architecture School's Real Estate Master's Degree Program.

Davis Jenkins, senior consultant, is a senior research associate at the Community College Research Center at Teachers College, Columbia University. He conducts research on how to increase access to economic opportunity by disadvantaged youths and adults. A key focus of his work is finding ways to strengthen the capacity of public postsecondary institutions, particularly community colleges, to educate economically and educationally disadvantaged individuals for gainful employment in a knowledge economy. Currently, Davis is directing a series of studies that use longitudinal student unit record data collected by state agencies to chart the paths of students within and across educational systems and identify the determinants of educational and labor market success. He is also co-directing a study of community college institutional effectiveness with CCRC director Thomas Bailey. His recent publications include: Building Pathways to Success for Low-Skill Adult Students: Lessons for Community College Policy and Practice from a Statewide Longitudinal Tracking Study, with David Prince of the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, and What Community College Policies And Practices Are Effective In Promoting Student Success? A Study of High- And Low-Impact Institutions. His current work at CCRC is funded by the Lumina Foundation for Education, through the Achieving the Dream: Community Colleges Count initiative, and the Ford Foundation, as part of the Community College Bridges to Opportunity project. Davis is one of the originators of the "career pathways" concept, and advises colleges and state and local agencies on aligning public resources for education, workforce and human services to support educational and economic advancement for individuals and better address regional labor force needs. Davis has over 20 years of experience as a researcher, evaluator, consultant and program manager on projects related to education for employment in the U.S. and abroad. He has a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from Carnegie Mellon University.

Elaine Pagels is Harrington Spear Paine Professor of Religion at Princeton University. Professor Pagels received her doctorate from Harvard University in 1970 and has taught at Barnard College, where she chaired the Department of Religion, and at Columbia University. She was responsible for editing several of the texts from Nag Hammadi and has written five other books: The Johannine Gospel in Gnostic Exegesis; The Gnostic Paul: The Gnostic Exegesis of the Pauline Letters; The Gnostic Gospel; Adam, Eve, and the Serpent; and The Origin of Satan. The Gnostic Gospels won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the National Book Award. Professor Pagels was awarded a MacArthur fellowship in 1984. She lives and teaches in Princeton, New Jersey.

Eric R. Kandel, M.D., Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board and Co-Founder. Dr. Kandel is a University Professor of Neurobiology at Columbia University and Senior Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He is the recipient of the 2000 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering work in the field of learning and memory. He is the founding Director of the Center for Neurobiology and Behavior at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a distinguished scientist in the field of memory and learning, and has received over forty scientific awards, including the Albert Lasker Award in Basic Medical Research for his pioneering work and major contributions to the molecular biology of memory acquisition and storage. He also received the Squibb Award for Distinguished Achievement in Neuroscience Research, the Distinguished Service Award of the American Psychiatric Association, and the National Medal of Science. He has published more than than 400 peer-reviewed scientific articles on the mechanisms involved in memory and learning and is the author or co-author of seven books, including Memory, From Mind to Molecules and Principles of Neural Science, the standard textbook in the field. Dr. Kandel received his M.D. from New York University. He majored in history and literature at Harvard College.

Erin L Olivo, PhD, MPH is the Director of the Columbia Integrative Medicine Program and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medical Psychology at the Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. She earned master's degrees in both Public Health and Social Work and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Dr. Olivo has intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She maintains a psychotherapy practice in New York City. Dr. Olivo promotes the use of mind-body strategies in both medical and mental health settings. She has a particular interest in researching and working with people with chronic illnesses such as cardiac disease and cancer. In her clinical practice she specializes in integrating mindfulness into cognitive behavioral therapy with patients diagnosed with depression, anxiety and personality disorders.

Ms. Stecher has been an Executive Vice President of Goldman Sachs and our General Counsel and co-head of the Legal Department since December 2000. From 1994 to 2000, she was head of the firm's Tax Department, over which she continues to have senior oversight responsibility. She is also a trustee of Columbia University.

Dr. Galanter is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Psychophysics Laboratory at Columbia University. He is a pioneer educator and scientist in the field of technology in education. His distinguished academic career also includes professorships and fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Washington, and Harvard University. He has authored more than 100 books and articles on psychophysics, perception, motivation, memory, early learning, and computer-related pedagogy. Prof. Galanter's publications on education include The Ideal Teacher, The Mechanization of Teaching, Two Models of a Student, and many others, including Plans and the Structure of Behavior, which sparked the cognitive revolution in psychology. He established the Children's Computer School in New York in 1981, and subsequently published the best-selling Kids & Computers series in 1983. Prof. Galanter has directed projects for NASA, FAA, Office of Naval Research, U.S. Army, and the National Science Foundation. Prof. Galanter was recognized by NASA with the Distinguished Scientist Research Award. Prof. Galanter and his daughter, Michelle Galanter, co-invented and hold the patent for the Galanter Educational Evaluation Lattice, which is licensed exclusively to Children's Progress. Dr. Harold Sackeim, PhD is Professor of Psychiatry and Radiology at Columbia University and Chief of Biological Psychiatry at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Sackeim is an international authority on the conduct and analysis of brain imaging studies, having conducted pioneering studies since 1982 of cerebral blood flow and metabolism in such disorders as depression, cerebrovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Lyme disease.

John Allegrante, Ph.D., President and CEO, is professor of health education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and adjunct professor of public health at the Mailman School of Public Health. In addition, he is an adjunct professor of behavioral science in medicine at the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University and a senior scientist at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Allegrante is a past president and Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Public Health Education, a former W. K. Kellogg Foundation Fellow, and was a Pew Health Policy Fellow at the RAND/UCLA Center for Health Policy Study. He completed his undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Cortland and holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Hogan is a member of the Management Committee and assists in operations, trading, systems and administration. Prior to joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Hogan held senior operations and technology positions in the financial industry. Recently, he was a senior consultant with Blue Cod Technologies, a financial technology consulting company. Prior to that he held Chief Information Officer positions with the Covenant Group, Allmerica Financial and the Hanover Insurance Company. Mr. Hogan has a BA in Economics from Clark University and graduated from the University of Chicago Executive Management Program.

Dr. Joseph Ghassibi received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in 1981. He completed his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City. He then dedicated one year of basic research to the study of the pathophysiology of the Acute Lung Injury Syndrome. Dr. Ghassibi's interest in sleep-disordered breathing dates back to 1987 as a Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. He was among the first physicians in New York to perform cardio-respiratory sleep studies to diagnose sleep apnea. Dr. Ghassibi is involved in the teaching and training of pulmonary fellows in the field of sleep medicine. He is a recipient of the prestigious "Best Teacher" award at St. Luke's Hospital for three years in a row. He has numerous publications in the field of sleep and pulmonary disorders. Dr. Ghassibi is a fellow of the Academy of Sleep Medicine and of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is board certified in sleep medicine, pulmonary, critical care and internal medicine. Dr. Ghassibi is currently the medical co-medical director of the Sleep Disorders Institute and is an assistant clinical professor at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Judith E. Jones is a Clinical Professor at the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University and Director of the National Program Office of Free To Grow: Head Start Partnerships to Promote Substance-free Communities. She recently served as Senior Advisor to Carnegie Corporation for the Starting Points' State and Community Partnerships for Young Children grants program. Professor Jones is the founding director of the National Center for Children in Poverty established in 1989 at Columbia University, with major support provided by the Ford Foundation and the Carnegie Corporation of New York. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Center for Population and Family Health, where she developed and managed a broad range of innovative programs using community resources and preventive health strategies to provide access to needed health care for underserved low-income women, adolescents and young children.

Lawrence Amsel, MD, MPH is Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Columbia University and the Director of Education Evaluation at the New York Consortium for Trauma Treatment. He is an Associate for Medical Education at the Hastings Center. His focus has been on applying Decision Science and Game Theory to understand how clinicians and patients make individual decisions and attempt to construct shared decisions. A recently completed NIH funded project with Dan Callahan at Hastings Center involved the production of educational video on shared decision making in genetic counseling. A recent theoretical paper developed a game theory model to improve our understanding of the decision-making process in suicide attempts. From both an educational and research perspective this work raises questions about the bioethical implications of Decision Science. He serves as the Director of Dissemination Research for the Division of Trauma Studies at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. In the wake of 9/11, the group has been funded to train over a thousand community clinicians in the state of the art therapies for Post Traumatic Distress Disorder and Traumatic Grief. They are also conducting research on the best ways to conduct mass disseminations of clinical therapies by introducing innovative motivational techniques.

Principal Mark Wamble received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1983 and received his Master of Architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University in 1988. Wamble worked as a Project Designer with Eisenman Architects in New York (1983-1991) and was on the design team for the Wexner Center for the Visual Arts at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio (1983-1991). While with Eisenman Architects, Wamble also developed a line of textiles for Knoll International (1990-1991), was Project Architect on the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio (1988-1993), was Project Architect on three office buildings in Tokyo, Japan (1988-1992), and with his team, Mark designed the winning scheme for the Rebstockpark Competition in Frankfort, Germany (1990-1991). In 1990 Wamble returned to Texas, and in 1994 formed Interloop Architects, combining his interest in research and practical experience. Wamble developed Gardiner Symonds Teaching Labs 1 & 2, a series of technology based teaching facilities for Rice University. During the early 1990s Mark was selected for 40 under 40, and later that same year won the Young Architect Award given annually by the Architecture League of New York. Mark Wamble was Design Principal at Bricker + Cannady Architects in Houston (1997-2001), continuing to research throughout this time period with partner Dawn Finley of Interloop A/D. While at BCA, Mark produced the design for the Renovation of Jones Plaza in Downtown Houston, which won an AIA award and a PA Award both in 1999. Wamble combines professional practice with teaching architecture design. He has taught at Rice University School of Architecture since 1990, and is a visiting instructor at the University of Michigan, Harvard University, and Columbia University.

Marlyn Delva is the Associate Dean of the Mailman School of Public Health's Office of Student Affairs at Columbia University and the Dean of Students. Marlyn received her BA from Barnard College and her MA in Student Personnel Administration from Teachers College.She is currently a Doctoral Student in the Health Education program at Teacher's College. Marlyn oversees an office of 15 professionals who manage the day to day operations of student services and develop programs to enhance a student's experience at the school. Marlyn is an effective member of the school's dean's senior administration, as well as a member of a number ofUniversity committees focusing on student affairs, and is a strong advocate for students and School interests. Marlyn is a NYC Certified Teacher in Foreign Languages for Secondary Education, and holds membership in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, CUMC Bioethics Steering Committee, CUMC Students At Risk Committee and CUMC Core Cancer Research Center.

Dr. Mundinger has been as a director of the Company since 2002 and chairwoman of the Clinical Quality Committee of the Board since 2003. She is the centennial professor in health policy at the Columbia University School of Nursing and, since 1986, has served as dean of Columbia's School of Nursing. Dr. Mundinger is an elected member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies, the American Academy of Nursing and the New York Academy of Medicine. She is a director of Cell Therapeutics Inc. and UnitedHealth Group Incorporated.

Mehmet C. Oz, M.D. is Vice-Chair of Surgery and Irving Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Columbia University. He is the Director of the Cardiovascular Institute, the Director of Clinical Trials of New Surgical Technology, and is a founder and Director of the Complementary Medicine Program at New York Presbyterian Medical Center. His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, and healthcare policy. Dr. Oz serves as a Trustee of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, is Trustee and President of the Foundation for the Advancement of Cardiac Therapies, and has served as a Trustee for the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs. He is also a member of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Executive Committee of the American Heart Association. He is currently on the Editorial Board of Annals of Thoracic Surgery, in addition to authoring over 350 original publications, abstracts, book chapters and books. He has also received several patents in the field of cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Oz received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and obtained a joint M.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Wharton Business School.

Michael Weinberger is board certified in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He is an associate clinical professor of anesthesiology at Columbia University where he runs the Pain Management Center at Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Weinberger received his medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at St Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center and in Anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center as well as a fellowship in pain management at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Weinberger initially practiced at MSKCC as part of the pain management service before joining the staff of Overlook Hospital where he was responsible for establishing a inpatient and outpatient pain and palliative care service. Prior to joining the faculty at Columbia University, Dr. Weinberger served as the medical director of the University Pain Center. Dr. Weinberger current duties include patient care, teaching in the medical school, house officer training, research and program development. He is active in several local and national organizations related to pain management and frequently speaks on pain related topics. His areas of interest include spine-related disorders, chronic pain management and palliative care.

Michelle Sondra Ballan, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of Social Work at Columbia University. Her work focuses on clinical and educational interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, specifically related to sexual development and behavior. Her research also addresses program and practice issues pertaining to sexual offenders with disabilities. She is also interested in ethical issues in sexuality research involving vulnerable populations.

Robert Thurman, America's first Buddhist monk, was ordained in 1982 by the Dalai Lama. Wearing many hats, he now teaches Indo-Tibet Buddhist Studies in the Department of Religion at Columbia University, presides as President of Tibet House in NYC and Menla Retreat Center in Phoenicia, NY, translates Tibetan and Sanskrit philosophical writings, and is author of numerous books and articles. In 1997 Time Magazine included Bob among the 25 most influential Americans, describing him as a "larger than life scholar-activist." In his book Inner Revolution: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Real Happiness, he posits that America is poised to realize the Buddha's vision of individualism and cultural harmony, the happiness guaranteed by our founders.

Salvatore J. Stolfo is Professor of Computer Science at Columbia University. He received his Ph.D. from NYU Courant Institute in 1979 and has been on the faculty of Columbia ever since.

Savio Tung takes on this non-executive role as a complement to his existing executive role as Managing Director and Head of the Technology Investment Group at the global investment firm Investcorp, which remains unchanged. Mr. Tung has served on the boards of many of Investcorp portfolio companies, including Club Car, Circle K, Saks Fifth Avenue, Simmons Mattresses, Star Market, Stratus Computer, CSK Auto and Utimaco. He is currently a board member of Vaultus, Wireless Telecom Group and Viewlocity. He is also a board member and treasurer of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, an affiliate of Rockefeller University, and a member of the Committee of 100. Mr. Tung was born in Hong Kong. He attended secondary school in Hong Kong until he was 16 years of age, when he moved to, and studied in, the United States. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University of New York. He is a trustee of Columbia University. He is also on the board of the Columbia Investment Management Company, chairs the Finance Committee of Columbia University and is a member of the Columbia University Medical Center ("Health Science") Committee.

Susan C. Taylor, MD, Director is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Taylor is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University and attending physician at both Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center, New York. She received her medical degree from Harvard University.

Dr. Grimblatov is a professor of Laser Physics at Columbia University and Chief Laser Specialist at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He has over 20 years R&D experience and has worked with various companies in the US, Russia, and Italy in laser applications for medicine. Over the last twelve months Dr. Grimblatov and his team have been involved in breakthrough research in the application of laser therapy to alleviate oral side effects in cancer patients who underwent chemo and radiation therapies. Dr. Grimblatov spent two years working with Elektromedicalle (Italy) as an invited research professor. He has published 93 articles and owns 24 patents issued in the US, Europe, and USSR. His biography has been published in the marquis "Who is Who in Science and Engineering in USA". Dr. Grimblatov also serves on the Low Level Laser Therapy committee at SPIE (International Society of Optical Engineers).

Vincent R. Racaniello is the Higgins Professor of Microbiology at Columbia University. His main research interest is on the replication and pathogenesis of poliovirus and hepatitis C virus. Dr. Racaniello received his B.A. from Cornell University and Ph.D. from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He did a postdoctoral fellowship with Nobel Laureate Dr. David Baltimore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Racaniello is currently Editor of the Journal of Virology and has served on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Virology and Virology. From 1995-1998, he served as Chairman of the National Institutes of Health Virology Study Section. He has been a member of the World Health Organization Steering Committee on Hepatitis/Polio and a consultant for Lederle Laboratories, Inc. and Applied Biotechnology, Inc.

Dr.Fredi Kronenberg is Professor of Clinical Physiology, and is Director of the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Center for Complementary & Alternative Medicine at Columbia University at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. She is a physiologist whose expertise is in the area of women's health, with a focus on menopause. Her current research involves alternative treatments for menopausal problems, especially hot flashes; and she has conducted a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual national survey on alternative medicine use by women. Dr. Kronenberg is also the Director of the NIH-funded Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research in Aging and Women's Health. Dr. Kronenberg's research efforts include the examination of alternative treatments for menopausal problems, including a study of the herbal remedy black cohosh for hot flashes. She is also conducting a study in New York City of the use of herbal medicines used by practitioners of several ethnic traditions for treating women's health problems. Dr. Kronenberg is director of two courses for physicians, offered annually at Columbia University: "Botanical Medicine in Modern Clinical Practice" and "Integrative Pain Medicine." She is the author of scientific and popular articles, and speaks widely across the country and abroad. In 1997 she was among those who received the "American Health for Women Award: Ten Heroes in Women's Health", being recognized "for bringing alternative medicine into the mainstream." She also received the "A Friend Indeed Award" from the North American Menopause Society; recipients demonstrate "innovation in studies about, or services to women in menopause." Dr.Kronenberg was a co-founder of the North American Menopause Society. She is on the editorial board of the journal Menopause, Journal of Tropical and Medicinal Plants, and Alternative Therapies in Women's Health, a newsletter for clinicians. As managing director and head of worldwide corporate communications for JPMorgan Chase, the $1.2 trillion global financial services company, Evangelisti serves as chief spokesman for the company, responsible for all media relations. He also leads internal communications and is a member of the firm's Brand Marketing Council. Prior to assuming these responsibilities earlier this year, Evangelisti served as head of media relations for JPMorgan Chase and for JPMorgan before it was purchased by Chase in 2000. Between 1991 and 1994, Evangelisti was based in London —heading media relations, internal communications, branding and advertising for JPMorgan in the UK , continental Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Between 1986 and 1991, Evangelisti was a member of the company's corporate communications group, holding a variety of junior roles in media relations and internal communications. He joined JPMorgan in 1986 after completing the retail executive training program at Lord & Taylor.

Kate Ganz has been involved in the non-profit world for over nine years as a member of the boards of Helen Keller Worldwide, an agency devoted to the eradication of blindness and global health issues, and The Putney School, an independent art orientated school in Vermont. Ms. Ganz is also an art historian and fine art dealer, with an active gallery in New York City. Ms. Ganz serves on the Board of Overseers at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, Ca., the Advisory Council of the Department of Art History at Columbia University, and the Heads Council at the Brearley School in New York City. She lives in Los Angeles and New York and is married to Mr. Belin.

CHAIR, PR AND MARKETING - LAWRENCE A. KOBRIN has been an active real estate attorney and is now the senior real estate partner of a Wall Street law firm. After graduating from Ramaz, he attended Columbia College and Columbia Law School. Mr. Kobrin is currently the Chairman of the Board of The Jewish Week in New York, a member of the Executive Committee of the Jewish Campus Life Fund at Columbia University, and of the Board of Directors of the UOJCA, where he has been a national officer and chairman of its Israel Commission. He is active on the executive committees of the Beth Din of America and the Orthodox Caucus.

Laura Zeidenstein, CNM, is Director of the Graduate Midwifery Program at Columbia University, and was one of the founders and clinical directors of the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center. She received her graduate midwifery degree from Yale University in 1988. Laura has provided midwifery care in a variety of urban settings both in hospital and in freestanding birth centers. She was an editor of the Journal of Midwifery and Women's health. Laura helps us on a part-time basis. She lives in Brooklyn with her partner and their teen aged son.

Stephen A. Brunton, MD, is director of Faculty Development at the Cabarrus/ North East Medical Center Family Medicine Residency in Charlotte, NC. He holds the academic rank of clinical professor in the Departments of Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and the University of Southern California. Dr Brunton is a board-certified family practice physician, with a certificate of added qualification in geriatrics. A former president of the California Academy of Family Physicians and the Association of Family Practice Residency Directors (AAPRD), Dr Brunton has held many positions within the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). He served as director of the division of education for the AAFP in the early 1980s and was a family practice residency director in California for 13 years. He has been involved in behavior modification education for the past 20 years and has worked with the National Cancer Institute on smoking cessation programs. A frequent lecturer, Dr Brunton also has published numerous articles, chapters, and monographs on family medicine and related clinical topics.. Dr Brunton serves in editorial capacities for, Internal Medicine Alert, Journal of Clinical Hypertension, Primary Care Special Edition, and Family Practice Recertification. He is also a reviewer for American Family Physician.

Vikram Pandit is the Chief Executive Officer of Citi. Before being named CEO on December 11, 2007, Mr. Pandit was Chairman and CEO of Citi's Institutional Clients Group, which includes Markets & Banking and Citi Alternative Investments. Formerly the Chairman and CEO of Citi Alternative Investments, Mr. Pandit was a founding member and chairman of the members committee of Old Lane, LP which was acquired by Citi in 2007. Previously, Mr. Pandit was President and Chief Operating Officer of Morgan Stanley's institutional securities and investment banking business and was a member of the firm's Management Committee. Mr. Pandit serves on the boards of Columbia University, Columbia Business School, the Indian School of Business, and Trinity School. He is a former board member of NASDAQ, the New York City Investment Fund, and the American India Foundation. Mr. Pandit earned a PhD in Finance from Columbia University in 1986. He also received an MS degree in 1977 and a BS degree in electrical engineering in 1976 from Columbia.

The pastor of the Church in the Highlands is the Rev. Dr. Charles P. Calcagni. Everyone in the congregation and throughout Westchester County calls him Charlie. He is the recipient of four earned degrees and is married to Caroline Field Calcagni. Together they have five children and nine grandchildren. He has been our pastor for ten years. Charlie has been the senior pastor in four different parishes before coming to the Highlands Church. During that time, he has distinguished himself with many awards and accomplishments. He was the recipient of the of the National Junior Chamber of Commerce Award as one of America's top young men, prepared over 50 papers on the subject of Holy Communion for the Roman Catholic Conclave known as Vatican II, a member of the Board of Corporators of the Exeter, New Hampshire Hospital, President of Exeter Rotary Club, a member of the Board of Advisors and Lecturer for eight years for the Foundation of Thanatology at Columbia University, a member of the Board of Guarduians of the Family of Man Award for the Council of Churches in New York City, awarded the most prestigious award of "Righteous Christian" by the New Yok City and Long Island Conference of Jews, Chairman of the White PLains YMCA Board of Directors for two years, host of a local television show known as Views From The Pews and his biography exceeds over two single-spaced pages. Many organizations, colleges, universities, synagogues and churches all over the United States have asked him to address them because he is well known nationally as a scholar, preacher, speaker and lecturer.

Jenna graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College in 2006 with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, focusing on modern Chinese history and foreign policy. She is also a member of the Barnard section of the Columbia University chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Inspired by her thesis research on sustainable development and water resources in China, Jenna plans to pursue a career working on sustainable development and poverty alleviation issues in China and other developing countries. Jenna has lived and studied in China. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and French.
