John Rutherford has served as one of our directors and has served as a member of the Compensation Committee (now the Compensation, Governance and Nominating Committee) of the Board of Directors since August of 1999. From 1998 to the present, Mr. Rutherford has served as a Managing Partner of Parthenon Capital, a private equity investment firm. From 1991 to 1998, Mr. Rutherford was the Chairman of the Parthenon Group, a consulting firm. A native of Wellington, New Zealand, Mr. Rutherford holds a B.E. (1st Class Honors) degree from the University of Canterbury, an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Howard Deichen has served as Executive Vice President since 2000. From 1993 to 2000, Mr. Deichen served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Paradigm Health Corporation, a private company providing disease state management for complex medical events including catastrophic injury and extreme low birth-weight neonates. From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Deichen served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Kinetic Concepts Inc., the nation's largest specialty bed and medical equipment company. Mr. Deichen helped lead Kinetic Concepts Initial Public Offering in 1988. Mr. Deichen holds a MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and received his BA of Economics from Carleton College in Northfield MN, in 1975.
Jonathan H. Glenn has served as our Chief Legal and Administrative Officer since March of 2000. From 1998 until joining MedAssets, Mr. Glenn was a principal of The Vine Group, LLC, a business consulting firm concentrating on healthcare and information technology. From 1994 until March 1997, Mr. Glenn served as Vice President and General Counsel of TheraTx, Inc. Mr. Glenn received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Nick Sears, M.D. serves as Chief Medical Officer for MedAssets, Inc. Dr. Sears joined MedAssets through Aspen Healthcare Metrics as Senior Vice President of Clinical Services in 2004. Dr. Sears is a Board Certified Cardiovascular Surgeon with more than 20 years of experience as a cardiothoracic surgeon and physician executive. He practiced Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgery for 12 years in both the private and academic settings. He served as Vice-chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vice-chief of Surgery at Tampa General Hospital, and as Co-Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program. He also held the position of Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Sears has an extensive background in the healthcare consulting industry. He is recognized for being a catalyst for instituting and managing improvement in patient care and clinical outcomes, medical staff governance and operations issues and improved financial performance in healthcare organizations.

Randall B. Sparkman has over 23 years of experience in the Information Technology field, most of those years in Healthcare. He served as Vice President of Information Systems for MedAssets Supply Chain Systems since 1989, and was recently named Chief Information and Technical Officer for MedAssets, Inc. While with MedAssets, Randy and his staff have been responsible for developing several systems and technologies that give MedAssets its niche in electronics, including the industry leading CDQuick e-catalog. In his current role as MedAssets, Randy is responsible for shaping the technology and direction of all information technology initiatives. Randy began his computer career in 1981 as Vice President of Software Development at Cape Computer Service, Inc. where he specialized in the design and development of custom PC systems. Rand Ballard serves as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Customer Officer for MedAssets, Inc. His responsibilities include developing leadership, training, and accountability for all the various functions for MedAssets businesses. Prior to joining MedAssets, Rand's most recent experience was at Cardinal Healthcare. He was accountable for implementing contracts with subsequent annual sales of $1.6 Billion. Mr. Ballard holds an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University with a triple major in finance, operations, and marketing. Rand was a deans' list undergraduate at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with concentration in nuclear physics, nuclear engineering, and business law. In addition to his position at MedAssets, Rand serves as Chairman of the Board of the Meals on Wheels Association of America Foundation, Chair of Healthcare Industry Group Purchasing Association (HIGPA), and is Vice President of Health Careers Foundation, a non-profit organization addressing the employment needs of our returning veterans, under the Hire Heroes USA program.

Allen is President, Customer Development & Sales, for MedAssets' Revenue Cycle Management Segment. Allen joined MedAssets (OSI) in 1996 as Owner, Principal and Executive Vice President. Prior to MedAssets, Allen was Executive Vice President Sales and CEO for Transcend Services, Inc., a Medical Records outsourcing company, from 1992 to 1996. From 1980 to 1992, Allen held various positions within HBOC, Inc., now McKesson. Amy Dotson-Sebero joined MedAssets Net Revenue Systems in 1993 as a Client Service Executive. Prior to joining MedAssets Net Revenue Systems, Amy was an auditor (CPA) and consultant with Ernst & Young in the Jacksonville and Miami offices from 1984-1993. Amy specialized in healthcare auditing and consulting and assisted in the development of the Firm's rate modeling software. Amy is an active participant with the Healthcare Roundtable and has been a speaker and author for the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from the University of North Florida.

Brian Kelly is the President of Waverly Partners, Inc. Chip Halverson joined MedAssets in June 1999. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Halverson served as the Corporate Senior Vice President of Comdisco. From 1992 to 1996, Mr. Halverson was the President of Comdisco Healthcare Group, a subsidiary of Comdisco providing lease financing and refurbished equipment on a worldwide basis to the diagnostic imaging market. David joined MedAssets in 1996. David leads the sales and customer development organization and is also very involved in tactical and strategic product planning. David has 25 years of healthcare consulting and decision support experience. David has been the executive-in-charge of over 300 chargemaster projects including a large number of corporate chargemaster standardization projects. Neil Hunn joined MedAssets as Vice President of Business Development in October 2001 and was named Senior Vice President of Business Development in 2005. Later, Mr. Hunn served as President, MedAssets Net Revenue Systems. Mr. Hunn became the Chief Financial Officer in the second quarter, 2007. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Hunn was the Segment Executive for Professional Services and Director of Business Development for CMGI where he oversaw the operations of CMGI's professional services division, Tallan. Scott Gressett has served as our Chief Accounting Officer since June 2007. Mr. Gressett joined MedAssets at its founding as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller and was named Senior Vice President of Finance in October 2004. From 1995 until June 1999, Mr. Gressett held Controller positions with companies in the manufacturing and family entertainment industries. In addition, Mr. Gressett has previously worked for Ernst & Young, LLP serving clients in the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Mr. Gressett is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Accounting.
Andrea Fish, Vice President, Sales. Andrea joined MedAssets Net Revenue Systems in 1997. Prior, Andrea worked at The Children's Heart Center in the areas of Risk and Quality Management, and Clinical Research and Development. Andrea formerly held the position of Senior Financial Consultant for three years at MedAssets Net Revenue Systems. Charles Kirkpatrick serves as Regional Vice President of the Western Zone. Prior to this position, Charles as also held positions as Vice President, Sales and Director, Alternate Healthcare with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems. Before joining the company, Charles was the Director of Logistics for Shield Healthcare, where he successfully moved the company into new headquarters and combined two distribution facilities into one new facility. Charles began his healthcare career in the early eighties with Bergen Brunswig Medical Supply. While with Bergen, he was Director, National Purchasing for Medical Supply Division. As BBMS transitioned from a division of Bergen Brunswig to a free-standing company to their merger with Owens & Minor, he was the Director of Vendor Relations with the marketing department. Dr. Ron Hartmann serves as our Vice President of the Pharmacy Division. A native of Southern California, Ron earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine and his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California. Following his Residency at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Ron moved to the Washington DC area and helped to develop the pharmacy program at the Washington Hospital Center. Family considerations prompted a move to St. Louis, where Dr. Hartmann began his career at St. John's Mercy Medical Center and the Sisters of Mercy Health System - St. Louis. This change was the beginning of Ron's relationship with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems as a member of MedAssets' Pharmacy Advisory Committee. Ron joined the MedAssets Pharmacy Division in July 2000.
Frank has thirty plus years of experience working in a variety of healthcare settings. Frank has a degree in Business Administration with a focus specifically on healthcare along with thirteen years hospital experience in various staff level positions; ten plus years faith-based group purchasing experience focused in the medical/surgical and alternate site arenas; and seven years MedAssets Supply Chain Systems experience focused primarily on distribution and distributor relationships nationally. Frank's most recent past role within the Contracting Department related to Custom Contracting regarding the expansive IDN commitments MedAssets Supply Chain Systems has achieved in the marketplace. Coordination between the MedAssets Supply Chain Systems Implementation Team at the field level and the negotiating staff at the Contracting level related to the special contracting requirements for each of the IDN partners was a primary function of Frank's most recent role for the MedAssets Supply Chain Systems Contracting Team. Frank is well known for his customer focused service and responsiveness which are hallmarks of his continuing commitment to the healthcare industry.

Gordon Ireland serves as our Vice President of Clinical Pharmacy Services. Along with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland, he also obtained a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree in clinical pharmacy from the University of Minnesota. His professional experience has included community pharmacy, inpatient medicine, critical care, ambulatory care, long term care, family practice, and establishing clinical pharmacy services in various hospitals. His last position was with a community family practice office in Maryland where he managed the medical care of patients with chronic diseases. Gordon has participated in advisory committees, speakers' bureaus, consulted with various pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, long term care facilities, managed care organizations, and colleges, published numerous articles, and presented nationally and internationally on a variety of health care topics.

In addition, Jaimie is responsible for the team of specialists that maintain MedAssets' Knowledgebase data repository as well as the CDM Consulting Services group. During her career with MedAssets Net Revenue Systems, Jaimie has managed several hundred strategic pricing, compliance, and chargemaster standardization projects. Prior to joining Integrated Healthcare Strategies, Mr. Senske served as executive vice president of VHA, Inc. of Irving, Texas. Prior to joining VHA, Inc., Senske was president and chief executive officer of VHA Minnesota and VHA North Central in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
