Commercial Metals is engaged in manufacturing, recycling, marketing and distributing steel and metal products and related materials and services through a network of locations located throughout the U.S. and internationally. As of Aug 31 2007, Co. had five business segments: domestic mills, a network of steel mills; CMCZ, a Swiss steel mill subsidiary; domestic fabrication, operating steel reinforcing bar fabrication and construction-related product sales facilities; recycling, processing secondary metals for use as a raw material by manufacturers; and marketing and distribution, buying and selling primary and secondary metals, fabricated metals and other industrial products.
