JOSEPH Y. LIU - Mr. Liu, one of our founders, has served as our Chief Executive Officer and President since October 2002, and has served as a member of our Board of Directors since our inception in 1995. Previously, Mr. Liu served as our Chief Executive Officer from September 1999 to November 2001, and served as our Chairman of the Board of Directors from inception in 1995 through May 2000 and again from November 2001 to August 2002. From 1994 to 1995, Mr. Liu was the General Partner of Techlink Technology Ventures. Prior to 1994, Mr. Liu spent ten years as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Techlink Semiconductor and Equipment Corp., a semiconductor equipment and technology company. Mr. Liu also serves as a director of several privately held companies involved in semiconductor integrated circuit design and manufacturing. Mr. Liu received his B. S. from Chinese Cultural University, Taiwan and his M. S. from California State University, Chico.

Mr. Ingebretsen is responsible for implementing Oplink Communications Inc. worldwide quality and reliability management systems. Charles joined Oplink in October 2000 after 18 years of progressive operations management experience at Adept Technology Inc, a manufacturer of automation equipment and controls. Charles held various operations and quality management positions and served as director of quality and reliability engineering. Mr. Ingebretsen has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from San Jose State University as well as several industry certifications including that of a lead auditor, trainer and Quality Engineer.

Mr. Lee has served as our Chief Operating Officer since August 2008. Mr. Lee joined the company in August 2000 and held positions as Production Manager, Product Engineering Manager, Director of Product Engineering and since April 2005, Senior Director of PLM and Operations. In May 2007, Mr. Lee was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and PLM, responsible of managing activities in PLM, Manufacturing, R&D and Strategic Planning. Mr. Lee received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.

Ms. Yin has served as Chief Financial Officer since August 2007. Prior to that, Shirley served as Vice President Finance and Acting CFO and was also Oplink's Controller for five years. Prior to joining Oplink, Shirley spent several years in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers. She received a Bachelor of Economics in Business Management from Zhongshan University in China and an M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Southern California. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Yang has served as our Vice President of Operations since May 2005. From January 1999 to May 2005, Dr. Yang found success in various positions including, General Manager of China Operations, CEO Staff, Vice President of Global Manufacturing/Operations, Senior Director of R&D and an Optical Engineer. Prior to joining Oplink, Dr. Yang spent six years as Director of the Research Institute of Optoelectronics at China Daheng Corporation, a high tech photonic company under the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), from March 1993 to January 1999. In addition to authoring several publications, he owns four patents and was twice named Outstanding Researcher by CAS. He is a member of the Optical Society of China as well as the International Society of Optical Engineering. Dr. Yang received his B. S., M. S. and Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology, China.

Mr. Li has served as our Vice President of Engineering since August 2006. From November 2003 to July 2006, Mr. Li found success in various positions including Director of OMS Engineering and Manager of Subsystem. Mr. Li has more than 16 years of experience in telecom and datacom industries. Prior to joining Oplink, Mr. Li spent six years as Senior System Designer at Riverstone Networks and Anda Networks. Earlier in his career, Mr. Li served as Senior System Architect for SDH transmission system at Fiberhome for six years. Mr. Li received his B.S., from Wuhan University and M. S. in Optical Communication System from Wuhan Research Institute under the Ministry of Information Industry (MII), China.

Dr. Lin has served as our VP of Marketing since August 2008. Dr. Lin joined Oplink in January 2001, and has held the positions of Product Line Manager, Manager of FAE & Technical Support, Senior Customer Engineer and Senior Director of Technical Marketing and Customer Support. Prior to joining Oplink, Dr. Lin was Director of Technology at Liquidmetal Golf in Laguna Niguel, California. Dr. Lin received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, and his M.S. and PhD in Applied Physics from California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

Stephen M. Welles has served as Vice President and General Counsel since May 2008. Mr. Welles brings with him more than a decade of technology law experience with leading law firms, most recently with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto. Prior to that he was with Ropes & Gray in Boston. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Economics from Boston College.

Miss Yuan has served as our General Manager of China since June 2008. Miss Yuan joined the company in September 2000 as our Deputy General Manager of Engineering & Manufacturing, Zhuhai Oplink. In November 2002, Miss Yuan was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing, China. Before joining Oplink, Miss Yuan was Vice President of ADF Fiber Co., Ltd. Prior to ADF, Miss Yuan spent five years as a Senior Engineer in the Optical Communications Department of Shenzhen Kaifa Technology Inc. Ms. Yuan received her B.S. in Magnetic Physics & Devices from Huazhong University of Science & Technology (HUST) and her M.S. in Physics from Shanghai University of Science & Technology.

CHIEH CHANG has been a member of our board of directors since September 1995. From February 2000 to February 2003, Mr. Chang served as Chief Executive Officer of Programmable Microelectronics Company, Inc., a fabless semiconductor design company. From April 1992 to August 1996, Mr. Chang was the Director of Technology at Cirrus Logic, Inc., a semiconductor company. Mr. Chang received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.

Mr. Cheng has served as our General Manager of China/Macau since May 2005. Mr. Cheng has more than 28 years of experience in manufacturing and factory management. Early in his career, Mr. Cheng served as an engineer and manager at Taiwan Far-Eastern Textile Mechanical Co. in Taiwan. After emigrating to the United States in 1990, Mr. Cheng worked for six years as an engineer at Wan Sen Electronic Co., and for five years as the Country Manager and Factory GM at RAE Systems Inc. in Shanghai (Jiading) China. Most recently, Mr. Cheng has worked as a consultant for Stratum Technologies, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Cheng received his B. S. in Mechanical Engineering from Taiwan Taugtong University, Taiwan.

LEONARD J. LEBLANC has been a member of our board of directors since July 2000. Mr. LeBlanc was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Vantive Corporation, a customer relationship management software and solution company, from August 1998 to January 2000. From March 1996 to July 1997, Mr. LeBlanc was the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Infoseek Corporation, an Internet search and navigation company. From September 1993 to December 1994, Mr. LeBlanc served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration of GTECH Corporation, a manufacturer of lottery equipment and systems. From May 1987 to December 1992, Mr. LeBlanc served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Cadence Design Systems, Inc., an electronic design automation software company. Mr. LeBlanc received his B.S. and M.S. from the College of Holy Cross, and his master degree in finance from George Washington University.

Chieh Chang has been a director of Genesis since November 2004. Mr. Chang has been a member of the board of directors of Oplink Communications, Inc. since September 1995. Since February 2003, Mr. Chang has served as Vice Chairman of Programmable Microelectronics Company, Inc., a fabless semiconductor design company, and from February 2000 to February 2003, as its Chief Executive Officer. From April 1992 to August 1996, Mr. Chang was the Director of Technology at Cirrus Logic, Inc., a semiconductor company. Mr. Chang received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University and his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.

Jesse W. Jack has been a member of our Board of Directors since July 2002. Since January 2003, Mr. Jack has been self-employed as an attorney with The Law Offices of Jesse Jack. He is also the Vice President and General Counsel for I-Bus Corporation, a privately held company. From 1996 until January 2003, Mr. Jack was a partner in the law firm of Jack & Keegan, a California Limited Liability Partnership. Mr. Jack served on the board of directors of The Parkinson s Institute from 1988 through 2000. Mr. Jack received his B.S. from California State University, San Jose and his J.D. from Hastings College of Law.

A director since November 1996. Since January 2004, Mr. Chang has been Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MagnetoX Ltd., a semiconductor development company based in Taiwan. Since April 1996, Mr. Chang has been President of InveStar Capital, Inc., a technology venture capital management firm based in Taiwan. Since February 1998, Mr. Chang has also been the managing member of Forefront Associates LLC, which is the general partner of Forefront Venture Partners, L.P. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Chang was Senior Vice President of WK Technology Fund, a venture capital fund. Mr. Chang serves as a director for Oplink Communications, Inc. Mr. Chang holds a Bachelor of Science degree from National Taiwan University and a Master of Business Administration degree from National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan.
