Nelson Searcy has been successfully leading and managing organizations since age 14, when he began a technology company that eventually serviced nationally recognized corporations. His leadership ability has been formed not only by leading his own company but also through invitations to lead nonprofit, volunteer and Christian organizations. Nelson has received national awards for his leadership ability and is recognized as one of the most innovative leaders in North America. He holds a graduate degree from Duke University and is currently pursuing a doctorate. Not just a consultant, Nelson is actively involved in the day to day world of leadership as the President of The Epic Group in New York City. A highly sought after speaker, Nelson travels extensively, speaking to several thousand people a year. In addition to his current responsibilities as a speaker, teacher and consultant, Nelson began SmartLeadership in 1998 to equip leaders to achieve personal influence through integrity, innovation and intelligence. His passion is effective leadership and his heart is helping others become SmartLeaders. In addition to keynote speeches, Nelson also delivers a number of 2 hour, half-day and full day seminars.
