Royal & Sun Alliance

Simon has been Chief Executive of R&SA's International business since April 2003. Previously he spent 17 years with the National Westminster Bank Group, in the UK and US including time as Chief Executive, NatWest Offshore and Head of US Retail Banking.

John has been Group director since July 2003 and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since October 2003. Previous roles include chairman of DX Services plc (trucking), director of Provident Financial plc and director of Homeserve plc (electric utilities). He is also governor of the Royal Ballet School and chairman of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. He was formerly executive director of Prudential Group plc, and was also the Director General of the AA.

Rita has worked in the insurance industry for many years. Her first job was in an insurance brokers in Eastleigh where Martyn Ingram was a director. Since then she has worked for a number of other brokers and for Royal & Sun Alliance. She joined Norris & Fisher in September 2007..

John has been a director since January 2003 and was appointed Group Chairman and Chairman of the Nomination Committee in March 2003. He is also the non-executive Chairman of Kelda Group plc (water utility), having previously been Executive Chairman and Chief Executive. John's previous executive roles include Chairman of Booker plc, Managing Director of Hays plc and Managing Director of AGB plc (market research and information services).

George was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Group director in May 2004. He was previously Head of Capital Management at Zurich Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer of its UK operation. Before that George spent ten years with Prudential.
