Marc Foman is the owner and founder of Marc's Guitar Center. He and his wife Linda Volz have been operating the business since 1978. He holds a bachelor's degree in honors English from the University of Massachusetts. Marc has an extensive musical background both performing in bands and teaching guitar dating back to 1963. He has played in bands that reflect the evolving history of rock guitar from doo-wop to metal. You can often find him on the sales floor of his store talking about his two favorite subjects: Beatles music & music theory as it applies to the guitar fretboard.

Until 2002, George R. Mrkonic was Vice Chairman of Borders Group, Inc., (BGI) the second largest book retailer in the U.S. He joined BGI in 1994 as President and Vice Chairman. Mr. Mrkonic began his retail career in 1978 and has led several retail companies including Herman's Sporting Goods, Eyelab and Kmart's Specialty Retailing Group.
